Thanks for the video definitely helped me out. I thought my atv was RIP and stuck out in the woods but after watching your video I got it figured out quickly and it's back home running
Mate! Thanks alot for your video, I was dubious about whether it was going to work or not lol and I drowned mine in the sea trying to launch a jet ski 👀 but it worked first pop, bloody legend!
I was crossing the creek and my airbox plug came out & i sucked in a crapload of water. I was by myself so pushing it home till quite a while. I just emptied the bowl in the carb ran more gas through it pulled the plug cleaned it up and it was fine.
I got mud water in my intake, the quad stopped running, after a bit of turn overs it slowly idled back to running speed. Should I be concerned about anything else that possibly would or has happened? Like water in the oil or anything? It purrs like a kitten now and I had no problem getting out of the woods
I have the same atv as you, and I’ve been having some problems with changing gears, I can never change to reverse while riding? And other problems with my gears!
OK, awesome. This is basically what we did so far, but we cleaned out the carburetor first and we emptied the oil have to fill it back up tomorrow, but what did you spray the spark plug with i don't believe you said
Well thats not how a choke works and you probably just got mud and sand in your carb sport quads are alright in the mud but you'll get mud and sand in your motor real quick
I️ like the video but if it gets to the spark plug and on top of the piston it’s in the oil. It’s not good to get an engine in water and to flood it. If it get in the oil you should flush it until clean oil . You had way to much oil in it that could blow out seals. First thing you should do is never do that again second thing is pull the plug and crank the motor and get all the water out of the motor then drain the air box and gas take and possibly the rear end then flush the oil meaning drain the oil first then add more run for 10 minute and drain and run another ten minutes for 5 times or till clean and never spray break cleaner in the engine because it can shrink seals and oil will slip past them and leak spray ether (starting fluid ) in there to get a good spark
Great video, however let me point something out. Water making it all the way to the spark plugs will enter through the intake (Airbox) 99.9999% of the time. The only real was for water to come from any other means would be bad spark plug seat, or through the exhaust manifold. If you had no water in the air filter and no water in the muffler, then you need to find out where the water came from.
Bro my friend got water in his four wheeler and he thinks he broker it and he scared he’s gonna get grounded but I’m telling him it’s a four wheeler and it should be good. Could he be right?
No, really the only thing he needs to worry about if he ever goes mud riding is to keep his exhaust pipe out of the muddy water you’ll clog the engine and it will not be able to breather correctly. But I don’t know his specific situation but he should be good!
Some help me I have 850cc Polaris sports man 2016 and it got flooded and the water went into the motar and I tried to turn it on while it still had water in it and it made it worst some one plz help
abraham venegas Do what he did in the video and if the oil is milky drain it and put diesel fuel in, turn it over for about 5-10 seconds, drain it out and do it until the diesel fuel is clean.
I did the same thing in the video and it work but when I pressed the the gas to go it just off so i turn it on and the gear in reverse to see it would go in reverse but I thought it was gonna turn off when I put it gear but it went gear to in reverse and i drove it arounds for a bit so it would burn that’s left in the my exhaust form the water got in a do it drive perfect now I haven’t had any issues at all

This is a hydrolocked engine not a flooded one. A flooded engine is overfilled of gas in the combustion chamber. But good video
A lot of pepole call it flooded when it’s got water in it
you do realize if it was hydro locked it wouldn’t even turn over, which means it’d be “ locked up “ which is in its name hydro locked
no, is not hydro locked
Hydro locked is when the motor is locked with liquid this motor spins fine there fore its flooded pal
@@TickenLiftersI think is the tire pressure

Its hydrolocked but that's a great video man. If its flooded just continue pulling it'll start

Put some die electric grease and then just tip it on its back. That’s what I do when I get water in my snorkels

Starting fluid
I was putting gas and starting fluid in my carburator to start it. Now it's flooded. Drained oil put new. Still don't start
“Its very flammable wont hurt the motor at all” it hurts it when u put to much n blow ur head gaskets or even blow ur head off in some cases
Still runs
Great video!! You are super cute! I want to keep you! Thanks for the video you saved me hours on my little boys mini wheeler

it’s a polaris problem
Dude did more talking than actually giving you the solution
so the water didnt go into the bottom end via a vent line 🤔 mate i doubt water got in via the piston 😂
dude where are your socks and shoes?
mr. deeds normally country people don’t like wearing shoes or socks
2:14 If it didn’t get into the carbureter it wouldn’t be in the engine so it wouldn’t be flooded
It can actually backflow through the exhaust if left sitting in the water to long.
Good point
This just happened to me today but it starts and but when I press the accreditation on my atv and it just turn off

That engine oil does NOT have water in it. There will naturally be bubbles in the oil. The oil will be white when it has water in it.
Livin' The Dream the air box is connected to the carb which leads straight to where gas flows into the engine
Get a snorkel
it says in under five minutes but it took 6.
Waylon Greger 1 minute of talking
For the love of GOD please do not do this you are creating a bomb in your engine!!!!!!!!!
Lol the engine is already a bomb... How do you think your engine starts??? An explosion!!!!!
