Kelani, I have a few suggestions to add to your amazing guide. First of all, thanks for the video and I agree with all the ones you mentioned. The first item i would like to add to this list is a bit pricey, but I think it will be worth it. 1. Lightforged Augumented Rune from Vidicator Jaelaana, having the extra stats will help hit harder and kill mobs faster. Since in BFA toggling pvp will increase experience, I imagine many folks will choose to do so, and being prepared for a gank is important, so number 2. Acquire Speed, Invisibility and PVP health potions for that sweet advantage while being a target. My third suggestion is to run around with 3. Kiljaeden's Burning Wish. That Trinket AOE damage is too much to pass, and being able to pull 3 or 4 mobs and simply aoe them down will help level faster. 4th and last suggestion is to buy from GUILD Vendor the battle banner that allow for 100% xp increase within a radius of 100 yards I believe for 15 minutes, on a 30 min CD.
Everyone keeps forgetting about Guild Page and Guild Herald companion pets, they are respectively only 300 and 500 gold although on a quite long cooldown 8h and 4h. But you can summon them even in dungeons and use as a vendor!
I'd highly recommend getting the addon Scrap, which makes vendoring the crap from your bags much quicker and easier. Automatically, it will vendor all grey items from your bags. You can then setup specific rules for almost anything else to automatically vendor that you know you'll never want (soulbound greens, etc.)
As a havoc DH you can "fly" incredibly fast. Step 1: Jump and use wings, using wings makes you do a tiny "jump" and makes you to fly at a specific speed. Step 2: use vengeful retreat while in the air. Because you already got the first wing jump out of the way, the next time you use wings it will only be a slowfall effect. I'm not sure, but I think it is a bit faster than gliders.
Another way to travel across water would be the Fathom Dweller (jelly fish mount) or the Brinedeep Bottom-Feeder (shark mount from fishing). Took about less than 2hrs to get the Fathom Dweller. And relatively easy to grind the rep for Conjuror Margoss when you find a group to get the Brinedeep Bottom-Feeder. 🐬 Just keep your toon’s head above water while mounted to avoid the underwater breath timer.
In regards to water walking: if you're a hunter, you can tame one of those water bugs and if you have that pet out, you get water walking too. This applies to being mounted as well.
Thanks Kelani. I already have the Azure Water Strider at least. It made questing through WoD and Legion significantly easier. I'm looking forward to BfA.
Get the small engineering shack in the garrison for Warlords of Draenor and you can craft the glider kits without picking up engineering yourself. Water Walking mount can be substituted with the fishing raft, no casting time and requires less reputation.
might I suggest the water raft you can pick up from the anglers, too? Hit the spacebar enough times and (to me) it feels like you are actually going faster than the water walking mounts....and you have the added benefit of fishing when nodes come up...just sayin...
You are absolutely right about the goblin glider kits, just bought out my AH of em to save for BFA launch. Most goving for about 5g a piece, i have 50 stacks of goblin glider kits now!
Other things which should have been included in this list: Water walking pots / under-light angler leveled invisibility pots Guild Page and Guild Herald pets (portable vendors if you dont have the mammoth mount + can be used in doors). Argent Gruntling / Katy's Stampwhistle toy (portable bank access + mailbox for those non Engineers / Nightborne) Swiftness potions (great if you end up over pulling on a lower geared character) Battle Standard of Coordination (and the lesser two) - if you're actively leveling with people in the guild for the exp / rep boost. Bear Tartare (assuming the effect wont be disabled above 110)
gotta be honest i love the new leveling content every expansion. nothing quite like the feeling of immersing yourself in the new zones and getting familiar with the new continent we'll be in for a while.
Hey Kelani let's not forget that you actually need less token of you use the *Darkmoon Faire Buff* that increases you reputation and exp by 10% for an hour. It starts this sunday.
Kelani!!!! I got a bfa key yesterday so I’m gonna play the shit out of all the zones, so I can speed level to cap at launch. I’m gonna piss a lot of people off in the forums on the fire mage because kindling should be baseline.
