Having great pace is everything. I'm not a fan of Redbull but I can't see them having any problems at Monaco. They will just adjust the car setup, to suit the circuit.
It's almost as if they broke the costcap last year, hang on a minute..... I wonder if they'd managed to make a such competitive car without doing so. I guess we'll never know lol
I'm really impressed by Red Bull, they just "got it right". Adrian Newey shows that he's truly a genius. While the car is obviously not perfect especially due to the anti dive and anti squat issues, they obviously have a very good understanding of the regulations if they decided to take that compromise. I'm also especially impressed that the car has better development potential than the others, something that apparently the other teams underestimated. 💯
I think as you mentioned the Red Bulls are extremely aero efficient so they can afford to pile on the downforce with less penalty than other teams. This may help the front locking we saw in Aus because they had to slacken off the downforce for the long back straight. No need to do that here, they can go all out on it with an extremely aggressive front wing. It may also help get heat in to those tyres sooner. Will be interesting to see, although I would definitely love a mix up of positions.
I’m more confident in Ferrari than Aston, but not by much. Both teams have good qualifiers and in Monaco, the field is pretty neutralised in terms of performance.
The opposite for me because even if Leclerc somehow manages to qualify first, I fear Ferrari would throw away his win chance again by some strategic error.
@@TheJokerit19 id say leclerc is the favorite for pole. over one lap, you could argue he is faster than even max but his consistency is nowhere near. ferrari has actually been pretty solid this year so far in terms of strategy. i would definitely not expect a strategical blunder from them.

I’m expecting Aston to be particularly quick, in the aero side of things the Aston has been quickest there, we’ve seen every race in the track dominance Aston has been able to keep up with rb in corners, and we’ll see later on when rb starts hitting their penalized wind tunnel time that Aston will begin to hopefully pull farther ahead in cornering speed and I expect (pray) that Aston by next season can be really strong in the top of the field.

Alonso feels no pressure to win while Charles does. To date Ferrari and Charles have not responded well to the pressure and advantages that Monaco affords their car. So for a none Red Bull winner I will choose Aston Martin and Alonso. It’s as good a pick as any.
I remember him doing a Rosberg and going off on purpose to bring out yellows so he could ruin th chance of anyone beating him. Did the same thing at Baku last year as well and it's crazy he didn't get a penalty either time.

But cars are so big and heavy I don’t see much happening at the front
No it's not because of the new Regulations are better suited for Aidien Neweys Aero expertise that makes the RB18-9 stuck to the ground in which Monaco is all about downforce.
I feel confident that the Mercedes update is designed to make it more aerodynamically stable. Otherwise they wouldn’t run the risk of bringing it to Monaco. The anti dive front suspension however is more of a gamble in my totally layman world.
I think people are seriously undermining RB here. Even when RB was less dominant in 2022, only Ferrari could challenge run for pole in Monaco. I don’t think this will be an easy pole as people think.
