Idk what possessed YT's Remembrancer to suddenly combine and drop these longer form vids, but my sleep cycle and lore addiction are all too appreciative.
I know, if I start the video when I get to work, the video is over by the time I go to my first break, and the loyalists legions is about the same length
World eaters video is still my favorite, something about the line at the end about how a wolf that heels doesnt behave like a wolf when talking about the space wolfs, one of the best insult
the more i watch 40k lore and see what legion i like the most, its so hard to decide. i want to be loyalist but i cant i feel like. i think my favourite legion is the word bearers. the night lords are really cool aswell. iron warriors too
A primarch's legion is supposed to be a reflection of the primarch. That makes sense since they're made with their genes and chosen for having personality types similar to them. But I think GW messed up with the World Eaters. They modeled the 12th after what Angron became but not what he was supposed to be. He was deeply empathetic, loyal, and honorable. His primarch power was literally empathy based. He became a monster because of the abuse he endured and the Butcher's Nails. His legion should have been the most honorable and loyal in the Imperium. But GW has them as merciless butchers and rage filled animals before Angron is brought in and before they're given the nails. They should have became more and more savage due to Angron's influence which forced them to act against their nature which would explain the civil war more
If you know the lore you know why is makes sense. They were as the Blood Angels once were but instead of getting a Primarch like Sangunuise to help them they got Angron. The positive aspects of Angron in the Legion like empathy just made things worse as it's what lead to them feeling bad for Angron and then putting the nails in there brain
@@invntivyeah same as Blood Angels the Legions aren't always reflective of there Primarch 100 percent as many of the Legions would contradict or just be different compared to how the Primarch would change there Legion. Also it was probably partially the Emperor's fault for wanting The World Eaters to be the way they are as what use would empathy have against the enemies of the Imperium
@jeambeam3173 the Blood Angels took after their primarch perfectly. Sanguinius was a monster with a pretty face who learned to keep it under control. The Blood Angels were the same. Sanguinius tried his best to get his sons to control their violent impulses and redirect it to art and creation. Even then, they could barely control the red thirst. Angron's legion took after the monster he would become not the man he was made to be.
I've been scouring for any video that has lore for the death guard beyond just the Barbaros-Mortarion stuff, and the pre-heresy stuff. And my GOD dude, i feel like a damn expert now
Absolutely first rate. Excellent narration as well. I like your inflection points. Well done...However I thought we talked about this....about the heresy. The Remembrancer I'm sorry. it's far too late for that now. Me: Oh....Oh dear...
I am so damn happy I found your channel. This is exactly what I've been looking for. A lore channel that knew how to properly narrate this grim lore, including relevant images, and not sullying the content by just freestyle podcast with some buddies. Glory to the remembrancer!
As I was loading up the video, I said "THE LEGIONNES ASTARTES" like The Remembrancer and then the first words out of his mouth were "THE LEGIONNES ASTARTES"
I always think of that Grapelords video when I hear about the Iron Lose-I mean Iron Warriors. Also, find it funny that they're literally projecting everything that went wrong onto the Imperium, when its all Pertweebo's fault and the teenage angst he had against his dad, the Emperor of Mankind, as well as his adopted father, being suoer paranoid of they guy for no real reason. Their relationship was reciprocal, abd his step father never forced him to make weapons, Peter Turbo chose to contribute via development of technological advances in warefare.
I’m loving these longer form video’s really getting a in-depth look in to all the different legions. Could you do a video on the Thunder Warriors please. You hear them mentioned all the time as throw away comments. I would really love to understand their importance to the Emperor at the Beginning and there ultimate sacrifice/demise at the hands of the Astartes.
I've always thought it's a pity there aren't more stories from the Unification Wars as it's a totally neglected time period that has the potential for some great stories. Hopefully after the Siege of Terra is wrapped up Black Library will explore the era of Unification in more detail.
My favorite bois know how to live it up. Slaaneshy leather daddies and nurglings.....so funny to listen to the chaos books. Lords of silence and fabulous Bill trilogy are the best writing in the library.
Ok, so I’ve read elsewhere that Perturabo is a daemon Primarch but man, that feels so out of character for him. I can’t imagine any of the Chaos Gods being able to offer him anything he’d actually want. They’re all so bound to the flesh ya know? I wish they’d retcon it as him just turning himself into a massive mechanical monstrosity to the point where all that beautiful genetic tinkering The Emperor used to create him is just wiped away, almost as an act of spite against his father. Maybe Perty even commits one of the arch sins and makes himself a full on artificial intelligence. That’d really stick it to his dad.
I was always confused on the Mortarian part, where he was in the necere's fortress as a child and was "ok" about the noxius gas atmosphere, so shouldn't his adult body still be "ok" with the fortress' atmosphere? Or as a child was he given some sort of rebreather? Or maybe Necere decided to make the noxius fumes worse?
So in Buried Dagger it explains that Morty was never brought into Nekars actual fortress. He was kept in a tower just below the point where Morty world have been killed by the gas, but still high enough to keep him in a somewhat weakened state.
The most moral one (if you can call them that) are the nightlords Because their rebellion makes sense The worst legion is hands down the Emperors children both in actions and beliefs
Fun fact : iron warriors , the decimation thing where they had to kill each other comes from Roman army , they would split legions up into groups of 10 and only give them 9 sticks .
Ok... hear me out. The Emperor's Children, with all the crap they have going on with their faces and piercings and stuff, shouldn't their chapters be named The Zoomers instead of Millennials?? And when it comes to painting, instead of saying you are using Nuln oil, maybe it should be referred to nonce oil??
You have some sort of vocal effect I don’t like on this. It sounds like mouth noises, but it’s some sort of noise filtering that separates the highest sounds from the lowest, I believe by cutting the midrange out. Leaving this strange echo of mouth noises. I don’t know if it’s you or UA-cam, but it makes it hard to listen to with headphones. For me. I can’t stand mouth noises.
Chainaxe... haha, the stupidest Astartes weapon ever. Chainsword can at least function as a chainsaw, but putting a chainsaw on an axe just makes the thing unable to be used as an axe and as a chainsaw as well.
You do great videos, but I'll be honest, I'll only watch a fraction of this one. 4 hours is way too long. Broken down into smaller videos I would have watched it all
What I find disgusting about the 40k "universe" is the fandom. Fans are willing to love "The Emperor of Mankind" evn though he experimented on children. I dont feel bad for the Chaos Marines hating the Emperor or turning their backs on Him. He did horrible things to them, took ten year old children and turned them into killing machines before they had a chance to grow up, develope, and live their lives. No, to 40k fan, diddling kids is okay and when they go crazy from all the abuse and they retaliate, it's somehow *their* fault their minds, bodies, and spirits were screwed with in the darkest ways possible, in the first place. Typical hypocrisy.
It's just fun fiction. It's more about getting in the spirit of the setting. I'd hardly call it sincere hypocrisy on the part of the people enjoying the media.

That is awesome for work.

Im knocking out the rest of my shift with this.
Time to sit back and relax with the dulcet tones of my favorite memory man....and heresy....cant forget the heresy.

These combined videos are incredible man.
If Big E had just spelled the Lupercal’s name differently none of this would have happened. Horace is not a guy who starts a Heresy but Horus is.

Great content and keep up the good work! You will be at 100k+ subs soon with this content.
watch out Luetin09 this mans a competitor and a good one
Listened to the loyalist one recently too, great compilations and narration 👍🏻
The great work continues by the Remembrancer.
