Thank you for making this video! My mother (she's 70!) is coming back to WoW. She's been playing since BC, off and on. However, in Legion she fell behind because she got overwhelmed and confused on what to do. This video helps a lot because it makes it easier to understand where she ought to begin and perhaps focus her attention. You're a gem!
Swole Senju it is better than sitting in front of a tv. It isn't as though she were made of money and can travel all over the place, plus she is handicapped. What wow has done is kept her mind keen. And she loves playing the game. It is tough enough being old. I won't be the one to take that from her too.
Girl, I took notes on your video hahaha! And I usually don't take WoW that serious. Thanks for the video. Keep uploading stuff about BFA pls. Specially in the first two weeks. Have a great day over there!
Good for you on your sponsorship! you deserve it! Also, glad that I did the regions in order as you mentioned with my main. All without extras (legendaries, etc.)! Great guide and thanks for the help.
Just purchased my BfA upgrade yesterday and I'm getting to play it today for the first time. Thank you so much for this video! I can't wait to start playing! :)
Thank you for covering the practical stuff like this that is useful in a broad sense, rather than super-specific mythic raider only content accessible to a small group. It's refreshing and you are a gift to the community.
Just found your channel via UA-cam recommendations, glad I did. Thanks for this video, the tips will prove useful. I even sent out a link to it to my other guildmates. Subscribed.
How does this not have more views it is on wowhead for crying out loud! Anyway thanks for all the content you cover a lot of us would be in the dark without you! Gratz on Wowhead!
I played all through legion without knowing of your videos, so excited to be a fan of yours now with your super positivity and just reminding players to RELAX and enjoy the game.
I just have to say out of all wow youtubers. And I've seen a lot. I enjoy your content the most. Your content feels way more genuine and doesn't sound like your regurgitating a script over video. Keep up the great content. 😁
The whole "Enable War mode" tip might as well have a preface of "if you're a mage" since just teleporting to Org/SW then hearthing back will make the shortest travel time possible.
There is actually a guild vendor in Tradewind Market (and probably one in the Horde place, but I've not played any Horde yet) - if you go to the flight master in Tradewind, turn 180 degrees (back to the flight master), there is a door on the left not far away. You can buy the Battle Standard of Coordination there! Hope this helps! Love the videos! You're very helpful.
I love how you point out portals. I played for like month in legion then, just came back. Rolled a Druid, so a little more, annoyed at how I get from place to place. I found the horde portal room, but you pointing them out is great.
I'M SO EXCITED!!! I'm planning to level my alliance and horde mains slowly through all the story content, take my time, really take in the zones, learn my way around, etc. Once those 2 hit 120, I'll hop on my favorite alts and... well, everyone better get out of my way.
Thanks so much Hazel! Some of this was stuff I already knew but it was great having a refresher on it because it's been like 2 years since I lvled my toons! The exact Bfa info was great! I dont like beta testing because I dont like spoilers but it's nice knowing the best way to lvl and where to set up camp so I'm not completely in the dark!
Although I got a beta invite quite a while ago, I chose not to use it because I really wanted to enjoy every bit of the brand new zones and quests. I don't regret that decision at all, bring on next week!
Thank you Haze! so much for all the cool and useful information. Crazy stuff I love that I know in advance about before learning the hard way! taking notes lol
I just found you & I have to say you are such a sweet UA-camr & very polite & Kind in all your explanations. After playing for 11 or 12 years it's always nice to find really nice Gamers.
The other zones unlock before you complete the first one you've started. If you get stuck on a quest, you can begin another zone. The value in hitting 120 ASAP is in the Flight Master's Whistle. Your existing whistle becomes functional in the BFA zones. 120 also unlocks world quests which can help you fill a particular gear slot. You can comfortably hit 120 before making a serious dent in your third zone and that's just by sticking to the storyline and skipping all the optional quests.
thisll be good for alts, but i personally dont see why some people would wanna level up as quickly as possible right off the bat, take your time, read the quest text and get the full story, thats what i always do (yes i get people do things differently and people have different opinions, i just dont see why youde wanna skip through all that story thats there for you to see)
TheDaxter11 think of high tier players who want to start gearing up ASAP so they can get the lead, doesn’t mean they’re going to skip storyline, just means they want to do it in the most optimal way so they can experience story but know that they aren’t falling behind other high tier people players in doing so
I agree with The Gaming Strategist. I am no hardcore player, but on my main I want to get to 120 as soon as possible and get gearing ready for the first raid. Perhaps I will take my time questing and reading the lore on my alts. That is if I desire to have alts this xpac. I went from 9 alts in WoD to 3 in Legion... Time will tell.
rkempo but by doing that youve already spoiled it for yourself the first time round, you already know where youll go, what youll do and how everythingll play out, not insta-accepting and insta-turning in quests you get all the story the expansion has to offer at launch without having it spoiled by rushing through it on your main and going through it to get the story on an alt edit: plus youll still finish it all in time to do the raid before LFR comes out, and DEFINITELY before the next raid comes out, so theres no need to worry about and of that
I know for me I'll be going as fast as I can because classes at my college startup on the 20th and then I won't have much time to play. Also, my guild is going to be doing the raid as soon as it opens (that's like 2 weeks before LFR comes out if I remember correctly) so we actually already have plans to farm mythic and mythic+ the weeks after it comes out to prep for the raid. I know it's not a playstyle for everyone but we genuinely enjoy playing like this. Most of us also have lots of alts we'll go through and really delve deep into the story with too so I don't really think we'll be missing too much haha
