    Thanks for providing this video! I'm retired Air Force, under TFL (Tricare for Life) and will be retiring to Angeles in the next 3-4 years. I've been contacting the RAO in Subic and Angeles but couldn't get the questions answered thoroughly. I'll most likely be using Medical City Clark or Baypointe. I'm retired Civil Service under FERS, AF Reserves and SSDI. I'll be 64 when I retire in the Philippines. Been there many times back in the 90's.

    Thanks shipmate for these videos. Just discovered your channel a couple of days ago. I was in the Navy from 85 through 89. On USS Midway and towers. Went to subic so many times. I am 100% disabled I have a mechanical heart valve. Obviously I don't want Tricare. Which hospital either in Clark or Subic has the best cardiac unit. I'm trying to decide where to move. Also, if you could pick any insurance to use in the Philippines which would it be? I definitely don't think Tricare is a good idea. I'm engaged to a Filipina for 10 years now and I am planning to move sometime this year. Thanks again for the video. 😎

    Thanks for the info, kinda had a half ass understanding about TOP, I'm signed up already,
    been living in Thailand for the last 5 years, although stuck in America for Covid. Don't know when I can go back. Americans will be the last ones to be allowed in, with over 200,000 deaths.Thailand has changed considerably since March, not too keen on average Joe. BTW, I was there in Subic when Pinatubo erupted, it was a Saturday at about noon, quickly became midnight. Might come back to the PI.

    When retiring in the Philippines you simply pay out-of-pocket for your healthcare. I'll take my chances with a heart attack as long as I'm happy living with my young bride. If you're still so worried, keep an AED at home and make sure the people living with you know how to do CPR.

    • @JuanDiaz-jo1rw
      @JuanDiaz-jo1rw 2 роки тому

      You only pay out of pocket if the hospital you are walking in doesn't take you insurance. So you'll have to contact your Insurance for a reimbursement. But if the hospital works with the medical insurance you have you don't have to pay anything out of pocket. That's why most people have at least two different insurances.

  • @Traveler-PKK
    @Traveler-PKK 5 років тому

    I talked to Tricare and they told me that - You pay Tricare up to $3K out of your pocket then they pay 100% should anything major happen.

      Better how ? it was a Canadian DR best who invented Insulin , most of the procedures for Heart Surgery were invented in Toronto Canada I just had a hip replacement it was totally free including medicines I am retired I did pay a fee of 30 dollars a month when I worked in the USA if the hospital does not kill you the bill will. Medical bills in the USA are the number one cause of Bankrupsy , and a common cause of Suicide

    Just on paperwork alone, you can already get sicker and die! Isn't there an easier way to get health care or treatment? What we need is treatment, not something that can make us feel worse! We don't need paperwork! We need treatment! This is crazy! We had worked so hard so we can have all these so we can get taken care of when we need it, now there's a lot more for us to do and more expenses? It's crazy! What kind of benefit is this?

    If you choose to live in a province in the Philippines, live like a Filipino...don't rely on medical science/hospital. People in the province rely heavily on medicinal plants & quake doctors & exorcist☺️and they are clearly living a longer life compare to those in the city. 90% of those living in the province reaches 100 yrs. old to the average because their foods are all fresh. So if you can adopt to the living style of Filipinos in the province, you can survive paying a lot of money to the highly expensive Doctors/Hospitals like in Manila. Hospital/Doctors fee/bill will be the one killing you😜

    Tricare is the worst. Every claim I have submitted always gets DENIED or Incomplete after 90 DAYS of " Inprocess." If I performed like Tricare I never would have lasted in USAF. THE WORST.

    You said the Philippine is a third world country (your years behind because the last time the Philippines was classified as a third World is at least 7 years ago).... If you are right the Philippines is a third world country then you should not compare it to mightiest country in the world out of 206 countries. Apple and oranges my friend.

      He is not comparing. He is atating a fact. If you go to rural areas in PI, theres not a health care provider. I will compare it to rural areas in USA where therr is healthcare provided. Now thats me comparing.
