- greg the egg
s1 only for now because it's too long as it is
i'm rewatching this absolute gem of a show, so
i have a separate compilation for tomgreg i might upload later x
The most important part of this show is the delicate balance of no one ever acknowledging Greg's existence and Greg simultaneously causing one of main conflicts of the show.
wait i’m confused what main conflict did he cause ??
He didn't cause any conflict.
@@elle.9839 he destroyed the cruise ship documents I think
@@harrietkumah8549 also witnessed Stewy and Sandy colluding but didn’t say anything
Greg started the fire
i absolutely adore him but the secondhand embarrassment i get every single time hes on screen is stronger than anything else ive ever felt in my life
That's pretty pathetic for you.
@@Accidentsish what? How
Like I can’t 💀💀💀
TRUE i was like brooo stop talking 😭😭
Yeah
"Um I mean I don't wanna be melodramatic but my body is growing weak due to a lack of sustenance..." 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
this line is when i knew he was something special and that this show is secretly a sitcom
"I apologize if my bell summoned you"
😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is a fave 🤣
Burst out laughing in the middle of the night
that line KILLS me
Omgaaaaawwwd that was funny 💀
I just realized this king has been blackmailing people since season 1 I have no choice but to stan.
Succession is gonna end with him as CEO
@@whcares honestly, that would be perfect
Wait whatt when was it i forgot
@@rasheesaalea7805 there's the time he says to Kendall that he has info about the cruise shit so whoever ends up on top would do well to take care of him. At the very end of the video he calls him a Machiavellian fuck
The fact also that he went toe to toe with Tom and fully stone cold denied diming him out to Gerri, when he actually had, shows that he does have some balls.
That, and without embarrassment, having the giant Greg-the-Egg balls to jump into Logan’s car to pitch a job for himself.
Also, they didn’t show it amounting to anything, but best I can tell, he was recording on his phone a confession type thing about the cruise issues. Or was wire tapping others with his phone. Checking it’s sound pick up in his various pockets.
he is written and played so perfectly. how can he be so well spoken yet so inarticulate
You should meet me. I'm like a dictionary but too fucking anxious to put coherent sentences together
If it is to be said, so it is
lmfao thats such a perfect way to describe his speech
"it was raining, so i picked him up so that he wouldnt get sexualy assaulted" 😂
"I'M TRYING TO STRATEGIZE WITH YOU MOM, BUT YOU WON'T STRATEGIZE WITH ME!"
Cracks me up every time 😂
they basically took a character out of southpark and put him in a modern Shakespearean drama
If Butters was in King Lear
So, in other words, Greg is growing up version of Butters, look so innocent but can be deadly and savage.
I think Kendall’s “I see you Greg” is the first bit of respect Greg has ever gotten in the entire show. It’s weirdly cute
No I think it was when he sold out Tom to Gerri about him doing a press conference and Gerri told him “smart move kid”
@@randomguy2447 Funny thing is, the entire company would have been better off if that conference actually happened.
Also when he blackmails tom and tom is genuinely impressed and proud of him for it haha
"You need to work this out for yourselves. Because, basically, one of you guys hasn't got 14 dollars. Okay?" Gets me every time.
He’s such an adorable leech just finds the weirdest way to come out well in any situation
9n3 of the best lines in the whole series
Proof from the start that Greg is a true Roy, born to control the narrative in his favor-He’s the victim, not the criminal. And that is why he will win Game of Thrones.
@@SamanthaHenderson1 A win for Tom is a win for Greg too
You can't make a Tomlette without breaking a few Greggs
''You sent the same email 67 times in one night.''
God I hope we get to meet Greg’s promiscuous gay father at some point
Oh my god, imagine....
😂😂😂😂😂
He sounds like a fun guy 😂
And then a toxic love triangle forms between Greg, his father, and Tom.
A genius environment to put this character in
LMAOOOO
He may be a worm and a bumbling awkward person but he was able to squeeze his way into a family that literally wanted nothing to do with him. He was integral for a corporate coverup to prove his loyalty, and he now has dirt on an executive plus a fancy apartment in NYC
Yea I'm impressed 😂
And a $40k watch.
Fastest glow up 🔝
Yeah..he is leading a great life lol
@@MrShahid0072 It really is quite an accent considering at the start of the show he was harassed by Logan's bodyguard because they had no idea who he was
It’s incredibly funny that the result of Greg reporting Tom’s abuse to Logan is that Logan respects Tom just a little bit more.
OMG I was rewatching the show and I noticed that exact thing!
Damn I love Greg. He talks like how I think.
Wow, not nice to meet you🤣
@@vicentcarro don't be rude. not nice to meet YOU
Greg is my spirit animal
@@vicentcarro lol u think u any better
"I apologize if my bell summoned you" - that freaking killed me the first time I heard it
he is basically a sentient noodle and here i am willing to die for him
"Sentient noodle" 😂😭
Sentient noodle 😭😭
when he didn’t correct Logan when he got his name wrong I knew he’d be the character I could relate to the most because I’ve literally done that 😭
Greg's awkwardness is so fucking hilarious.
