I have a 6 year old boy and 2 year old twin girls. I feel your pain. I just got a line 6 g10 relay so I can put amp on other side of baby gate. No cords to yank out. So far so good.
I'm got the line 6 relay because the new Yamaha wireless amps have it built in. Battery powered and wireless so I can put out of reach. Saving up my allowance. Maybe sell a guitar. Nah.
That was awesome Ryan! For some reason, I have been playing a lot of Pumkpin songs the last few weeks: Cherub Rock, Zero, Drown, Today. Will have to add 1979 to the list.
and just for opposites sake you gotta add devil went down to georgia, 99 bottles of beer on the wall, tomorrow, and summer of '69 ...? I'm glad you enjoyed that Warren :)
This is the one song I'd choose if I was forced to only listen to 1 song for the rest of my life. It has influenced my "nostalgia" rock writing so much, awesometacular choice sir Ryan!
oh good I take it you watched until the end when I remembered you requested this - I would like to request that you send my trophy ASAP as your name wasn't on THE LIST since we discussed this otherwhere. holy hell i thought i made up that word, but spell check did not nab otherwhere. that is my new word. good morning Kurt :)
You think flat earthers are dumb? Billy thinks the world is a vampire. Still love me some pumpkins. How about some cherub rock? I have a strat copy I installed his pick up set in. Can't wait to try it out. HFH
I know we don't live on the outside of a ball...we live in a satanic matrix were most major truths are taught to us backwards! We live in an illusion! Really, it appears to be like we live inside a ball or under a dome and in the words of Anthony Kiedis and Kurt Cobain; "space was made in a hollywood basement" and "I'm on a plane"!
My man, just found your channel tonight. you've got a real good thing going with showing how to play diff version of chords during the song. also itd be cool if you ended the lessons with a full version of the song, or at least the verse/chorus/bridge whatever to play thru once so we could replay that part after learninng.
10/13/19. Great lesson, great job, Ryan! I used to drive a girl home from work that loved this song... Are you a Howard Stern fan? I miss Eric the Actor so much; he was so funny on the Stern Show. Take care, Ryan.
Nick Croce. Eric the Actor: “You know what to do. You know what to do.”... Nick, on “Gilbert Gottfried’s Amazing Colossal Podcast” back around 9/16/19, Gilbert had on Jackie Martling and Billy West who were telling dirty jokes and old Howard Stern stories. I thought they were hilarious. You can check out that podcast by googling “Gilbert Gottfried’s Amazing Colossal Podcast.” Take care, Nick.
Ryan, its so nice to finally see 1979 from you! This was my first song I’ve learned after 25 years of not making music. BUT tutorials of this song are so widely spreaded across the internet and I am still desperately searching for „soma“ and „33“ ... so... i know.. fingerpicking... but please ;)
Don't even TRY Soma. it's pure studio magic. Acoustic Guitar. E-bow. 14 studio tracks. Soma is literally IMPOSSIBLE to do live and sound like the record. it'has literally 40 guitar tracks. best you can do is a lot of reverb and delay to fake it.
Thank you so much Ryan. 1979 is kind of like the Holy Grail for me. I didn't know it could actually be done so beautifully on acoustic guitar. And Ryan does a great Driver 8 by REM. Best & fastest way to get into new playing ! Ta again from Australia
Aweasome Dude! Thanks for you i learnd few songs by Silverchair You Know You're Right by Nirvana Rooster by Alice In Chains And Marigold by Foo Fighters Thanks :)
Those solo Rivers shows seem like a lot of fun. I've watched a few, it'd be a treat if he did them a bit more frequently in varied locations. But alas, liike an Ed solo show I will most likely never bare witness to one first hand.
you just made me think of that one far side comic where the man is in the doctor's office with cows popping up all over his body and the doctor says "I'm afraid you've got cows"
I remember that strip dude!! I suppose "goosies" sounds a little ominous, like a symptom of mad cow disease lol. But you just made me think of Atom Heart Mother. Weird shit.
I assure you, I'm afraid of heights, always drive the speed limit, and spend a plurality of my free time playing golf. I'd say I'm safe bordering on tragically boring :)
I’ve commented on other videos you’ve created…I just want to say thank you again. I just get your style of teaching and have increased the songs I’m capable of playing by at least 50 in the last 2 years. Keep on Rockin Ryan!

haha love it C man
@@RyanLendt thanks man love the channel 👍
Omg omg omg. I know what I’m doing for the rest of the day - taking care of a baby, then I’ll practice this song.

Nissan570Lsx you do have your hands full! Good job Daddy-o. I’m looking into a Torpedo cab m to keep things silent.

The Howard Stern performances not just of SP but a lot of bands are way better than studio versions to learn from . Great Lesson Ryan!
thanks!
One of my 90s favorite songs. Thanks Ryan. It looks hard to practice. But anyway Ill do my best because I really like that song.
do your best and forget the rest - practicing anything will make you better at everything, even if you don't succeed any time soon :)
Ryan, Everytime I search for a song tutorial you pop up.... Keep up the good work 👍🏻
clearly you have excellent taste dave :)
@@RyanLendt obviously 🤣
Ryan, please do a cover of 1979 and use your acoustic guitar, Telecaster with Gibson burstbucker pickups and SG special from Gibson.
Another awesome tutorial my friend S2

agree. he could just turn on a livestream. so many folks would watch.
