After my first surgery, it took 2 years before I could run 5k again. That lasted for 3 years (although it was painful any longer than that). Then, the cartilage broke down and I had to have another surgery. I'm 5 years out from that last one and no, I don't run. I can bike ok, but it's not like it was before.

I have a bad disc in back... arthritis in hip and have bi lateral knee replacement.. can a person do a roll without a hip snap
There's a Chinese guy on utube, Fungs roll or something similar. He's developed a roll for physically challenged ppl who want to kayak.
