I just found your videos. I graduate from nursing school in a year. I'm pretty much sure that I want to do Pediatrics or NICU. You make it look so fun and I know it will be. Can't wait!!
You can do it! But just know that it is not always easy and fun. But if you love what you do, it makes the hard days worth it. Good luck to you in your future endeavors. Hope you find my other nursing videos helpful as well. Lots more content coming your way.
I'm a NICU chaplain and I geeked out when you gave the chaplain a shout out haha. I love your videos because they are educational and very real, but also of course professional. You make me smile with your passion for nursing!
Omg thanks so much for what you do. Our patients abs families love our chaplain and so do I. I don’t think people realize how much healthcare is multidisciplinary and how much we rely on each other. It’s not just about the doctors abs nurses it’s about all. Thank you for the support and kind words 🥰🥰🥰
@@jeneansjourney this made me tear up! Yes, we are all in this together! I learn so much from my patients too and I love my work because it demonstrates the power of the human connection every day! In this life, we are never alone and we need each other! Team work makes the dream work!!
Yay yay I was pushing for us to have a milk tech when I was a full time NICU nurse but never got one. Love you guys for making our jobs smoother and congratulations you will do fine just know it’s lots of hard work but you can make it through with hard work and motivation
Love you DITL videos !!! I can tell you are very passionate in what you do and it makes me so hopeful as a new nurse to have and keep the same passion! Thank you for what you do for our tiny friends
All of your videos are so informative! I’ve got 2 years left in my BSN and can’t wait to be like you someday! Hoping to work in L&D, NICU, or peds :) btw I love your attitude 💖💕
So short story time I worked in the adult icu after dealing with COVID it made me discouraged to become a nurse because I thought I couldn’t handle everything that comes with the icu but this video gave me so much hope that I’ll make a good nurse
I was a pediatric nurse prior to switching over to the NICU. I realized that after working as a NICU nurse for a year that I missed working with the bigger older babies and kids. I love being a pediatric nurse and love interacting with the kids and their parents.
I aspire to be a nicu nurse cuz im really interested in peds & maternal health but I volunteer at the largest children’s hospital in my city & I absolutely love working with the older kids (toddler age) theyre SO much fun to play with but they will wear u out 😂
You can do both if you like. I worked full time as a Pedi nurse and PRN as a NICU nurse. It is definitely doable. I had the same interest as well, babies, maternal health, and kids. I worked as anL&D nurse and OB/GYN nurse and loved them both. but just love peds more The great part about nursing is you can do it all and see what sticks
I tried them both and realized I like the pediatric population better. I thought I would love nicu which I did but liked the interaction and variety of the pediatric population better.
Loved this video. Very informative. You're so inspiring 💗❤ You may have already done a video on your nursing journey (I'm new here to your channel so I'll go check) but just wanted to know how long you've been a nurse? Also what route did you take? Did you go straight into being an RN or what? Hope to hear back 🙏
I've been watching a bunch of NICU nurse vlogs but haven't run into any that also do peds too! So thank you for vlogging about this!! I've been interested in having a prn peds job once I'm comfortable in my NICU nurse shoes...if you happen to see this, is it hard to land a peds prn job as a NICU nurse??
You are welcome! No not really, you can ask if you can float to NICU on your low census days in Peds and then you could ask if they need you prn. Thats what I used to do, sign up for shifts as needed in NICU after I started floating to the NICU
Representation Matters!!!! Great video very inspirational!!!!
Thank you and I definitely agree it is very important.

You are so pretty! I enjoy your vids.
Awww thanks 😊
What made you switch from NICU to PICU? & which unit do u like better?! Def want to be a NICU nurse w/ the hopes of becoming a PNP one day!

I think your still an amazing NICU RN ❤️
Awwww 🥰 thanks nana 😘
How did you know which one you cared for more? I am so conflicted between peds or NICU for my capstone!
I tried them both and realized I like the pediatric population better. I thought I would love nicu which I did but liked the interaction and variety of the pediatric population better.

@@jeneansjourney Thank you so much for replying and I hope the NP life is treating you well!!
How many babies do you get in NICU?
You get 2-3 depending upon the acuity. But most places 2
😚
Why at the beginning it looks like she’s driving so fast😭.
Because the video was sped up lol