Getting the Azure Water Strider involves doing the Pandaria fishing dailies (The Anglers). There are about a dozen daily quests possible and three are available every day. Only two of the daily quests involve actual fishing and the rest of various other types of quests, get this, kill that, interact with the other. It's not that hard. As for the Crimson Water Strider, if you try to do the garrison fishing part by yourself, yes, it can be tedious. Once you get to the point where you must fish in the garrison, look for custom garrison fishing groups and join up. It's much faster that way.
with there being so many things to remember i really appriciate this guide. very helpful. usually in no rush and dont play beta even though i have it but these are just quality of life things not to mention probably make a killing on the AH lol
The real trick was using gnomish gravity well to get as much height as you want, glider to slow fall, and Emerald Winds to move you forward after reusing gravity well. Well b4 flying came out in legion I could fly from ANY spot in Broken Isles to any other spot. Could even reach the highest peak tower in Dalaran. For it to really work well in BFA we'd need an item like Emerald Winds that works outside of Broken Isles. But even without it still works pretty good.
And you can't get to max level in 30 minutes. I was exaggerating the fact that people just want to rush everything in this game and complain when they have nothing to fo afterwards.
Completly agree mate they are the same people that complains on the forums about how this game is not as good as before and the RPG component of the game is gone
It's 2018 people are smarter with their money and don't want to shell out 1000+ dollars to play one expansion, maybe want to think before flaming people for wanting content for a full price box on top of a sub fee, better yet grow up stop having you mom and dad pay for your sub fee or your housing.
Also if u want to save some timewalking badges the tokens are account bound so u can send them over to your human alt with the Darkmoon Faire rep buff to speed it up a bit
1:00 I was thinking "meh, why would I need glider kits? I don't see any stormheims or highmountains in particular in the new zones" but WHOA, that view! Blizzard may be able to top Suramar if they keep up such breathtaking vistas. It should also be kept in mind that a level 1 engineering building allows you to craft glider kits yourself without engineering. Just trade in some garrison resources for materials at a trading post and you're good to go.
The water mount is actually really easy. Like me you may have a few alts who have a bunch of Timewalking badges on them, just use that alt, fly to timeless isle, buy a bunch of the anglers rep tokens, mail them to a toon, rinse and repeat, then take all those tokens and go to pandaria, hand them in and you're good to go. Once you get revered you can buy that increased rep item from the guy who sells the water mount, it allows you to double your rep gained. In total I needed 80 or so rep tokens, was super easy. 5200 TW badges total.
if getting dazed off your mount is a problem for you,i recommend using the Heirloom mount, its slow as shit but you are immune to daze if you choose to run through packs of deadly npc's you can even set a keybind for your normal mount and the heirloom mount.
Also one side note on the water strider. If you are an alliance player and have a human toon, even if it is an alt, and you are starting from scratch on the fishing rep, do the turn ins on a human for the racial bonus and maybe even wait for the darkmoon fair if you can hold out that long.
lol I love the sass in this one Kelani. Good suggestions, too. Race ya' on the azure water striders, then leaping off to glide with my engineer's glider. You can buy my goblin gliders to keep me going with my transmog changes. heh heh
11x Lv110 here and every single one of them has engineer as one of there job! Jeeves for bank/repair/vendor, mail box, loot-a-rang, bunch of portal/teleporter, build-in glider into your cloak, nitro speed boost for your belt and bunch of other fun toys :)
Worth noting that you can also use the Kosumoth mount for a pseudo water walking mount. Maybe a bit less efficient but it gets the job done. Edit: Also Reigns of Poseidus or however you spell it is both easier to get now, and usually pretty cheap as well.
If there are any quests that require you to do stuff UNDER water, then a swim speed mount would be a great idea. There are many in the game, but I got my Fathom Dweller in about 3 hours.
do they take away the Fishrender's Blessing from the artifact fishing pole. not water walking but you transform into a fish while you hold it and it moves pretty fast
I wanted to mention a faster way some can get the water walking strider mount. This week is MoP timewalkers. The quartermaster for MoP is up. You can buy the rep tokens needed to rep up and just go buy the mount with timewalker badges. Skipping having to do the dailies and just having it done and over with.
