Also, you could take your HMF optimizer and velcro or silicone it to the top of the ecu that sits on the gas tank. Get those wires ziptied up. My OCD can't handle seeing that thing flop around
I really like this idea and it definitely really helps using the proper sealants

If u don’t have your air box lid sealed u should go buy some silicone and put it around the top of the inside lid of air box and us should be fine 👍🏻

Tye Munro Ever thought about when you replace your air filter dumbass. Ya you gotta open the air box after you've had it glued shut. You aren't fucking with anything, you are doing preventive maintenance.

Braydon, we always take the entire airbox out when snorkeling. Then we RTV all the boots, inside and out before hooking up the snorkel. Another good way to test is with a smoke machine. Loving the Honda videos bud.

If I put di electric grease around the seal in ur air box if it is taking in water would that water proof it but u can still take the lid off 🤔

Just make sure you give it a few days for that gasket maker to fully cure before reinstalling your air box lid gasket and reinstalling the airbox lid
Good test video
And using gasket maker under your air box lid gasket by removing the gasket and letting it fully cure and then reinstalling your gasket. Your air box and it will make it very easy to open like OEM

You gotta plug off your air filter and crank case vent off or it won’t hold air. Plus you will always get a little bit of water in box. It’s almost impossible to completely stop it.

I snorkeled mine more as a preventative measure in case I hit a hole a little deeper than I anticipated

I really like this idea, it would even be better if you made a smoker and blow smoke into it. The smoke will come out at the leaks. We do this to find vacuum leaks in automotive.

all you have to do is hold your hand over the snorkel while the 4wheeler is running if it shuts off then you're good if not then you have a leak somewhere

You can buy this thing at princess auto.Idk if you guys have it down there. But it’s called a boost leak tester. Does same thing but it’s got a regulator and everything so you don’t over pressure. Works mind for finding leaks

I use the Same thing but if you put smoke in there you can where See it coming out and that’s where you got a leak
Don’t listen to them when they say with silicon you won’t be able to take it apart that’s wrong it’s not glue and I created a perfect gasket on mine with silicone and can take lid on and off and after riding all day i will only have a tiny bit of water in my box enough that I wouldn’t even have to drain it if I didn’t want to it’s dry up before the next time I rode I also put silicone all on the boot where yours was leaking and around it also remember silicone is not adhesive If you got the right kind
