OP did the right thing. Mom started this whole mess by inviting people to live in a house that was not hers and giving permission regarding things that, again, was not her place to give. Okay, wait a minute. Its a 3 bedroom house. He has claimed the master as his. One bedroom is for his office. The third for a guest room. Where are his parents sleeping? In the basement?? Story is so fake.
OP did the right thing. Mom started this whole mess by inviting people to stay in a house, that wasn't hers and giving permission regarding displacing OP in a house where she lives for free. She was the entitled antagonist who forgot her place and ruined everything. It seems that OP's Dad just goes with the flow and needs to grow a spine and deal with his wife. OP wants them to stay but they really need to wake up, appreciate what OP is providing for them, because if they don't well maybe they can join forces with Lisa and Tom and see how that pans out. ...Oh, and OP's parents need to start paying a few bills in the house. That should keep them grounded.
As soon as they said “we should take the master bedroom,” I would’ve told them they have 24 hours to get out. Neither they nor the parents are welcome in MY home anymore. Then I would’ve called the police to have them leave.
What a bunch of moochers. Tom and Lisa were the worst, trying to take over Alex's room. He generously lets them stay for free and they treat him like garbage. The eviction notices were genius to get rid of them.
In the end he still gave them the chance to stay in the guest room and they decided that they would rather be kicked out just because they can't steal his room.😂 I know these stories aren't meant to be true, but there are people that obsessed with getting one over on others. To those types standing up for yourself is always an act of cruelty. You can't negotiate with people that unreasonable.
I wish to point out a little problem with the basic room assignments! Master of the three bedroom two bath house staying in the master bedroom with second bedroom as his office invited parents to live with him with them taking third bedroom! Then pregnant sister and husband move in and would have said if staying on couch bed so there must be a bed in the office that guests can use temporarily! Problem is when says not giving up master and they can return to regular bedroom which was also his office where he was waiting for them to move out of master creating what i would call a problem still it sounds like 3 bed house is very full!
Not only is the story 100% fake, but most of the comments are botted as well. How do I know? They're all saying the same thing about how the Dad was way out of line. They're doing this because of the title saying his Dad kicked him out. However, if you listen to the actual story, the Dad doesn't do jack shit. It's the other three that try to kick him out.
I'd tell your mother that they can all pack up and leave .Since the place is yours and you pay all the bills . I'd stop buying groceries for the family. I'd call a locksmith and have the locks changed and not give them a key
Teachers who stick it out until legit retirement usually get solid pensions, but early retirement in your 50s? That’s for the super lucky or wealthy few
The father's decision to favor one child over the other seems unfair and could create long-term emotional impacts. It would be interesting to understand more about why this happened and whether the situation was resolved. Do you think the dad eventually realized the harm caused by his actions?
I'd have given Tom and Lisa a month to find their own place and made sure the parents paid a portion of groceries and utilities at least. No free rides.
Haha, fair enough! 😅 Sometimes you just want that clean-cut ending, right? But family situations are rarely that simple. Wouldn't it be nice if it were, though?
Not sure if i could identify clear narcissist in the family, but the OP was clearly the scapegoat growing up. Every family has predetermined roles like this unfortunately irregardless if a narcassist exist among them. Common sense says they should be remorseful but an established family dynamic that is now turning on its head because the scapegoat is setting boundaries predicts common human behavioural patterns or reactions of anger. In a sense its undetectable, but if you are self aware to any extent of your own entitlement do yourself and everyone else a favor and support and comply with a new healthier family dynamic based of mutual respect.
So they could stay in a guest room but decided to walk away 🗿 If they would really have nowhere to go they would agree on any condition just to have a roof over their heads and food on their table 🗿🗿🗿 But chose to leave, because they couldn't take a master bedroom
Honestly, OP was a better person than I would have been in this scenario. Not only paying the mortgage on the place, but also paying for all the utilities and continuing to keep the food stocked, but these jaded parents have the brass to not only agree to house this sibling/spouse duo before discussing with OP, followed by trying to force the breadwinner to give up their bedroom because "FAMILY". To hell with that, I would have said, "You want these pathetic leeches here, then they can take over the bills." Then proceed to remove my name from the mortgage and any documents, discontinue all utility payments and just leave. Let them enjoy the house for the single month before everything comes crashing down around them. And when they contact about "We're family, you have to help us." A simple "I'm sorry, but I'm a human, I don't have any bloodsucking parasites I would ever call kin." Then either block them, or if really pettiness is needed, change the phone number.
Family or not, no one should feel obligated to support freeloaders. If they’re not paying the bills, they have no right to make demands. OP was way too nice.

Stop buying food for the house and file eviction.
If you take out the line of "I pay the bills" this would be a 1min story lol
What a bunch of moochers. Tom and Lisa were the worst, trying to take over Alex's room. He generously lets them stay for free and they treat him like garbage. The eviction notices were genius to get rid of them.
yeah I'm calling the damn police to get them kick out. Parents included.