Combine slow fall with goblin glider to increase effectiveness. If you're lucky to have a druid/priest combo in leveling, druid stag forms can levitate and still be mounted.
Just an note on selling greens/blues from quest, if you are like me and want to gather materials for crafting to make an extra buck, DONT vendor them, instead use the scrapper in your hub.
its easier if you work the "fishing friends" rep with your main, then buy all the special bait from them and send them to your alts.. its also the easiest way to lv up the fishing road
I came back to the game during WoD after a multi-expansion break. In the lead up to Legion the Water-strider was highly recommended, and like a fool I ignored it. Got bored since it's the end of expansion and not a lot is going on and finally went to get this. Given there looks to be a high amount of water/island areas, I have a feeling I'll be glad I did.
I know for some it is cursing, but you can make the engineer building in the wod garrisson and ask the npc in that building to make them for you, only bring the mats, but they are easy to get if you buy them when on sale at the garrisson trader. Hey, you can see that wod garrisson again :)
i can't find the schematic for the goblin glider where di i find it please but being a frost/blood DK with engineering and mining is an okay deal i think but it would be nice to make some gold from the glider thanks for a good video i would love to hear more about this topic
Should be noted that the legendary rod is a good alternative to the water walking mount. I actually prefer it now as the water walking mount was nerfed so if you take any damage at all it no longer walks on water. The rod however gives you the speed boost while swimming and can be swapped out in or out of combat. This rod works off of legion content and even in battlegrounds. It's a must have quality of life item for all points in gameplay on my opinion.
There are a number of items that would be great to have, many not mentioned. The obvious basic stuff like flasks, pots, food, drums of rage, swim speed pots. Then there are the really big things like Falling Flame, the 4 on use mounts with 3 charges that run at like 400% speed. Then the items i wont mention as their prices will skyrocket if i do :P
Ive been buying up Fel Meteorite on my server but im worried they will be limited/changed coming in bfa, Does anyone know how this has been handled in the past? Im guessing the prepatch will nerf it but im taking the gamble :)
Hey Kelani, really liked this video. Gonna grab the strider for sure, but i do have all the other things down. and the prof ones too. my main is a bs and i have an alt who's a engineer. Only one i'll miss is the barding. Guess i gotta work on my Leather worker.
as an engineer, I got my reusable glider cloak tinker (and i can make kits for alts) to repair/vendor i have jeeves, reeves, the guild page, mammoth and yak mounts, for water walk/swim/breath i have the waterstrider and the brinedeep bottom feeder mounts, and the artifact fishing pole. bring it on!
For the past few months i've been stockpiling: Goblin Gliders. Swim Speed Potions. Water Walking Potions. Bear Tartare. I plan to milk that BFA launch for gold.
I didn't think of the bear tartare. I felt like it was a gamble on whether or not they'd cap its effects at 110 or add another version of it in BFA using BFA materials like the mount buffs.
MegaChickenfish you make a great point. Currently I have about 3000 bear tartare and sell it in stacks of 5 as pre patch gets nearer I will sell through more and at launch sell whatever’s left even if it’s been nerfed I’m sure there’ll still be a market for it
Tartar is nerfed in BFA, not a flat speed increase anymore but a scaling effectiveness in speed, still be better than nothing though but it isn't as good as it is now.
A few more things; pick up 200 prolonged power, macro them to a spell, get 8-9 flasks always keep it on. Get some pylons so you don’t have to run back. Get some legion utility food, the healing or speed should work well.
If you have the Tillers rep up to exalted (I guess) then you can use those to get to exalted by just completing one daily with those guys. Also takes some time, but I got all Pandaria factions to exalted by that :D
There is another way of getting water walking that most people doesnt know. You can have a waterstrider pet as a Hunter And use its special ability. You can get one as a pet in Pandaria, with is a rare one.
