Jessie and Allison are scarily accurate and hyper-realistic to watch for someone who has been a waitress for 15 years. The rest are amazing but very theatrical. With Jessie and Allison I completely forget that I’m watching a musical and just sob uncontrollably.
Something about Jordan Sparks really captivated me. That "finally"
Allison Luff remains my favourite because I think she adds in a more angry and frustrated trait of the character that makes the audience wonder how much she dislikes the situation Jenna has put herself in. She's also an amazing vocalist.
Shoshanna's acting and the vocal technique she has with showing the emotions of the song was incredible. So I give it to her on this.
Jordin is a vocal powerhouse, i wish she did more with it
Jesse is the original so bringing so much emotion and setting the bar, she will always be a favorite.

I personally like all of the actresses who play Jenna but Jessie is my all time favorite. I get chills every time I listen to her sing it, and she brings so much emotion to her performance.
Imagine how honored one must feel to be Sara, have written the song with so many amazing singers singing it.
Soshana is a beast! of interpretation and vocal hability!. She is a complete BROADWAY star. Allison is also UNIQUE, she is more pure and a little bit less drama. Both are my favourite!

I'll admit, I don't 100% understand what that means, but how dare Jordan be ever listed anywhere as a "replacement" and I'm not even a Jordan Sparks fan. All I know is she was on American Idol and then literally today I learned she was in this. Second best only to Sara

For me it will always be Sara B. Her voice has a quality just melts me inside. I was lucky enough to see her perform live in Waitress at the Adelphi in London just before the covid lockdown in March 2020. Fantastic!

Sara (everything she does is amazing)
Lucie Jones (she gives me chills)
Shoshanna (I was apprehensive at first, but seeing her on stage, seeing and feeling that emotion and hearing the echo at the end... wow)
Allison (she belted with all her heart and soul)

Lucie is my favourite Jenna, all of the ladies had the voices but for me Lucie captured more of the raw emotion of that moment. She makes you truly believe that she IS Jenna. 👏👏👏👏

Absolutely! I have to say...while there are so many terrific performances...Lucie Jones’ version of “She Used to be Mine” is my personal favorite. She doesn’t over-act or over-sing it...but delivers a pristine rendition with just the right amount of passion, conviction and regret. I also love her ending...a beautiful final note tailing off perfectly! I liked several others as well...most notably Alison Luff...and Jessie Mueller’s soundtrack version is terrific. 👍🎶

Jesse gets points for doing that while being sick and for using her body the most (although she was the only one in costume on stage other than lucie jones)
Sara gets points for having lungs of steel on her phrasing and of course writing it (lol)
Shoshana gets points for making her own changes to the song and for giving more emotion in her voice than any of the others,
Jordin gets points bc her ease of belting is unmatched and her RUNS!
Christine Dwyer gets points because I hadn't heard of her and I liked what she did on the first "mine"
Lucie gets points for that incredible straight tone to that huge vibrato at the very end

I’ve seen this show DOZENS of times, so for this.....I closed my eyes before going back to see who sang each one....just to give it a truly fair assessment....
1. Alison
2. Shoshanna
3. Katherine
That’s after blindly just listening and FEELING the song.
All of these ladies are BEYOND exquisite in their executions of Jenna.
But MY top 3 (totally personal opinion) are above. For me, Alison not only hits the style of the song so beautifully in her tone and pitch, but she slays it in the feel. All of the various stylings are certainly gorgeous and goose-bump worthy....
But my absolute top pick has to be Alison. She not only makes it her own, but does so in such a fresh and RAW way. No other Jenna has made me feel that the way she has - even the other QUEENS who have dominated this role.

Bailey West The emotion Allison brings makes her performance so special. It’s the same reason I love Christine’s performance.
Shoshana takes it for me. Personally didn’t feel much from Alison, I didn’t feel much dynamics but she has great belts. Just love the variety shoshana showed while still being massively emotive
I might be the only one, but Olivia Moore (West End, understudy) is insane as Jenna. I also loved her Veronica and McNamara in Heather's.
Honestly loved Olivia in Heathers but her Dawn is insane, i have seen videos of Olivia as Jenna and she truly is breath taking

No one and i mean no one can beat jessie meuller. That role was just her.
This is one of those roles in which I think every actress to play it has been amazing in it, definitely good casting, I do have my favorites but still these ladies are something else

I almost think that people can sing this song 'too' prettily on this song, I think this song deserves a lot of grit and emotion like what Jessie does
I got to see Lucie Jones live on West End and she was amazing, but they all are.. Jenna is a complex character that needs amazingly talented actresses to come to life.. SUTBM is a universal Hymn and we all can identify with it.. thanks for sharing this video.

All of these women have amazing pipes. Sometimes there is too much bias to OBC being the most important and all, but Jesse's performance is the one that just slays me. I think it resonates the most pain and regret, not just singing at the top of your lungs.
