Thank you for sharing, great razors. I am a daily shaver. Heavy beard & sensitive skin. In 2020 I used Feather as-d2 , Muhle R41, Muhle R89, ATT Windsor pro, Merkur Futur, Ikon slant & B1 OSS, and seldom a shavette Feather Artist club SS scotch wood. My top two favorite safety razors are ATT Windsor Pro with any blade , and Feather as-d2 with feather blades.
So glad to see you included the Merkur 34C because to this day it is one of my main go-to’s. I really enjoy the aluminum Lupo and the stainless steel offerings from Razorock are something I’ll be looking forward to adding to my den in 2021. Happy Holidays from SoCal😎
Goodmorning Chris, Happy Christmas- I trust you had a day yesterday. Thank you for razer review this morning. My current favourites are; 1.Karve (I have the brass and am awaiting delivery of a ss open comb) 2. Rockwell 6s (i recievd a black ss for christmas) 3. Merkur progress 4. Merkur 34c (always my travel razor) I've recently ordered a occam's razor and I'm looking forward to adding that to my rotation. Thanks Chris for all your hard work and dedication to this hobby. Have a super new year and 2021. Blessings to you and your family
Excellent list, Chris! The Merkur 34c is tops on my list. I’d have my Timeless bronze that I picked up as a “scratch and dent” offering at a discount from them which is an awesome value IMO. I’d include the Razorock Lupo aluminum razor that’s an incredible value and gives me great shaves. I’d have to include my ATT aluminum with R1 plate because I love how it looks cool and gives great shaves as well. I’d have to include the Leaf because it’s my go-to for shaving the dome.
Great list. My top 5 in no order would be Brass Karve D plate, Timeless Slim SS, Rex Ambassador, RR Lupo, Fatboy. I think I watched you use each of those on camera before deciding to purchase so thank you very much :)
After a few years of really not trying too many new razors, this year was a year full of DE exploration. Fortunately, I found the Carbon razors which would be the #1 razors of 2020. But if I had to say a top 5 that were new to me to try... 1 Carbon ++ plate 2 Carbon “-“ minus plate (new daily shaver) 3 Razorock Stainless Lupo (will sell soon) 4 HomeLike Colibri 1.30 SB (tried on passaround but haven’t purchased) 5 Carbon 0.68 plate I’m not going to do much with new DEs in the new year, maybe a couple more base plates and if anything, time for some straight razor shaving. Nice video Chris, happy holidays and cheers
My favorites: Rockwell 6S, PAA Ascension - Aluminum/Stanless Steel, Parker Variant Adjustable, Merkur 34C, Edwin Jagger 89. Vintage: my Fatboy, Black Beauty Adjustable & Slim Adjustables. Another great video, good sir! Enjoy your Saturday.👊
Great list Chris! My top 5 are the following: 1 Rockwell Model T 2. Rockwell 6C 3. Schick E3 Injector 4. Jones Shake Sharp 5. Gillette Fatboy Have a terrific day!
Chris I’m very grateful for your vids. You always but out interesting and well thought out shaving content. I too have the Ambassador and the .84 Gamechanger. They are my #1 and 2 respectively. Next comes my Muhle Rocca (which I highly recommend you try!) followed by my vintage Gillette adjustables. Happy New Year!
Nice list. I only purchased 3/6 razors in the past year. The WCS Charcoal Goods head which is 3 different plates. It's another high value option. Among the 3 plates I reach most often for the Toothsome OC. There was also the Parker adjustable injector. That one is very mild but with a Schick blade on setting 4, I get good results. The winner is my SS Game Changer 0.68. For daily use it is just about perfect. I will have to try the 0.84 one day to compare. Happy Holidays to you.
Enjoyed the video Chris. Thank you! This year I spent most of my time downsizing and getting rid of a lot of extras taking up space in my den. I’ve finally settled in to the type of razors that work best for me. My one regret of the year was letting my Hawk V3 go. Will probably add one back in at some point. As I mention everywhere I go...my top razor of 2020 is the Henson - aluminum and Ti offering. I’d like to try the RR Lupo at some point. Not sure why I haven’t yet. Anyway merry Christmas. Thanks for the rundown!