Fadof Oliveira for BM only..and it's actually rather well known It's a very..very niche pet, as other pets due to abilities will out ultimately save more time than the strider anyway
As a person who returned to the game for Legion after a more than 10-year break, I don't entirely understand how to get the water gliding mount. Could somebody break it down a little bit more for me, I would really like to have one and I don't. I do have quite a few timewalking badges since I've never had a use for them.
Kelani could you do a video on professions? Specifically, how much skill you'll already need in order to get the best start on leveling the professions for end game recipes.
You should probably have included Bear Tartare food on your list. Getting 70% sprint for 6 seconds every time you kill something, even critters, is super nice for questing in general.
My main is shaman so I won't have a problem with water walking. (And as a collector I already bought both water strider mounts long ago anyway. So my alts won't have to worry even without the water walking skill). The Yak and Mammoth are worth their price, not only for a new expansion so they won't be a problem either. Again, I have both as a mount collector. However, Goblin gliders seems like a good idea.
Been saving my daily Alchemy Lab potions and spending them on Draenic Speed pots, 200% swim speed and no zone restriction.70% land speed. 8 second duration.
I'm surprised some folks may not have a water walking mount, but they are great to have! Good idea on the gliders. Have fun folks, till your next video!!
The rep for Anglers isn't even that hard anymore. Just do the 1st dungeon during any timewalking week on multiple toons to get 500 badges each. Then when MoP timewalking comes around, you can buy rep tokens and mail them all to one toon to get exalted.
those mounts are still pretty slow I don't remember exactly but I don't believe they are 100% pretty sure having water walking will still be the fastest
The water mounts ARE slow. They're just faster than normal swim speed. But a water strider is normal epic land speed because you're on top of the water not going through the water. The Abyssal Seahorse is like epic flight speed underwater, but only usable in the Vashjir zones.
NOTES: Goblin Glider kits Mounts that walk on water: azure water strider easy (MOP timewalking easiest way reputation badges) Water walking potions. Repair/transmog mount: 16k gold cheapest with no transmog Leather barding/stirrup- from leatherworking or BS. Allows not to get dazed or loot while mounted
Watched a few of your vids in the past few days and i've enjoyed all of them! I really like your video edit and commentating style - Subbed
Kelani,

Theese are little saviours at times. Also, if you are an engineer it is worth getting your Jeeves mde.
also you cant pull out mount sometimes so they are better. like running low level raids
I'd highly recommend getting the addon Scrap, which makes vendoring the crap from your bags much quicker and easier. Automatically, it will vendor all grey items from your bags. I just recentlly found you KeLani, but must say im glad i have your Videos Are great !
Goblin gilder kits also have the bonus effect of being usable in combat, unlike flying mounts. They're very handy for a quick getaway.

with there being so many things to remember i really appriciate this guide. very helpful. usually in no rush and dont play beta even though i have it but these are just quality of life things not to mention probably make a killing on the AH lol
Good video Kelani. Thank you 😊

This is best pre BFA video! Imagine these items for War Mode PvP.
Im just gonna enjoy the game, take my time. I have no rush to start raiding 30mins after the xpac launches to then complain that the game is dead.
Amen, I'm finally going for completionist in this expac :)
Raids don't open until a week after launch
And you can't get to max level in 30 minutes. I was exaggerating the fact that people just want to rush everything in this game and complain when they have nothing to fo afterwards.
Completly agree mate they are the same people that complains on the forums about how this game is not as good as before and the RPG component of the game is gone
It's 2018 people are smarter with their money and don't want to shell out 1000+ dollars to play one expansion, maybe want to think before flaming people for wanting content for a full price box on top of a sub fee, better yet grow up stop having you mom and dad pay for your sub fee or your housing.

if getting dazed off your mount is a problem for you,i recommend using the Heirloom mount, its slow as shit but you are immune to daze if you choose to run through packs of deadly npc's you can even set a keybind for your normal mount and the heirloom mount.
You gave me an eye opener on the items for your mount. how fast can you pick these up? (I have all profs, so I'm certainly going to focus on that)
Also one side note on the water strider.
