1:12:56 CO open shoves a big portion of range despite BB has 50BB stack - is this correct? This is very counter-intuitive
yeah it seems crazy jamming into a 50bb stack, but given the number of short stacks there is a large risk premium on the bb, so we get to apply a ton of pressure. i wouldnt be surprised to see the bb calling range be KK+
FANTASTIC
Great conversation gents, well done!
Arrogance isn’t associated with Daniel Cates is it lol😅
For the stalling a group of regs could start wearing a badge and stop stalling to spread the word and give the right example. When a group does something it's way more powerful than any other (non-violent) method that doesn't involve changing the rules.
Stevey didnt read that book, he has a tell
42:22 wow
1:26:02 jus cb your range and take it from there
and if you decide to check it's an deasy check fold without the spade
My suggestion would be that you guys shouldn’t invest in running sims and creating libraries of MTT sims. I think there is plenty out there and you are entering a crowded market. You don’t really have any unique selling point when it comes to the sim library. The way you differentiate is via either investing in alternate methodology for MTT sims ( hint: FGS) or focus solely on some form of subscribing based coaching model.
@samuraijack1371 Thanks for the feedback. Our solutions do use FGS, all settings are done by Nick, Daniel and Orpen. The USPs of our ICM trainer are that we have the biggest final table library, 13,000 solutions. GTOwiz has 800. This means it works like a lookup tool and you don’t need to run FT sims anymore. Also our trainer is the only trainer on the market that let’s you play full table mode, the new and better way to train preflop poker. Our subscription based coaching model will be released early next week, it will have similar content as this webinar.
I agree a lot. This is more of a thing if your sims are not gonna be better/more accurate or easier to access than GTOW, which is definitely not the case from what I've seen
GTO LAB is different. If you can't see the value of what they are creating, then keep working with WIZ like everyone else.
i fkin love rumukulus i think, ty guys <3
Thanks 🙏
I think you're mistaking Mystery Hand, which means that the viewers don't know one hand until it is over, with Linus not looking at his hand. Unless you know better. Maybe check with him.
It was a joke I think 😅
Both these guys played the same event. I think they know that mystery hand is a mystery to viewers not to the one playing it😂😂. Though wouldn’t that be fun? If you play mystery hand unseen and win you get a bounty
That AA fold is more an indictment on Roman's view on Jaffee. He's basically saying you underbluff spots/ lack creativity to find these lines as bluffs. There's no other reason to make such a deviation from what he knows is a theoretical sigh call.
I think if anyone in this field that underbluffs it’s defo not JJ
22:09 you guys over looked the most interesting part of this spot. QQ is indifferent to jamming as well!!! I think you guys can make a whole theory video on this concept. Jaffe’s size is neither here nor there. You may say that jamming and small donk and x is same EV but that’s a very narrow way of looking at it. On river there are very clear and specific tendencies and range shape that lead clear exploits. However it’s so dependent on the opponent. Romans fold is good. I think he made a very clear exploitative fold but it would be interesting as to what he thought Jaffe’/s mistake was. In my head I’m thinking, if Jaffe has a trip he is either going small or huge.if he has a bluff he less likely to go for a small bet there. So I would imagine 50% is bluff weighted
Its not good.
Can you guys at some point talk about bankroll management, variance, mind set and meta
We will cover these type of soft skills in our coaching subscription. We will release it early next week.
47:00 Saying he’s very spiritual gave it away lol
Fox News isn't something a normal personal should have to apologize for criticizing if it's standards are low AF....I'm ex military and it does very few favors that aren't ultimately self seeking....the problem is that CNN has stooped from having enough standards that can't easily been torn apart for a similar thing....
Hey Jonathan, Really loving the podcast. Just a little bit of feedback it would be great if you could read out the hand analysis and often go over the board texture at each street. Often I am listening to these in the car or on a run. Thanks mate.
Thanks Samuel. That sounds reasonable, I will try to remember and do that

Thanks Salah, very much appreciate the encouragement :) Perhaps I can do a bit more strategy...
Great interview , thank you
Thanks 🙏
The way he spoke about the precision vs accuracy and the node tree at each decision has changed my whole thought process of doing the GTO Wizard trainer 🤯
Why he act so serious and intimidating when play poker not fun for recreational players bad for growing game be friendly and fun!
Cos he's not playing at ur 1/1 home game 😂😂
Love the Vervaeke shout out. As both an MTT grinder and someone who watched all the lectures as they came out in 2019 (and countless other hours of Vervaeke) quite heartening to hear ya'll discuss. At the time felt I was on a bit of an island as I tried getting the other poker guys in my circle to watch (but it is a big ask). And it did also make me very seriously question what meaning there actually is to be found in the poker grind, something for which 5 years on I still don't have a great answer. I'm curious how others square that circle.
Awesome! Ya, it really is a big ask....Shoot me a PM in the GTO LAB discord, I'd love to chat about it
@@JonathanJaffeGLHF Cool for sure. Added you on Discord. (name should either show as Pete or "brbz") And GL the rest of this Triton stop!
I tried to DM Ike this question on Twitter, but apparently you have to have a premium subscription in order to DM people. So, hoping Ike might see this somehow: I've heard Ike say on a couple of occasions, when discussing the state of current poker solvers, that (a) we know that for heads up NLHL, counterfactual regret minimization (CRM) trends towards an equilibrium, but (b) for multiplayer NLHL, we don't actually know whether the solutions that the solvers are outputting are correct. I'm curious what exactly he means by this? Is the problem that we can't prove that CRM trends towards an equilibrium for multiplayer NLHL? Or is it rather it doesn't make sense to use CRM for multiplayer NLHL? (and if so, why?) On a different podcast, I think I also heard Ike say that it doesn't even make sense to talk about equilibrium strategies in the context of multiplayer NLHL, but I'm curious why he thinks this too. I'm not much of an expert on game theory, but as far as I'm aware, it has been proven that there are multiplayer games for which equilibrium strategies can be devised namely using CRM. So, what makes him think that it doesn't make sense for multiplayer NLHL? Anyway, I'm genuinely curious about these questions (and in no way suggesting that Ike is wrong -- he may very well be right). I just really would like to know if someone could point me to some sources for these claims as I'd very much like to read them. Apologies for any inconvenience.
indeed more about climbing next pod plz. this was great
Thanks 🙏
Not to give the editors too much work, but it would be cool if you could put links in the description of the lectures/author's/books you talk about. I could just be being lazy though😅
