- Is Wookies In The Woods, Best VW Event in the US? Well based on how great the event is, anyone can make a case for that. This event is a Golf R and R32 event at The Tail Of The Dragon. A group of modified and stock VR6 r32 and TSI Golf R get together to run one of the greatest drives in the USA, The Tail Of The Dragon.

Might be the best driving event, but busses by the bridge is by far the best in the US

i have a MK6 Golf R.. had it for 5 months now... love it done some much and so much more to do... but i am saving for a R36 Passat now for when the Golf Engine Dies it will then be Swap time :D ..
That's a great area for a drive. I did that twice on a motorcycle and would love to go back. I enjoyed the video and like you, flying a drone would be a great addition for videos.

This so makes me wish I had an Golf R not the normal Golf. I still think I might take the drive to Tail of the Dragon since it is only a couple of hours from home.

+HumbleMechanic Yeah I know. The scuttlebutt was that the Armenian Catholic church wanted to drive the value of the property down so they could buy it on the cheap and create an Armenian museum. Now the fun part for me - I knew parties on BOTH sides of the issue very well.

I have a question that is not related to the video. On the 2001 Golf VR6, is the 6 pin connector the upstream (closest to motor) O2 sensor?

I noticed you mentioned the fluid damper that you wished you'd won. I have a mildly modified mk7 golf r and was thinking of making this one of my next mods. Do you think this is worth the $3-400 and could you possibly elaborate? Thanks for all the great video.
Also what does it take to install one? I heard you need a VW tool. Is it a tough area to get to? Thanks!

I had a vr6 question ? Do the 12v and the 24v have different bellhousing? And is it possible to put a 24v vr6 six speed on a a 12v?
I think the bell housing pattern is the same. But doing a 5sp-6sp swap is not as simple as transmission. You have axles, mounts, cables, and more
should be for any vw

+nickolastiguan nope not at all. Everyone was welcome. I had my wife's Tiggy. The only part that was R and R32 only was the sound off.
I think as long as you are not a tool it's all good. Lol.
+nickolastiguan I've gone several times in my 2.5L Golf. I picked up a UniBrace XB through a group buy on Vortex & I had 2-3 Wookies drilling holes in my car to help install it. It was a very chill scene. Plus I learned how slow I am compared to some really sorted R32s.

you forgot to mention the lack of the douchebaggery found at events like H2O, SOWO, etc. Wookies in The Woods is for the more mature group of VAG owners in my opinion.
