I’ve been playing long time 52… so I’d like to know why you think someone smart wins at poker? Fools think intelligence = you win😊

On the tables he seems to be a quiet shy guy, funny to see that he is so expressive. Great conversation guys!

Ponakovs might just be the jolliest guy in high stakes. He's like an anti-Hellmuth. A Heavenmuth if you will.

At 1:37:10, Aleksejs speaks about why he chose to check back the 7s 2h and explains that he feels a lot of the hands that would fold to a bet wouldn't have much equity anyway. I plugged this hand as I was interested and if, for example, we b33 the flop with the 72o, we fold out a ridiculous amount of hands that have reasonable equity (25%> vs us) like K7o > KTo, Q7o > QJo + a bunch of suited broadway. I understand what he says afterwards when he talks about the turn but in my head this feels like a really nice flop c--bet and the solver does also mix the 7s combos. Just wondered if any extra thoughts on this?

I hear you Harry, but I think he means relative to betting a garbage hand, this one accomplishes relatively little. Most of the hands we can fold at this stage are very likely to be hands we'll be able to fold on a delay or double delay line should the 72 not improve