Nice list Chris 😌👍 I don’t use safety razors much but that won’t ever stop me thinking they’re great. The one that lives in my bathroom is the 34C. I did enjoying borrowing the Futur from my mate James, that was good fun.
Great video! You left out the slants. I have the Merkur 37c and the Ikon x3. Both are great shavers. I also have the envoy that I use with milder blades. I use the Merkur 38c (same as the 34c but longer handle). You might want to try the Viking Stonehedge for a mild shave.
Hello from Italy !! of the 10 soaps described what is the name of the soap with the strongest fragrance that envelops you throughout the bathroom? thank you!
Thus far my top 5 razors in no particular order are: Rex Ambassador, Carbon CX-316L with the " - " plate, Karve brass with the B plate, Homelike Shaving Start all plates, RazoRock Gamechanger 0.84 solid bar razor. Of your top 10 - merkur 34C, Razor rock .84, Rockwell 6S would be on mine; but my daily shaver is the feather AS-D2 ($150) with a feather blade is what I use if I am shaving everyday - If I have a few days growth - it is the Gillett vintage fatboy or slim adjustable with a feather blade set on 7 for the first pass and then #3 for the 2nd and 3rd. Occasionally I will use my 1905 Gillette with a wilkinson gilliette sword just to remind myself that this was one the very first
Great video Chris.. Thanks for sharing. That's some list. My top modern razors this year are: Merkur Future, Rockwell Model T, Edwin Jagger 3one6, Karve CC Plate C, Rockwell 6c, RazoRock German 37 Slant. Stay safe buddy;-)
Hey GM Chris, nice list...My list only includes 3 razors and there in order 3. King C Gillette 2. Muhle R41 1. Merkur 23C Those are my top 3 razors because that's all I have so far. Hope you had a nice Christmas yesterday. Thanks and Best Wishes.

I like my Gem razors and they had some of first advancements in the Micromatic models TTO that were 3 or 4 years ahead of Gillette TTO offering and their single edge blade is still produced and has won the test of time IMO. Great list Chris:) You’re right RazoRock is the best value, I’m waiting for them to make an adjustable razor. My list: Parker Variant, Merkur Progress (long handle) RazoRock Gamechanger, Parker 94r.

Great list Chris. I have a level 2 charcoal goods in stainless steel but that brass one you have looks amazing with the patina! I hope he makes this again in level 3 plate. That brass head could also go well on a rod George handle. I never tried the timeless but do you prefer the scalloped top cap or the non scalloped? My top 5 de razors are: 1. carbon 2. blackland blackbird 3. game changer .84 4. blackland vector 5. charcoal goods level 2
Thanks Raza. I agree, this particular Charcoal Goods razor is amazing. I like the looks of the scalloped top cap but it doesn’t do anything for the shave. I prefer it in terms of looks but again, it’s just for that purpose. Those 5 are excellent brother.
Hi Chris, A lot of great razors there! I have the 34c, de89, 3one6, 6S & 6C, gamechangers and Lupos, all SS and an Envoy. I have 23 razors in all so not many compared to some. Have you tried the Executive Shaving's Outlaw's? (Er...Alpha's where you are). Take care mate, Dave.
@@IAMCDB Yes Chris, the Alpha shavings Outlaw. Standard and Mild versions. All stainless and beautifully crafted. They are linked with Executive shaving in Scotland. Goe fatboy did a good review recently. Stay safe buddy, Dave.
I kinda got stuck with the Yaqi double-open comb (red/black)... I think it looks cool, works well, and costs little. Although I do see a few decent offerings in your list. Have you tried this model? I remember you did review on the beast/knight... Do you find it matters greatly ?
I’ve tried the beast, knight helmet, and aggressive slant. I don’t think I’ve tried the one you’re talking about but I don’t doubt that it’s quite nice.