The best thing is that the actor is this way in real life as well. Watch his interview with Colbert lol
I love that Greg speaks like a cartoonish wealthy person because hes tryng to fit in but he ends up sounding like a crazy hobo
“I did hear tell” might be the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.
It's a pretty common phrase in an older age group..
I lost it when Logan Roy calls him an "Ichabod Crane fuck". Wish that was on here haha.
They used to call Tony Blundetto that
It's one of the funniest scenes for me too 😂 Especially because Logan is complimenting Greg while basically saying with his look and exiting that you did terrible job and didn't beleave the deal would be possible to everyone else after it
@@pennystocklocks that animal, I can't even say his name
😂😂 I forgot about that. That killed me.
Greg’s a fucking sniper. All that bumbling and stumbling is to disarm those around him so he can read them when they disregard him.
Nah he's an idiot
3:20 “I apologize if my bell summoned you”. Dead
I would absolutely love it if the stoner kid who repeatedly had trouble gaining access to the building in the pilot episode ends up as the CEO by the series finale.
this aged like fine wine & almost worked out
When he calls Caroline “your excellency” 😭😭😭
"I apologize if my bell summoned you"
How is this sentence so goofy and so intimidating both at once lol
Tom just waving “hey”
Can you PLEASE make a compilation of all of gregs awkward hugs that he gives people 😂😂😂
Yes please!! 😂😍
Yes!! We need this
I need this but with Kendall lmao that man CANNOT hug
@@kal9728 Other skills Kendall does not have: sobriety, public speaking, parenting, charisma... The list goes on.
LMAO YES
You can literally add every single Greg scene from the show and it’ll still fit the title of the video
It’s a shame his mum wasn’t woven into his later storylines
That's one thing! I guess they just dropped it. But I was expecting her to be more of a motivation for him. But he don't need it! He's fucking his way to royalty whether his mom is in his life or not.
What do you mean? She’s always been there.
Greg is hands down one of my favorite TV characters ever
greg the Egg... i love him...
One bite every knows the rules
"Boss Tom" 😂😂😂😂😂
I have way to much in common with Greg. Except I'm not related to any rich or powerful people
The struggle is real
It's all about who you know
Shiv will eventually divorce Tom and he will end up living with Greg as he successfully climbs up the Waystar ladder methinks
what ... Ewwww they are cousins
@@KomalKell through marriage…
methinks
@@KomalKell they mean tom and greg not shiv and greg
@@kiera2850 no they’re not… Grey’s mom is Logan’s Brother’s daughter. They are blood related.
Never have I related to a character as socially awkward as me in my life
"I'll answer to both" i love him 😂
Genius of sucession: WILLA, gerri, Canadian grandpa, Tabitha, Stewy and Marcia
The noxious British ex-wife.
Don't forget Willa
"Incidents like..?"
"Theft, Sexual Assault, Rape... Murder."
"Oh ok... the bad ones."
Absolutely the main reason to watch Succession, such a great character. The cab scene is iconic.
his advantage lies in him mumbling incoherently in any situation no matter what so when people in power put him in tough spot questioning him and he starts mumbling nervously .. it seems like its casual greg :)
kind of genius honestly ..
its like when you see in nature bugs that through Darwinian law adopt a crazy but effective tactic
obviously with greg its just blind luck :)
I believe he is well aware of how others perceive him and plays it to his advantage, one of his strongest suits; unlike other characters who are always trying to put up a front with little to no success (in the eyes of Logan) like Kendall, Roman and Shiv.
Greg not correcting Logan calling him the wrong name is the best
1:10 That Craig and Greg confusion is the way you can tell the writers of Succession are British, it is such a pet peeve of the British that Americans say Craig like Greg.
Cray G
"Muchly appreciated"
“Sexual assault, rape, murder”
“Oh so the bad ones”
Greg has me rolling sometimes lmao
"I apologise... if my bell... summoned you."
This is it. This is the moment I became sure that this would be the beginning of something beautiful with this character.
Greg literally couldn't hurt a fly, the fly could hurt him though.
Greg, handing Tom flyswatters as the fly massacre occurs: "But like, um...like, maybe, we don't...w-what would happen if one *didn't* want to, like...kill flies?"
great one, to the point .-)
Season 4 Greg casually fires hundreds of employees
@@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn5012 But still, he’d cower from a fly.
That last scene at the wedding with Kendall mirrors their scene at Kendall’s 40th. Kendall goes from supporting Greg’s parasitic behavior to condemning it. Even the marking/blocking is the same. Incredible show.
“Do I know you?” “Yeah I was here earlier. I got assaulted in there, a little, anyway-“ underrated Greg line 💀
Its amazing how greg went from not being able to feed himself to hanging out with one of the richest families and doing cool shit
im gonna end my emails with 'muchly appreciated' now
Gregxit
3:17 is so good, from the maid frowning at him, to the brilliant line "i apologize if my bell summoned you" , that it made me want to write a yt comment to share with you
1:31 I'm pretty sure this is the moment Logan gain respect for Greg. That moment where this awkward kid did what his children couldn't. Be upfront and ballsy.
