this has actually really helped me, i am really struggling with my identity as an autistic person atm and this just helped remind me that it can get better and there are other neurodivergent people out there who are so accepting. thank you
This video is sooo sweet! That event looks amazing and something I’d love to go to, with all the colour, love and awareness! I really wanna get that book!!!
Zara i feel so similar with your interests as i am a writer since 14 years. ......I am so glad i found you. You are just so similar and perfect for each of us trying to find themselves and learning self confidence. Love u. From India.
"In full whack" :) I love that hehe. I also, very much love autumn, it's one of the many reasons I live in New England, gorgeous fall weather much like what you sometimes show on here. Also, I ADORE the cute little happy dance wiggle as you were getting ready lol I do the same thing! The jumper thing had me laughing because girl I tell ya what I am the same way with that also, I simply cannot handle turtlenecks, clothing around my neck in general that tightly. Nope! :P SO , I 100% feel ya there!! I'd have taken it off quicker than you even I think lol :) Me in the evening is also similar "I want a book, and my bed." Sending you lots of love , thanks for sharing this lovely experience with us
Zara, I continue to be amazed by how you keep being such a brilliant, positive, delightful, hopeful person, with everything you deal with. What I'm suffering with is much less significant, and I have massive difficulties with trying to be positive in any way. Your light is inspiring to so many!
When she said getting through twilight I almost died bc I’m reading that rn too. Also as someone with pretty bad tics I really love that I can come on your channel and feel normal.
ellies talk is so relatable tbh I also always take on way too many projects and feel like shit because I'm working way too much and still feel like I'm not putting in enough time lol
but you are. you are always enough and you're doing so many amazing things no matter if your head categorises them as "productive" or "successful" enough :)
you are one of my comfort creators ❤️💕 your content always makes me feel safe and helps me learn about disabilities in a really useful and easy to understand way. thank you so much for doing what you do!!
This event would have been very nice to attend to for me. At the moment, I'm getting diagnosed with autism, adhd and bipolair disorder(and am already diagnosed with dyslexia), and in about 10 months, I can get my tourettes diagnosed. Meeting a lot of people who know what it is like to live as a neuro divergent person would have been so nice. I am happy to see you enjoyed yourself! Keep making the video's!❤
I just wanted to say I also have adhd, bipolar disorder and strong autistic traits (didn't get the diagnosis, but it affects my life very much). It's rare to meet people who both have neurodivergent troubles AND a mood disorder. When I compare myself to bipolar people I feel different, because they have periods when they DO function. And if I compare myself with neurodivergent people many have jobs or are more functional than me. I'm unable to work but lately I haven't been depressed in several weeks, which is very rare for me. Try to be grateful for every day that I'm not depressed. I always have several mood swings per week, sometimes per day. Do you also notice unstable mood, not knowing which is the adhd and which is the bipolar disorder? And how do you handle planning your day? My autistic side wants everything closely planned, but I know my adhd-brain won't be able to follow through with it. I've started writing ta-da-lists instead of to-do-lists. It's where I write everything I HAVE done, so that I can feel a sense of accomplishment. And rather than being a slave under the rigid plan I now can do what I want and still feel that I do useful things, even if it's not always the things I would've preferred I did. It takes the pressure off and help to build the self esteem, at least for me.
Hey Zara! Thank you so much for bringing awareness for your conditions and making us smile. You are so awesome and help me get through hectic days. Thank you so much.
Hi zara i have autism and adhd and it makes my heart so warm to watch this bc people understand eachother and the sticker is such a great idea love you hugs from south africa love liv:)
I have truly enjoyed this video. I have watched how you manage give a little cut to your hair which that's something that I have struggled alot and going to the barbershop is the only choice that I have. I have also enjoyed your walks around a beautiful and peaceful feeling with your dog (could you say hi to your dog? First time I see your dog on a video) and I felt like I was joining you there to enjoy the nature. Also, the outfit you have started to wear with a black skirt, I said that was nice until you changed it and I said "ok" 😊 I have to say you looked better with that outfit than the skirt and ending up with you having some things and you saying you want a book in your bed at the end, be sure that's one of your favorite books so you can put it under the pillow 😊 🤗♥️
Totally agree with you! Turtle necks are super cute on other people but I feel suffocated when I wear one 😭 I hope you had fun Zarah absolutely loved the video
As a neurodivergent person I love turtle necks because I feel safe and grounded and ‘hugged’ in them. So funny how we are so different even as autistics ❤
I think you are very pretty 😍 honestly . I know you’re suffering from Tourette . But you don’t let that get you down . You’re a fighter 👍 you’re always positive even you have this disability. You spread happiness to the people around you . The world need people like you . Don’t forget that you are important . Thanks for sharing your life on UA-cam . You have a new subscriber 👍
I completely agree on the turtlenecks! I just couldn't wear them as a child, now I'm starting to get more used to them but the first few hours of wearing them still feel horrible haha
i have a really comfortable shirt with a turtleneck collar (its not ur average turtleneck, it's really thin and its ruffly around the edges) and it feels like a blanket
Ah yay I have the exact same clicky fidget in the exact same colours😂 Dude I love autumn!! I'm in Exeter for uni and it looks so pretty at the moment with all the leaves and yayyyyy. Feel you with the turtlenecks, they are absolute hell. It's a massive t-shirt and joggers for me 😂
I completely understand how you feel wearing turtlenecks. I love turtlenecks and love how cute they look but my neurodivergent self just cannot stand how they feel. I have the same problem with shirts that are low cut or v cut shirts my body feels like there's something missing when I wear them lol.
Love the channel I have multiple sclerosis it effects my gait and balance . So basically I learned how to fall . I do use a wheelchair for long distance so you using yours is outstanding.
Cutting your hair whilst being stressed out by the turtleneck was a brave choice xD Big Hugs / no touch badges would be super useful in everday life as well
Skip the bottom part if you don’t wanna read an essay but:Zara thank you, you’ve been a huge inspiration to me. Writing a book about two individuals (one is demigirl and the other is non-binary) who are both neurodivergent but both are facing the problem of having no friends.
Hi Zara! If you see this I was just wondering, my friend has recently been diagnosed with FND so I was wondering if you have any advice or anything to share because she would really appreciate it. That’s all!
it feels like an urge (kind of like when you really need to sneeze or when you try to not scratch an urge but can't help it) and then the actual movement or sound just feels like when you'd normally do it!
As a neurodivergent person, I don’t mind turtlenecks but I have Hyperhidrosis which is an excessive sweating disorder so I must wear a turtleneck when it’s cold for the sake of my asthma as well.
I have Tourette's. We don't tic in our sleep, but occasionally I am trying to get to sleep and then my body feels the need to tic so I end up doing that which fully wakes me up and then I have to settle again. It never ends on nights like this! 😭
I hope it is ok to ask but what happened or what did you do to make your tics a lot less? I watched some older videos and your tics seemed so much worse then.
no, i like it and i want to have it up in my room ❤ it's colourful, and it's inclusive of a comunity i'm a part of, so i ask you please respect that. my channel is a safe space
im autisitic with adhd and fnd in fact i got a appointment tommorow in bristol for my fnd so got to travel there for about 3 hours there and then 3 hours back also i got something similar to pots but its not pots its just inappropiate tachycardia and was diagnosed with tourettes that come and go