My daily is still a merkur progress. I also still love my Parker 94R, and my Merkur 39C. I have a few others, but other to write home about. nice top 10 buddy. razors i reach for the most in no particular order would be
rockwell ss oc feather blade style
gillette slim 1966
king c
progress
katana
blades of choice feather, astra sp, king c blades, wilkinson gillette
looking forward to a great new year and a few new straight razors 👍👍👍👍
Those are some nice choices there Paul. Have a great day!
Great list, I’m personally waiting for a non-coated SS Lupo as well 😜
I hope you enjoy it Jon. Wishing you a Happy New Year!
My top 5 de razors are:
1. carbon
2. blackland blackbird
3. game changer .84
4. blackland vector
5. charcoal goods level 2
Thanks Raza. I agree, this particular Charcoal Goods razor is amazing. I like the looks of the scalloped top cap but it doesn’t do anything for the shave. I prefer it in terms of looks but again, it’s just for that purpose. Those 5 are excellent brother.
Great review!!
Thanks sir.
Hi Chris,
A lot of great razors there! I have the 34c, de89, 3one6, 6S & 6C, gamechangers and Lupos, all SS and an Envoy. I have 23 razors in all so not many compared to some. Have you tried the Executive Shaving's Outlaw's? (Er...Alpha's where you are).
Take care mate,
Dave.
I've never tried that one Dave. I'll have to give it a go at some point.
@@IAMCDB Yes Chris, the Alpha shavings Outlaw. Standard and Mild versions. All stainless and beautifully crafted. They are linked with Executive shaving in Scotland. Goe fatboy did a good review recently.
Stay safe buddy,
Dave.
Nice list, that charcoal though, Wowza!!!
Thanks Douglas. I hope you have a great day!
Another stellar video!
Thanks very kindly Nathan.
I have 6c and the finish is very low, go to 6s if u want a rockwell
Thanks sir!
Where do u see the vintage ones, Gillette Fatboy etc?
They wouldn’t be far off. I could have easily included the fatboy. Definitely top 15.
1.Rocnel Sailor 2020 Adjustable
2.Wolfman WR2 1.35 Ti SB
3.Wolfman WR2 1 55 SS
4.Haircut and Shave Ti P076
5. Carbon Razor ++Plate
5.Timeless Ti .95
6. Rocnel Elite A
Blackbird Vector favorite SE
Those are some good ones Andrew.
Hi Chris
I have to agree with you any razor I try I always come back to the 34 C . All around great razor .
Thanks sir. I hope you’re having a great day!
I'll probably wait a bit longer to start doing any top 10 videos, but my top razors would be Fatboy, Copper Ascension, Ambassador, GEM MMOC, ATT H1, Progress.
No sense in waiting. You've been in the game for a good while if memory serves.
I’m trying to order the game changer but my pre paid gift card keeps getting declined. But there is more than enough on it. I’ll try again later. 😕
I’ve had this happen before at certain places and I’m not sure why.
I have no real interest in the more expensive stuff. I just want something that works well and is comfortable. I was surprised how much I prefer one of my cheaper razors---the sub $20 Razorock SLOC. Your videos helped convince me to buy one. Thanks!
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that razor sir. I still own one, it’s a good shaver:)
My daily is still a merkur progress. I also still love my Parker 94R, and my Merkur 39C. I have a few others, but other to write home about. I'm a cheap SOB, so the only expensive razor I have is the original Mongoose, which I'll bust out occasionally. Maybe one day I'll spring for that Lupo or Game changer.
Those razor will work just fine sir. If it's not broken there's no reason to fix it:)
Great review
My stimulus check is gone after this video 🤣
I am split between the rockwell T and the rex ambassador, I currently have a vintage Gillette slim.
Which one would be your pock for the butterfly or adjustable?
Ps
My daily driver is a Merkur 34C
Thanks and happy new year sir
Of the two you mentioned I prefer that ambassador:)
nice list
Thanks Banocka.