I’ve thought this too. Initially it seems like he’s dismissing him as an idiot. But there’s so much more.
It would be hilarious if this was all an act and he ends up being CEO in a Usual Suspects kind of way.
Poor Craig - I mean, Greg. I used to talk like him in high school. Always the awkward weird guy. It's a long lonely road, dude.
Yep poor greg, except he isn't because he's related to a super rich media family that also like to have him around.
MALE WIFE 💖💖💖
What's great about him is that he is UNSTOPPABLE!! He's a stuttering prick, but he gets what he wants. He makes his moves and he pushes back when people try to fuck him over, even if it means stumbling through it. NO FEAR GREG!
Bro was eating out of doggie bags lmao, the grind never stops
@@Potatotenkopf they're just bags, reallly.
"muchly appreciated" 💀💀💀
“I apologize if my bell summoned you”
i've been dying for succession content exactly like this, thanks for posting!!
Greg in season one: "Mom I...I...I'm so sorry. I... m...m...messed up really bad."
Greg in season two finale: "You a@#holes thought I was a pushover. How do you like me now!"
Spoiler: The entire series ends with Greg as CEO - its been set up from episode 1. Its the best possible outcome.
we are all greg the egg
i like to keep my data pretty tiiiiight
wondering if greg will ever betray kendall some time
I hope not. Then it will be hard for to give an trust to any of them
@@robertbowser1846 Yeah. There has to be some bit of genuine light shrouded under the deliciously entertaining dirt, lol. Greg is quietly slick as hell and could end up surviving it all, but I hope he doesn't betray literally everyone to get there.
(I get the same hope or investment from Tom's genuine love for Shiv and also from how Kendall and his struggle is very relatable if you know what it's like to be treated as the first in line, "responsible child/sibling" while simultaneously being the most overlooked and antagonized. It can create a life and personal developmental situation where you're frequently stuck in the middle, feeling like you can neither be the best for your family or for yourself. Feeling "broken" like Kendall was in S2 is when you resign yourself to both the external and internal blame for everything, so it's going to be fun seeing his comeback in S3. So yeah, things like that are the soul within this show full of soulless behavior, lol, and that balance works to maintain investment.)
Forgive my long-winded thought-vomit, btw 😅
Cousin Greg is pure comedy 😂
Muchly appreciated
Nobody matters but Greg. 05:05 The moment I stopped fighting my feelings and fell head-over-heels for Cousin Greg
"I apologize, if... my bell.... summoned you"😭😭😭
I love that he has no cab fare or money for food then in the 3rd season he buys a $40k watch.
Greg totally working for the feds
At the end of it all I think Greg (maybe after tom) will stand at the top. He's shadowing key figures and learning from them, he comes from relatively (lol) humble beginnings and he doesn't fully agree with the company's ethos. He's slowly learning how to beat the wicked at their own game and hopefully he will emerge with his soul in tact. When he does the company will take a new direction into greater heights
Pretty much he owes you money 😂
Greg is the funniest character on TV and I will not accept any rebuttals
Noho Hank on Barry
@@hayden69istheman touché
6:52 he looks like a lil prince here, so cute
this character is the only reason why i’m watching this show
Thank you for blessing us with this omg. TEAM GREG 4 LYFE
"I apologize if my bell summoned you"😂😂😂😂
god i love him so much, i want to keep him in my pocket
i love him i love him i love him
I wish Greg was my best friend
Greg has such a good heart that he is lost in a society. Ironically being put in the world of wolves makes his whole story and character's development so much more interesting than any other. I've always felt that his emotions and intelligence actually made him being incapable to find the right words, being overwhelmed by emotions, always with good intentions, smart but naive in a world which is opposite of his goodness. That resulting into inarticulateness. But as we see him in season 3 he starts slowly but inevitably to change, becoming more badass than before.. I think season 4 will be veeery interesting, cannot wait!
A sheep in the wolves den, but everyone is more or less friendly with him?
From the first scene, you just knew Greg would be your favourite.
The dynamic between Greg and his Grandpa hits too close to home.
7:22 all my man wants to do is smoke the damn joint. 😂😂
He is BY FAR my favorite character. And my dark horse pick to be in a very good position when it all ends.
Greg will somehow end up on top
"i apologize if my bell summoned you"
He’s a really good bodyguard lmao left that line out
This show is going to end with Cousin Greg ruling the fucking world, just watch.
"I apologize if my bell summoned you" 😭😭😭😭😭
Perspicacious? Damn Craig/Greg with the vocab. He's definitely a sociopath 😆
My body is growing weak due to a lack of sustenance 😂😂😂
That “hell yeah” to end it… perfect.
We love cousin Greg! 1:31 is my face the entire clip.😂
