The biggest civil cargo airplane of the world, Beluga, landed on
Thursday (28/9) at Frankfurt to participate in the international
air freight exhibition. Through a cargo door the size of a
5-storey house, two U.N. helicopters were unloaded to demonstrate
the freight and loading capacities of the newly developed airbus.
The aircraft is capable of carrying large engines, containerised satellites and even ocean yachts. The Beluga has been developed by Airbus Industries - a multi-national consortium.