I completely agree on the turtlenecks! I just couldn't wear them as a child, now I'm starting to get more used to them but the first few hours of wearing them still feel horrible haha
if i can zone it out i can sometimes go half a day, but as soon as i register that it's annoying me i'm doomed😂
i have a really comfortable shirt with a turtleneck collar (its not ur average turtleneck, it's really thin and its ruffly around the edges) and it feels like a blanket
This is awesome! You're helping so many people ❤

Hi Zara! If you see this I was just wondering, my friend has recently been diagnosed with FND so I was wondering if you have any advice or anything to share because she would really appreciate it. That’s all!
I love you videos so much
I hope this isn’t rude to ask but when you tic what does it feel like if that makes sense
it feels like an urge (kind of like when you really need to sneeze or when you try to not scratch an urge but can't help it) and then the actual movement or sound just feels like when you'd normally do it!
@Zara_Beth it's also allot like having hiccups

hey girl, I have a question for you how do you sleep with the tics
I have Tourette's. We don't tic in our sleep, but occasionally I am trying to get to sleep and then my body feels the need to tic so I end up doing that which fully wakes me up and then I have to settle again. It never ends on nights like this! 😭
Snoods are a great way ti get around turtle necks without the impracticality of scarf ends waving about.
❤
Zara your so cool 😊
I was going to go to the launch but unfortunately i am in a flare right now so I couldnt
sending positive vibes and i hope your flare eases up soon!!
A flare is when my normal symptoms are amplified.@@Kinger.the.King.

it was a book launch!

Turtlenecks should be outlawed, that, and sesame seeds.
first time here so let's just see what's going on with Zara..... oh... wow.