The Gaming Strategist this game isn’t as competitive as it used to be anyways, they removed world first achievement, nobody will be bothered to go to wow progress to check who is first, most of the high tier players are PVE players anyways lol
Hi Hazel I just returned to wow after years of not playing. I am totally dazed and confused trying to get back into the game. Thank You for your videos they have helped a lot. BTW Love your hair.
If you are cool with not playing your main for a couple days, make sure you log out with the Darkmoon XP+ Rep buff. Don't stack top hats, they disappear when the DMF leaves, but the buff itself stays. Nice bit of extra xp!
I'm level 115 now and my item level is currently 250 just by going through Stormsong, but I opened up Tirgarde to get the flight master to Tol Dagor. I've been vendoring gear, I'm going to stop that now.. thank you so much.. You go Girl.. :-)
Great stuff Nutt.... specially the last part!!!!..... Everyone has their own unique style of play and hats why I love WoW, because there’s such diverse !!!! Can’t wait to start!!! MIAGD!!! ( MAKE it great day!!!). 🤗
Nice video. I can't help feeling like I'm always pressured to go as fast as I can because of everything else being tagged by other people and the griefers tapping stuff before you.
In regards to Tip #4: Don't Vendor - Scrap! I just wanted to confirm this was only for like green gear items, quest rewards etc? Actual scrap items (greys, other complete junk) can still be vendored? I just came back after 1.5 years off and still have my stuff set to auto sell those kind of items.
I started this video and saw you and thought right away this video would be um..... ditsy. sorry. this ended being a super well orated video. very nice job. thanks
With #8, whilst it's solid advice in terms of time saved to avoid all rares and treasures, I'd recommend that you grab at least the treasures that aren't too out of your way whilst leveling, as they give War Resources which are very important early on. It doesn't really waste all that much time, and can save you a lot of grief of having to backtrack and farm the Resources later on. The rest were great Hazel!
With the way quests are set up in Tiraguard at least, togling off warmode, prepping quests, toggling on and handing in is probably fairly efficient. Each hug has a poijnter, then like 3 or 4 quests. you could easily stack 25 quests to hand in, then flightpoint/ferry between the hugs and hand in the 3 or 4
I am sooo hyped! Unfortunately I have an inflammation in my left forearm from working too much on the computer and will have to take a break from WoW :D
Another good idea is to grab the Azeroth Auto Pilot addon for BFA... the creators of Conslegion made the addon and points you on the fastest path to finish the questlines of each zone.
I would append the rare spawn/treasure chest part slightly. Once you start questing you will need 100 War Resources to start the Campaigns against the opposing faction zones. You'll only find War Resources in chests, so get enough treasure chests to get 100 War Resources so you can start that.
Best tip you can ever give someone is to install BtWQuests and the Battle for Azeroth plugin for it... It gives you a nice overview of all the quest chains nicely integrated with tomtom, showing you what you get for them, the amount of rep ect ect ect... It's pretty cool as you can see which quest lines actualy aren't worth it and which are :) It perfect for figuring out how to get to friendly with the needed faction for pathfinder.
Hi Hazel, how do you feel about the shadow priest class changes? Would love to hear your thoughts on it since you play a lot of it :) Maybe a new video for this subject? ;)
I did not dig too much into it, but normally you also gain access to some dungeons during the leveling process. Are those (besides any storyline and stuff) worthwile doing XP-wise? Has anyone some good hint about it? Thank you for your video.
WOW!!! You got sponsored by wowhead! Congrats girl!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!!!!
Hell, it was about time.
Rosa Brand she doesent need to be sitting infront a computer
Swole Senju it is better than sitting in front of a tv. It isn't as though she were made of money and can travel all over the place, plus she is handicapped. What wow has done is kept her mind keen. And she loves playing the game. It is tough enough being old. I won't be the one to take that from her too.
And why is that?
You asking me or Swole? Not sure what the "what" is.
Was asking swole, kinda ridiculous that he/she thinks that. It's great your mother has found something that keeps her happy and her mind active.
"It's kind of like the obliterum forge, except this one is useful" xDDDD
That was a great line!
4 more days, "*heavy breathing*"
MabusGaming 5 days*
Marcel Rodriguez Nope, 4 days and a couple hours. (I'm not ready or anything...)
I can't wait! I'm not sure what class to main yet though.... T-T
Marcel Rodriguez bfa will release at August 13th 6pm( New York time)
6 more hours here in Belgium. going mad:D
Great guide and thanks for the help.
thanks hazel! your pet battles have helped me tremendously in the past, congrats on your wowhead sponsorship! you deserve the recognition!
Heck yeah! Congrats on the sponsor from WowHead!! And thanks for the great tips!! See you in Azeroth!
Just found your channel via UA-cam recommendations, glad I did. Thanks for this video, the tips will prove useful. I even sent out a link to it to my other guildmates. Subscribed.
I love that Wowhead is sponsoring you! My favourite wow site sponsoring my favourite wow youtuber. Congrats!
holy hell one of the best guides I've seen since TankSpot days. From a returning player that's been gone for years, thanks!
Stay hydrated. That's friggin' awesome. This video pairs best with filtered H20 and the occasional glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
Congrats on the Wowhead feature! I was so excited to see your video there lol
I just have to say, out of the 5 WoW streamers I've watched, you're my favorite. You don't over complicate anything :) Thank you Hazel!
Thanks Hazel! As always, useful and enjoyable
We stan a queen with great camera quality 🤩
What exactly is weird about telling somebody they have a great camera? :-/

