- In this BJJ Training video, Tom DeBlass teaches the Arm Bar Finish while being Stacked.
Tom DeBlass is one of the most decorated American Grapplers there is. In this video he shows us how to properly finish the arm bar from guard when your opponent is stacking you.
The stack is one of the most common defenses to the arm bar from guard and many people have a tendency to give up when they are stacked. This position can pose a huge problem. Some people that assume they need flexibility to finish the arm bar from the stack.
Tom is here to show us that you do not need any flexibility to finish the arm lock when stacked and that all you need to do is position your hips correctly and off balance your opponent. Check it out!

BJJ Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your BJJ skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for BJJ Students who don’t look at BJJ as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

Great stuff, thank you Tom
Tom, your instructional are the best!
Thanks, I'll be giving that a go. I wasn't clear why your positioning to get your hands on the other side but hopefully it will make more sense on the mat.
Nice. Helped me to fix this problem
I have problems with inversions alltogether bevause of the neck. And the way hes all curled up there when laying underneath is already too much of a stack for me. So i have to find a way of avoid getting there.
I have a hard time getting any meaningful movement when stacked
Do more solo inversion drills until you can start to move with weight on you. Then you can do partner drills involving inversion like this one.
