Thank you again Summer for teaching me the easiest way to do a butterfly haircut! I just did one of these at beauty school the other day before I had watched your video and although it turned out great I think it would've turned out even better had I watched your video first!! I have learned so much about cutting hair from you! Your videos are literally priceless to me. I appreciate you. Please don't ever stop putting these videos out. Trends are constantly changing and it'll be nice to have you in my pocket when someone asks for a trendy cut I've never heard of 😂
Stationery is my preference,- easier to keep hair in place due to the extra weight on that side- but it was interesting to see both techniques and how much difference it made
I’m finding that there is 2 varieties of the butterfly I see on the internet There’s the butterfly that’s nice and full at the top and more thin and less weight under the ears and down, so it really tapers in. And then there’s butterfly where it’s all fluffy and full basically all over. I feel as though the first is less of a butterfly for me than the softer fuller version. Both look nice but i definitely prefer the fuller look all over. Also thanks for doing the side by side comparison they are really helpful!
My sides and recession area are sparse, so the stationary guide would leave me more hair to work with in front. I might switch to the traveling guide in back, where I have plenty of hair which, even though fine, tends to weigh itself down. Fortunately, your mannequin doesn't have this issue!
Also I'm pretty sure my instructor had watched your video as she said she was watching a lot of videos on the butterfly cut to figure out the best way to teach it 😊
I love the side by side. It gave me a definite direction for my next cut. I am more likely to go for a stationary guide. My hair is long and fine so I prefer to keep that overall length with less thinning out.
My name is autumn ❤ i love your videos they're honestly the most thoeough on UA-cam. Trying to cut my own hair in two days, any tips? 🙏 i have medium/short hair (collarbone length growing it longer!l) very face framing butterly cut is my goal ❤
Hi Summer! Love binging your channel! Im not a hairdresser but I do love cutting my own hair. It’s fairly long (hits my bra clasps in back) and slightly wavy. I always used the Conair round brush dryer which I love because it shows off layers. However, since I’m now trying to embrace waves, im having trouble deciding on the cut and specifically layering. Could you do a video for a cut tutorial on wavy hair and add your thought and recommendations on curtain/long blended bangs?…. Or is it not really possible to do blended bangs and face framing with wavy hair? TY!
This is awesome, I did the stationary version on myself. I already had growing out bangs and a side part and this gave great results. I may never go to a salon again. Thank you for this video
I wish we had hairdressers like you in Austria... I've been to so many but they can't cut. Now I will try it myself according to your instructions. But how do you blow dry them?
Needed this because I'm in the process of training at my salon and I was like, "Summer posted, I'll need this" and I still watch your long layered haircut tutorial and I've actually tested it out on my mannequin 😊😊😊😊

You are so sweet!! Thanks for watching and enjoying the channel! You go this girl!
Love the stationary version 💕
Thank you Master Summer..God bless Master Summer and family.😀🙏👍🙋🏻♀
This comparison is super helpful! Anyone saying “long and drawn out” doesn’t understand the point of the video. Thank you as always ❤
They are both beautifully cut. I like the stationary guide a little more. ❤
Stationery is my preference,- easier to keep hair in place due to the extra weight on that side- but it was interesting to see both techniques and how much difference it made
Thanks for sharing!
Stationary is soooooo flattering and pretty, I completely prefer the subtle angle and weight. Thank you❤
It really is!

The stationary side would be such an easy haircut to do on myself. 😊
For sure!
I like the Stationary guide the best❤
It was great to see the side by side comparison. I cannot decide, I keep going back and forth 🤣. I really love both 😁.
I love both! For myself I need stationary in the front, but traveling in the back!
I like the stationary side much more. I don’t like the disconnect on the traveling side.
I love them both. Can’t decide which I like better❤
It's hard right!?
Love your lessons helpful much and visual.❤
Glad you like them!
Love both but I prefer the first one because my hair is falling to much recently so I would go for the fuller look with side parting
Sounds like that would work perfect for you!
Thankyou Summer. Thankyou so much for all your haircut tutorial. I can start my salon.
You got this!
Both are beautiful, stationary my favourite. Do you have a stationary front and travelling back haircut for fine thin hair?
Beautyyyyy foreeverrrr 😇
❤

That's my preference for my own actually! I like more weight in my front but the back I want more movement!
Beutiful it's very help my parlour thanks for sharing
You're welcome 😊

That is awesome!
So pull everything to the front pull twist and cut line?❤
Can you please do a video on how to do a V cut without layers please
Stationary❤️
I need to try these products!!
I love them!
I love the side by side. It gave me a definite direction for my next cut. I am more likely to go for a stationary guide. My hair is long and fine so I prefer to keep that overall length with less thinning out.
Perfect option for your hair type!

Hi!!
جميل جدا
😍😍😍😍😍
❤️
Looks like it would be a nice haircut but you are really making it long and drawn-out.
Love your lessons helpful much and visual.❤
The information and instruction you put out there Summer is invaluable. 👌💕
They both look amazing! I love the movement in the back from the traveling guide but also love the thickness in the front from the stationary guide!
I like a mix of stationary on front for the weight and thickness but traveling in the back!
Exactly my preference too!
You are the best instructor, Summer! The stationary guide seems much easier for cutting your hair at home. Ty for this one.
Yes, it is much easier on yourself than traveling!
This is awesome, I did the stationary version on myself.
I already had growing out bangs and a side part and this gave great results.
I may never go to a salon again. Thank you for this video

Мне очень нравится и справа и слева. Как понять, именно какую технику применить для тонких волос где виски прозрачные и не имеют густоты?
Очень не хватает титрами перевода😢 на русском языке
Stationary❤️
You are doing great job 👍🏻 love from Pakistan ❤ . Your vdos give us so much guide
Where did you get your manikin stand? Thank you.
🎉🎉 thanks to see u agai
Traveling guide
I like the stationery cut, I have fine hair so it would help. Have grown all layers out now, not sure I like it.😂
Stationary cut would be a great way to add movement without too much of it!
Thank you. These videos are really helpful ❤
I'm so glad!
❤love your videos. Thank you summer!
Thank you for watching!
I like the stationary. I'm hoping to get that today with a place down the street.
🎉yeahhh. Im love it this stile
Woohoo!
They both look great!
Thanks Dannte!