Really great video. And your enthusiasm is contagious. Thanks!
Sponsered by Wowhead, awesome! Thanks for the tips, Hazel :)
If you wanna do the trick with Warmode turn-in the cloaks of coordination from the guild vendor can help a lot!
Your videos are always amazing and it seems that you pay much attention to bring us high-quality content. Very helpful, thanks!
-xoxo ❤️
Although I got a beta invite quite a while ago, I chose not to use it because I really wanted to enjoy every bit of the brand new zones and quests. I don't regret that decision at all, bring on next week!
I did the same thing. IO did Log in but then chose to stop. I needed to do more on my main toon in any case.
Thank you Haze! so much for all the cool and useful information. Crazy stuff I love that I know in advance about before learning the hard way! taking notes lol
Thanks Hazel for the video I barely found you and subscribed :) Coming back after a long break Cant wait to Start the grind again!
I just found you & I have to say you are such a sweet UA-camr & very polite & Kind in all your explanations. After playing for 11 or 12 years it's always nice to find really nice Gamers.

Can't wait to clog my server in an attempt to level in BfA. Your advise is always appreciated. Luv ya
Awesome video! I'm learned so much from this 10 min video, thank you for sharing.

@murcroadster True. Hopefully they give a bit of XP.
"don't stress out about doing everything as fast as possible"
hahaha... ahh that's a good one.
Grats on the sponsor too legend :)
Very helpfull video! Can't wait to get in there and enjoy the leveling instead of rushing trough it like in legion :x
Thanks WoWhead & Hazel!
Just found your channel, and I'm loving it. 👍
Thank you very much for the information and insights!
You do such a great job. Thanks for this. I had been so confused.

Thank you for a great video! Also, I love your mermaid hair :)
Hey! Awesome video for someone who does not pay attention to this stuff!
I really enjoyed this video- thank you!
Excellent tips! Thank you!
1st time viewer. Loved the video. I subbed and I hit the bell. It's always nice to see another female gamer. Keep up the good work.
7:45 you can also buy the guild xp banners from the "Guild Page" pet :)
Hazelnutty, thank you so much for another amazing video:) ..... You and Tradechat are my top 1 and 2 in WOW videos:)
Very informative! Thank you!

Completely forgot about the xp gain from gathering (I’ve been an alchemist/JC). May switch to finish out to lvl 120. Thanks!!
Great vid!!! Love the channel!

We have time?! Don't you know that whoever doesn't hit 120 day one is going to be BEHIND?!
I CANNOT BE BEHIND! ARGH!
ROFL Yeah that's not Why I paid the $69.99. I want to enjoy the game some.
how old are you and what sex are you? I’m trying to figure out what kind of people type like this.
alex nordlund This is obviously sarcasm and I hope you understood that.
It's just that you and 80% percent of everyone who comments on a wow video sounds like a 12 year old girl.
Thank you for this... I'm truly going to need it...
verynice and wonderfully explained
Thank You Hazel !!!
The experience gem is Unique-Equiped. Doesn't that mean you can only have one equiped?
Awesome advice!
Amazing video with amazing voice , ty girl really
I did not dig too much into it, but normally you also gain access to some dungeons during the leveling process. Are those (besides any storyline and stuff) worthwile doing XP-wise? Has anyone some good hint about it? Thank you for your video.
Is the Battle standard of coordination a one time use? Or do you keep it after use?
Creeper, how did you know my mother's birthday was during my leveling time? >_> Great video thanks!
