Cleaned up production provides for distinctive sound quality to all areas of instrumental play and vocalization clarity...I don't have a single complaint about this version...None!
I'm always curious on how much the band's (Bobby) from each sale since the labels reissue an album every so often and it's always in a bunch of different colors. Either I hope Bobby is doing well and earns what he deserves after all these years. Victor, Joe, and all the other guys as well. :)

High Roller released those tracks in 2011 as "If The Winds Would Change", though not with the high-end mastering like the First Daze Here collections. www.discogs.com/Pentagram-If-The-Winds-Would-Change/master/331015
Oh goddamn it, I just found a copy of the original version a few months ago hahaha. If only this was announced sooner so I could wait it out. Ah well, I'm still probably going to buy this regardless.
@Relapserecords I can hear Thulsa Doom's song at the end of this video, is that a cover? A live version? Are you guys gonna release their music? So many questions
@@lukaskucera9043 no its not. Have you ever recorded an album? Mixing is adjusting all the volumes of all used mics into a whole sounding piece of music and adding all kind of effects and extra sounds to it so it becomes the way you want it to sound. Whereas mastering is preparing and transferring that final mix to a digital master or mastertape(analog) so that it can be copied and reproduced for production.
@@lukaskucera9043 "mastering and mixing are the same thing" absolutely not, Mixing is tacking the multitracks you record into a desk/interface and getting them to fit with each other from an EQ POV and also using things like compression on individual tracks to create an out put file that sounds good in a stereo Format. Some FX may be added , Panning , is applied etc, Pops and clicks are removed, in some cases parts are edited, decisions are made regarding which specific takes are used. Mixing has no specific Volume value in mind, just to create a balanced audio stereo mix that sounds good Mastering is taking that stereo format out put file/tape and doing very subtle eq moves that accentuate what has already been done, also making the track a lot louder and bringing it to commercial volume(usually with Clippers and limiters), making sure all tracks on an album or EP are at the same volume, making sure this is all done without clipping from exceeding 0db and also making sure the mix translates across as many playback devices as possible. This is the final process before a release from an audio perspective I Mix and Master, they are very much different things
Yeah. This version is complete though (no unnecessary fadeout), and the original (unaltered) versions of Be Forewarned and Lazy Lady are present on the set, too.
It's a compressed youtube upload, so it's kind of difficult to judge dynamics. Also, this version features the complete ending without the fadeout that was added for the original Relapse release. So this release has merit in that regard.
+Alex I hope it's the youtube compression, because it does sound flat and over compressed. I do notice the bass part seems a little more audible though.
Its got the real ending, not the chopped off ending and you can't judge this by youtube. It sounds huge on your turn table! Trust me, I'm their biggest fan
This... this is a mistake right? The drums sound like tin cans and the cymbals are just sizzling all over the place. Put on the original CD if you don't believe me. Please don't release it like this.
Perfect track to open the movie Late night with the devil. Hell yeah man!!
as a hip hop head I just discovered this the other day great band
yeah, boy, the same shit))
Blacksabbth with ozzy have some very good hiphop/rap moments, like in behind the wall of sleep , or even in the wizard.
@@Itsyrm8 I'LL check it out ! I really like ozzy
Right!!! Good ol stoner metal/Rock just hits different
Damn that riff is so dope 🔥🤘

Cool reissue. Relapse delivers cool old school stuff again! Pentagram deserved more.

This sounds so flat! The original sounds x100 more better and heavier.
Deep Purple MK I vibes
i prefer the review your choices version i think the double pedal adds to it. this sucks.
Great stuff. Only thing I don't like is the vocals. So early 70's groofy-wierdo-guy.
Well, dude. The song is from the 70's, so what did you expect, Jack?
@@mikekean8344 Most 70's singers didn't sound this dorky. Lots did. But then you don't hear of them much anymore. Kinda like these guys.