You can buy my goblin gliders to keep me going with my transmog changes. heh heh
You can use your WoD garisson to make gliders even if you dont have engineering yourself
Grag303 never thought of that.
Thanks
No one wants to go back to that shithole
how ?
Rabih Younes have the engineer SMALL profession building
cool thanks ! :D
Not to mention you have more control with Goblin Gliders than you do with say Slow Fall.
Great video, Great tips, Great content
If there are any quests that require you to do stuff UNDER water, then a swim speed mount would be a great idea. There are many in the game, but I got my Fathom Dweller in about 3 hours.

As you just said. GG
Isn’t there some kind of item enchant engineers have that does the same thing as the goblin glider?
Combine slow fall with goblin glider to increase effectiveness. If you're lucky to have a druid/priest combo in leveling, druid stag forms can levitate and still be mounted.
Great stuff, well done.
Damm Kelani!!! You just made me reactivate my wow signature. Dammmmmm you !!!! xD
CAn´t you still make the gliders in your Garroson?
Just an note on selling greens/blues from quest, if you are like me and want to gather materials for crafting to make an extra buck, DONT vendor them, instead use the scrapper in your hub.
you can also get the artifact fishing road to walk over water and swim faster
Vartence I only wish it wasn't a chore to get it on all of my guys.
Once you have it on one, it's a lot easier to farm lures for the rest. Just send the redundant ones via mail to someone with a guild bank.
its easier if you work the "fishing friends" rep with your main, then buy all the special bait from them and send them to your alts.. its also the easiest way to lv up the fishing road
Vartence good idea thank you
Just saw the Q&A, and I hope I am wrong, but it seems the abilities of the pole will be tied to the Broken Isles :/
what ui are you using? look nice and clean
This UI at start of video is the blizz UI?
I came back to the game during WoD after a multi-expansion break. In the lead up to Legion the Water-strider was highly recommended, and like a fool I ignored it. Hello ,which legendaries will best for leveling ? BM hunter thx for answer
I know for some it is cursing, but you can make the engineer building in the wod garrisson and ask the npc in that building to make them for you, only bring the mats, but they are easy to get if you buy them when on sale at the garrisson trader. Hey, you can see that wod garrisson again :)

but being a frost/blood DK with engineering and mining is an okay deal i think but it would be nice to make some gold from the glider
thanks for a good video i would love to hear more about this topic
save 10 mins of your life. tl;dr: Gliders, water walking mount, rep/mog mount, new bardings/stirrups/hoofplates
Excellent. All my toons have gliders, water walker, yak. stirrups and barding are great for gatherers
Super helpful mate!
As an engineer who has been stockpiling gliders, thank you for the free advertising :D
Or those that will be selling them also, more competition.
Also please note you cannot walk on water while mounted, only swim faster. Also works in lava haha.

Then there are the really big things like Falling Flame, the 4 on use mounts with 3 charges that run at like 400% speed. Then the items i wont mention as their prices will skyrocket if i do :P
which items... don't hold back!
Where can you learn the goblin glider recipe?
Have you tried using Fel Meteorite, or Strange Dimensional Shard in the beta yet?
Ive been buying up Fel Meteorite on my server but im worried they will be limited/changed coming in bfa, Does anyone know how this has been handled in the past? Im guessing the prepatch will nerf it but im taking the gamble :)
As a druid: Wild Charge + Flap was an absolute godsend at the start of Legion!
YES, i'm not the only one! Don't forget emerald winds and the kite
To all casters out there, Prototype Personnel Decimator is really solid trinket to level, missile dmg is nuts when you compare it to your spells.
Hey Kelani, really liked this video. Gonna grab the strider for sure, but i do have all the other things down. and the prof ones too. my main is a bs and i have an alt who's a engineer. Only one i'll miss is the barding. Guess i gotta work on my Leather worker.