Looking forward to your 2021 list, “CDB!” 😁
(BTW, hope your mom is doing 👌🏻😁)
Thanks Mike. Here's one you might enjoy: ua-cam.com/video/4pRltw72sfs/v-deo.html
My top razors are Mercur 38c, Merkur 12c, Merkur 39c, Gillette post war fat handle tech, and Gillette Fatboy
Nothing wrong with those sir:)

Thanks so much brother. Merry Christmas to you as well.
Top 5: Mergress Adjustable, Merkur 34c, My 1985 birth year Black Beauty, Merkur 38c Barberpole, Delta Echo plated Fat Boy.
That's a very solid list Freddy. Thank you sir.
1) Gillette Slim Adjustable
2) Razorock Gamechanger .68
3) Rockwell 6C/6S
4) Above The Tie R1
5) Razorock German 37 slant
Excellent choices there EJ. I hope you have an excellent day!
Great Video, my top 5
Rex Ambassador
Karve C.B. Razor, SB C or OC B plates
Rockwell 6C Gunmetal
Mulhe R89T 2 pcs
PAA Select Accession DOC Stainless Razor
Here are the razors I would like to add to my den
Timeless Stainless
Edwin Jager 3one6
Razor Rock Game Changer
Very solid choices there sir!
👍 list
May I add (from my own list) ikon b1 classic
That’s a nice old school razor. I owned many iKon razors but currently don’t own any. I kinda regret it to be honest:)
@@IAMCDB love it.. unlike the other tech versions (I myself got 3: RR DE1, Lord tech version & a vintage Gillette) it's way more on the aggressive / efficient side while still nice & smooth
@@firecured1701 Very nice. I never enjoyed the original Gillette Tech as it was a little mild for my taste.
@@IAMCDB only tech I enjoy is the ikon.. maybe the RRDE1 a little😢
@@firecured1701 The iKon version really brought it. It certainly was not mild:)
Karve C Plate
Timeless .95
RazoRock GameChanger .84
Parker Variant
Edwin Jagger 3one6
Excellent choices there brother. I hope you have a great day!
Nice selection! For me, 2020 was the year of experiments. Bought a 6c, KingCGillette, a Parker 60R an a Henson.
The Henson an KcG are by far my favorites.
Awesome sir. Those are some nice choices. Have a wonderful day.
My number 1 Razor of 2020 is the Damascus Steel, Carbon razor! Too rich for my blood tho, i'll NEVER own one, and i'm ok with that! 😁👍🏼 But id love to own one tho...
That's a little pricey for me as well:)
Some List 😳😳. Stay Safe and Enjoy the Holidays 🎄🎄...............💦💦🦑🦑
Thanks GSM! I appreciate it sir.
Envoy>Ambassador! 🤣🤙🏻
It could be, time will tell:)
My top list is as follows:
1. Fatboy
2. Slim adjustable.
3. Gillette Sensor Excel (yes cartridge, I know, anathema, still the best head shaver bar none)
4. Gillette tech (The Kalashnikov of DE razors. Will perform anywhere, any time, under any conditions, with any blade).
5. Everything else.
Excellent choices there sir!
Hello Master shave? Big Dude Barbus. Top scent After shave lotion nothing? Barbus big Dude is fantastic fragrance I know not only different After shave lotion. Thank you for your support.
Thanks sir. I do have barbus active with me while I’m traveling. I’m sure we’ll see it soon.
@@IAMCDB Only question before told me you are happy Barbus. Thank you.
@@dzangistamelonne2756 yes sir, I am. I enjoy using it which is why I always try to bring it when I travel.
@@IAMCDB Send you new package ok. Next time. Thanks again Man.
🤘😃🤘
Thanks so much Matti, have a Happy New Year!
I just recently won a bid on what I like to call the Merkur 34C 2-peice opencomb. I was the only one that bid on it for $26 +Shipping!!!
💈😁👌🏻 💈 not a lot of people have heard of it. it’s actually called the 11c , and from what I heard and the research that I’ve done that it’s been out of production for over 20 years. So that would make it pretty rare.. also in my 3 1/2 years of traditional WetShaving I’ve never seen one in a SOTD or even talked about for that matter
I don't think I've ever heard of that one Mike. I hope you enjoy it brother!
