one of the best guitar lessons on UA-cam.
the kindness
Throwing Copper is one of the best albums of all time. I was just singing this song a few days ago. I saw them a couple years ago with Bush and Our Lady Peace. Awesome show and awesome tutorial. Thanks again!
Me too! Wasn’t it a good show?
pleasure!
@@Sussypx9798yt yeeeeeeees! The big screen with the throwing copper cover moving, was awesome.
@@randomschittz9461 where did you see them at? I saw them in Austin. Honestly, going into it I was more excited to see Bush but after Live’s show, I was so blown away by them!
@@Sussypx9798yt It was in Orlando, I live in Melbourne. That’s funny, I went to see Bush too. I didn’t even know who else was going to be there. I was so excited to see that Live was there.
Great! While pondering about our recent global mankind village, Shit Towne came to my mind quite naturally and, nostalgic me, what else might one want to do, I thought "maybe Ryan did a lesson on that" - and here I am, with an even better find. Kudos again 👍
as rick wilson says, some people need to get their shit together!
Hi Ryan!!!! I’m your biggest fan!!
yeah but as my grandma it's kind of an obligation
@@RyanLendt I do have other grandchildren, so there’s that
First song I ever learned!
nice!
I love Live songs. You do more of them and I am there.
The songs that get stuck in your head Ryan make for some of your best lessons!
:)
more Live lessons please, I love them
:)
Hey Ryan! Thank you for this! It is awesome! Thank You!

I randomly heard Dolphin’s Cry today. Saw Live a couple years ago and damn it was a good show!
did you walk around saying 'good show old chap'?
@@RyanLendt as I walked over with my cane. 😆
Tasty! I don’t know too much about Live, but this album is solid front to back.
……..And the list of songs to learn after the kids go back to school keeps getting longer. Thanks Ryan!
to the binder!
Great songwriting from a great band. I love playing these normal chord songs. That David Bowie - Rebel Rebel is still tricky for me. Thanks Ryan.
sounds like exactly what you should be working on then :)
Request- Live “pain lies on the riverside” and “operation spirit”
nice
Lakini’s Juice please
ryan is a good egg

thanks for the idea tman
Dude is quite funny and knows his shit.
:)
Love this song. Saw them with SPONGE after Throwing Copper came out. Man... you should do a lesson on WHITE DISCUSSION Ryan. My favorite by them. Interesting to see your take on that one. Definitely plugging in to get this one down. Thanks man.
thanks for the idea ricky
@@RyanLendt You're very welcome Ryan. Much thanks to you too bro. 😊
Love you Ryan, thanks for this. Also love the music theory you're adding, it's quite welcome.
May I ask... Whassup with the masking tape on your guitar where the neck meets the body? I've noticed tape on your Tele too. What purpose is it serving?
hey thanks JP. that's not tape that's the paint, which is actually not paint but some kind of coating, coming off.
I loved that. Love that album to and was listing to it just last week. On another note Ryan I’ve noticed you’ve never done any Faith No More stuff. I had Angel Dust on recently and the thought occurred that you’ve never done a FNM tuition. Just putting it out there lol
it's true - they are certainly on my radar for next time i feel like it :)
Thanks Ryan and loving your videos no matter what they are. I’d you feel like it I’d love one on A small victory. Thanks Ryan
The guy with the carrot made some good points 🤔
that's miss poopadoop. i hope she didn't hear you say that.
7/19/12. This is one of these songs that everyone!s heard of, and likes, but most aren’t motivated to find out the name of the band or buy the record. It’s a really good song that ages well, like a fine wine. The Dsus2 is one of my favorite chords, but again, all those open D chords I think are very powerful-Dsus2, Dsus4, DM7, D7, D. So far in my songwriting, I usually play the open A, G, and E chords just as Major chords, but the D chord I may go crazy on, and try all kinds of variations on the open D chord. Are you saying this song played in 3 different keys- D, G, and F, or whatever it was? What is your favorite key to sing in? Do you like to go crazy on a certain chord and variate it, or do you have certain chords that you like to play? Take care, Ryan.
i just look in the mirror to say what I see and then I just see what I say
Hi Ryan, when playing barre chords where do you put your thumb? Behind the middle finger, behind the index, or kinda to the left of the index finger? Ty
wherever gets it done my dude
All over miscreants 🖤❤️🤘
mistercreants
This is like a sesame street guitar tutorial cool…
miss poopdoop, the little known sesame street character.
Doh...I have been playing without tuning down...never thought to tune down...so there ya go...poor listening skills I guess! In hindsight...I could also stop playing Lightening Crashes one fret down (as I do...though that works as it is all bar chords so sounds the same).
:) yep quite a bit easier with the open chords when available
What’s up with my Velvet Underground song bro?
Does this mean youre gonna start giving us Disney campfire songs?
i've been meaning to do a whole new world for a long time actually
Throwing Copper is a masterpiece, but the rest of there albums are excruciatingly boring and dull, why is that,
I agree, but Mental Jewelry is a great album, though.
"The damn at otter creek" is prob my favorite by them
Secret Samadhi is a great album. It’s different than Throwing Copper and the lyrics are kinda silly so it took me a while to get into when it came out but it’s really great melodies riffs and vocals. Give it another try
Thanks