Things I got reminded I better do soon: Grind water walking mount = timewalking grind. Stock up on goblin gliders.
as an engineer, I got my reusable glider cloak tinker (and i can make kits for alts) to repair/vendor i have jeeves, reeves, the guild page, mammoth and yak mounts, for water walk/swim/breath i have the waterstrider and the brinedeep bottom feeder mounts, and the artifact fishing pole. bring it on!
For the past few months i've been stockpiling:
Goblin Gliders.
Bear tartare is being nerfed in bfa 😟
You can also get a guild page pet who is a vendor and can be used inside dungeons/raids
hi sry but for the waterstrider why 105 tokens i thought they give 500 rep. and u need 3k+6k+12k+21k=42k so 84tokens not 105. or did i make a mistake?
A few more things; pick up 200 prolonged power, macro them to a spell, get 8-9 flasks always keep it on. Get some pylons so you don’t have to run back. Get some legion utility food, the healing or speed should work well.
Does anyone know where the timewalking vendor on the timeless isle is? I can't seem to find Mistweaver Xia at all.
Is the underwater fish mount essential to grind for now for BFA?
Nice tips mate 👍😀
Thanks !!))
You can also make goblin gliders in your WoD garrison using an engineering hut and trading post (about the only useful thing still there)
This video got me the waterstrider
mount wednesday ezpz. thanks alot!
OH yeah, on my hunter anyway. For the alts, it's still the mount though. Or the artifact fishing pole on those that have it
Fadof Oliveira for BM only..and it's actually rather well known
It's a very..very niche pet, as other pets due to abilities will out ultimately save more time than the strider anyway
You are a lifesaver!!!
Bloodynoush Afaik, we'll get Expansion-Separated Skillbars for Professions in BfA. So it doesn't matter at all.
ua-cam.com/video/T14Yda8sqrs/v-deo.html
You won't need any skill to pick something up for the next expansion.
Haven't played in awhile...do Warlocks still have waterwalking with their Dreadsteed?
How would you say Assassination is shaping up for BFA? im looking to main one.
You should probably have included Bear Tartare food on your list. Getting 70% sprint for 6 seconds every time you kill something, even critters, is super nice for questing in general.
oh my god looking at your bags gives me anxiety. How do you get them so full without going insane?
My main is shaman so I won't have a problem with water walking. (And as a collector I already bought both water strider mounts long ago anyway. So my alts won't have to worry even without the water walking skill). The Yak and Mammoth are worth their price, not only for a new expansion so they won't be a problem either. Again, I have both as a mount collector. However, Goblin gliders seems like a good idea.
Also, regarding the Goblin Gliders: engineers can tinker their cloak for a permanent glider
Never go anywhere without my transmog mount. Can empty my bags and travel in style while I'm at it.
Everyone forgets the turtle. It's a water mount and I think there's other water mounts so you won't have to swim.. they'll go faster in the water.
Aquatic form ftw!
those mounts are still pretty slow I don't remember exactly but I don't believe they are 100% pretty sure having water walking will still be the fastest
I'll have to poke at it sometime, then. I was under the impression that all mounts had the same speed.
Works nice having a druid, that's for sure. :D *has one*
The water mounts ARE slow. They're just faster than normal swim speed. But a water strider is normal epic land speed because you're on top of the water not going through the water. The Abyssal Seahorse is like epic flight speed underwater, but only usable in the Vashjir zones.
NOTES:
Goblin Glider kits
Mounts that walk on water:
azure water strider easy (MOP timewalking easiest way reputation badges)
Water walking potions.
Repair/transmog mount:
16k gold cheapest with no transmog
Leather barding/stirrup- from leatherworking or BS. Allows not to get dazed or loot while mounted
There are some good Add-Ons like Dugi Guides (non subscription though, the default non subscription version of the Add-On is definitely good enough)
Does bear tartare work in bfa? Id add that to the list as well if it does😁
@Kelani what classes are you considering so far for the expansion ?
DH, Lock and Monk are up there. Still struggling with that question myself though :P.
I hope they add an item like Aviana's Feather or Emerald Winds. Those were so, so, so useful.
Bear tartare for movement. Guild banner for big packs/areas. exp gems from JC with high titanforged current legion gear.
