That mother is disgusting. I don't think she even loved her late husband. And he probably knew what kind of 304 she was to leave everything to his son to take care of it.
Fr, maybe some cussing but that’s just me because Steve made my blood boil, he has NO right to change the house if OP didn’t allow it but he STILL DID IT!! OPs father was definitely a good man and he is definitely proud of OP. May his father rest in peace
That's a great point! Looking back, stepping in earlier might have saved a lot of heartache and damage to the home. Do you think there’s ever a way to handle these situations without creating such deep family fractures? Would love to hear your thoughts!
@@RedditFamilyTales There was always going to be fractures with the mom moving on so quickly, the fact that he owned the house it should have been made clear right away that no changes were to be made and if they didn't like it. they all move out.
In all these Reddit posts, those church sponsored grief support groups always seem to have a predator watching for a vulnerable mark. That’s my take at least.
In my own life anyone met at a church group later turns out to be a predator. But when you think of how the Baptist church girl scandal is estimated to have more victims than the catholic boy scandal, it is really unsurprising
great video, really enjoyed the storytelling! but honestly, i feel like the mom should have considered her child's feelings more. it’s tough being put aside for a stepdad and his kids. i get blending families can be hard, but when it comes to kids, shouldn't the biological parent prioritize their needs first? just my two cents!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and for enjoying the video! Your perspective really adds to the conversation, and I appreciate you sharing it.
Fake af and not even sympathetic since the OP clearly didn't care that much about his father's legacy and stuff. If they did, they would've tossed them out the second they started doing renovations without permission instead of just letting them do more, and wouldve pressed charges against the dude who sold all his dad's tools.
Well said! Respect truly is a two-way street, and this story is a perfect example of what happens when boundaries and respect are ignored. It's tough when family dynamics make these situations even more emotional. Do you think the protagonist handled it the right way, or is there another approach they could've taken? We'd love to hear your perspective!
@@RedditFamilyTales I think OP did what he had to do. He was treated with disrespect. The house was OP'S. NOT her mom and new hubby. They had no right to make any changes without OP'S approval. When it came to that approval NO is a complete sentence Don't like the house then move. If I pulled a stunt like that in a rented house I would be evicted. So would you. So would literally anyone else. Why should OP not evict them.
Some if yall are really push overs. I understand you don't want to cause trouble of anything but he literally destroyed the whole house WITH YOUR MOTHER, and you just allowed it. 😢
She might be your mother, but your dad knew what kind of a person his wife really is.

304?
@@ВладиславПопов-р3в its a word essentially meaning promiscuous woman.

Nah, those things they did to OP's house is messed up.
Real
i would have sue them
The mom is one of those people that change their whole personality based on their partner - like they have to be twins and think and say the same
Why didn’t he stop them ripping the house to pieces from the start?
That's how spineless doormat roll. Every damn story the op is a doormat.
I would sue them for property damage
OP should have evicted them after the first 'improvements'. damn sentimental fool. he'll have to sink more money to restore his mom's idiocy
Steve would be catching hands for trying to throw out my Dad’s stuff.

Every change that was done, with him owning the house should have been stopped right away.

"The topic of honoring your parents was discussed by mom's pastor" he is. He's honoring his father's legacy. Too bad nobody else can see that
I would have charged them to fix all the unapproved renovations!

I would’ve totally done more legal actions such as suing.

Were you there?
😭your thinking as if this was a stranger they were tossing away, if you had a good mom, then youd know how hard that wouldve been.
I didn’t here the op say you were there
Nothing about that classic Mustang.
Well ya'll it's like this. Show respect, get respect. Show disrespect, get disrespect.
yah right. they get what they get

IDK THEY RESPECT YOUR DAD
Okay so- what the fuck is wrong with those people? Have they even read the will? no? Figured. No wonder why they are so stupid.
