Yeah i always go overboard for the holidays. I invite the neighbors over in case they are hungry but nobody ever shows up. Not going to do the Bob Cratchit theme for Christmas again though. Goose is ok but pretty damn expensive.
Merry Christmas, and Happy Birthday! I am half way through menu3 RCIR, It will be A few days, before I get my part 3, and 4 up. So far so good. Good looking ration. A lot of our components are similar. I agree on nougat bar. That is the only item in French rations, I am not that fond of. Lasagna looked excellent. So did the Tuna. All components looked good. Awesome idea, on mixing sweet crackers with the pudding. I am glad you enjoyed Steve. I will have my part 2, and 3 up as soon as time allows. Peace, John, stay warm! Oh forgot, Congrats on 5 years. I love these RCIRs. Food for adults, not kids. Peanut butter and jelly are such a cheap way to pump up calories in a military ration. Just needs some powdered wine drink mix to make it complete.😄

In England they have the same brand of jam in McDonald's
Don't forget that such a ration includes a baquette, 200ml of red wine and a packet of cigarettes. At least that was the case 40 years ago when I was in the army...
I'm curious how common is it for US customs too confiscate items from the MRE. I had them take the main entree from a french MRE because they said it contained pork.
I don't know if by combining chocolate and coffee, we can benefit from both
It looks like Israeli couscous