This is not the way evictions work in the US. people need to have at least one month's notice. The details on this seem very off,
Yeah 24 hrs does seem very short, perhaps the 1 month is for paying tenants? Due to them being a guest it might be a 24 hour notice.
At this point I wouldn't even give these selfish bastards the guess room. You probably love drama.
the story's fake lmao
Should have told them right away who pays the bills, it's your house, your rules
One of the few stories where OP wasn’t a total doormat 🎉
Time to evict.
Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
OP forgot to mention how he has a mortgage on the way and he needs more space. Lisa paid for everything with babies.
If I had a dollar for every time OP said Mortgage…I’d have enough to pay the Mortgage.
In the end he still gave them the chance to stay in the guest room and they decided that they would rather be kicked out just because they can't steal his room.😂
I know these stories aren't meant to be true, but there are people that obsessed with getting one over on others. To those types standing up for yourself is always an act of cruelty. You can't negotiate with people that unreasonable.
Her voice is lovely
I wish to point out a little problem with the basic room assignments! Master of the three bedroom two bath house staying in the master bedroom with second bedroom as his office invited parents to live with him with them taking third bedroom! Then pregnant sister and husband move in and would have said if staying on couch bed so there must be a bed in the office that guests can use temporarily! Problem is when says not giving up master and they can return to regular bedroom which was also his office where he was waiting for them to move out of master creating what i would call a problem still it sounds like 3 bed house is very full!
what lake park is in the background??
Not only is the story 100% fake, but most of the comments are botted as well. How do I know? They're all saying the same thing about how the Dad was way out of line.
They're doing this because of the title saying his Dad kicked him out. However, if you listen to the actual story, the Dad doesn't do jack shit. It's the other three that try to kick him out.
i would have taken their plates away
I'd tell your mother that they can all pack up and leave .Since the place is yours and you pay all the bills . I'd stop buying groceries for the family. I'd call a locksmith and have the locks changed and not give them a key
Don't buy any more groceries until they leave.
“Alex is my name” no person who is venting online is dropping their government name like that bffr
It’s all his mother’s fault. Over stepping boundaries.
That's why you don't bite the hand that feeds you
I get what you’re saying, but does that mean you’re supposed to stay silent no matter what? Respect should go both ways.
Mom is the villain.
THEIR MOTHER SHOULD HAVE GIFTED THEM SOME CONDOMS
Bro respect the chosen one
LISA. &. TOM TAKE OVER YOUR HOUSE 🏠. HAS ALWAYS !! ALWAYS !! BEEN THE PLOT FOR A VERY ! VERY ! LONG TIME
Very few of us retire in our early fifties, unless we are independently wealthy. Teachers who work until legit retirement get decent pensions.
Teachers who stick it out until legit retirement usually get solid pensions, but early retirement in your 50s? That’s for the super lucky or wealthy few
Decent story but too repetitive every fourth line was l pay the mortgage ,food etc
True
feels like I've already seen this story before but different...
"Not that family charge rent right?" Um yes they do OP and they would throw you out if you didn't pay it xD
but the big question that came to mind is who pays for everything?😂
The father's decision to favor one child over the other seems unfair and could create long-term emotional impacts. It would be interesting to understand more about why this happened and whether the situation was resolved. Do you think the dad eventually realized the harm caused by his actions?
I'm a bit confused. Who paid for the house/mortgage and all the food? It was not really clear...
3 bedrooms….OP in master, #2 office and #3 guestroom. Where do parents sleep?
Take their plates and toss the food into the trash!
Man if he don’t evict everyone.
14:28 Nah. Because this is where the story should’ve ended with “So I called the police to have them removed and trespassed.” 🤷♂️🤷♂️
I'd have given Tom and Lisa a month to find their own place and made sure the parents paid a portion of groceries and utilities at least. No free rides.
There should have been no you stay in the spare room. It should have been the couple and the mom thrown out of the house that day. End of story
Haha, fair enough! 😅 Sometimes you just want that clean-cut ending, right? But family situations are rarely that simple. Wouldn't it be nice if it were, though?
Desde Sincelejo colombia gracias 👍👍👍👍
Not sure if i could identify clear narcissist in the family, but the OP was clearly the scapegoat growing up. Every family has predetermined roles like this unfortunately irregardless if a narcassist exist among them. Common sense says they should be remorseful but an established family dynamic that is now turning on its head because the scapegoat is setting boundaries predicts common human behavioural patterns or reactions of anger. In a sense its undetectable, but if you are self aware to any extent of your own entitlement do yourself and everyone else a favor and support and comply with a new healthier family dynamic based of mutual respect.
So they could stay in a guest room but decided to walk away 🗿 If they would really have nowhere to go they would agree on any condition just to have a roof over their heads and food on their table 🗿🗿🗿
But chose to leave, because they couldn't take a master bedroom
This story must not have taken place in the US. It takes more than printing out forms on line to evict someone.
How is it a 3 bedroom home u occupy the master the second bedroom ur work station and the 3rd a guest room so where ur parents sleep
I would have changed my will
Honestly, OP was a better person than I would have been in this scenario.
