What a beautiful trip! I can feel the shoulder pain from the headwind paddling. Nonetheless, stunning weather and scenery. Cheers to you, Cierra, Skeeter and the chickens!!
That was a serious trip! Here I am feeling good when I paddle 3/4 mile across a lake in a stiff headwind, while you guys are doing that for two days straight fully loaded with gear while crossing miles of trails too 💪
Your trip brings back vivid memories of my YCMA summer camp in Kenora (Northern Ontario, Canada) back in the early 80's. After one night at Camp Stephens (an island in the Lake of the Woods), we left to do a 14 day canoe trip paddling on average 33 miles/day with dozens of portages. We had preserved food for about half of our meals, with the other half being caught right out of the lake and so we ate walleye almost everyday & loved it! And when we were thirsty, it was always water straight out of the lake. Between the amazing fishing, the beautiful scenery including waterfalls and wildlife sightings, & always falling asleep to the sounds of loons, it was some of the best memories of my life. I guess they call it God's Country for a reason. Looks like you & Jeff had blast. Seen a couple rods in the back of your canoe, & only hope you had a chance to get your lines wet as there had to be some trophy pike in Frost River. Thx for sharing!
When I was young I had a Herters Wilderness canoe. It had an extruded Keel on it which made it much easier to go through White Caps and strong winds. However it was very heavy you couldn't really Portage it. You are blessed with an adventurous life.
Great video! Four family members had gotten the permits, food, etc. to spend a week canoeing in Boundary Waters when one of us was diagnosed with cancer. We had to cancel our trip in order to start treatment. We were so disappointed. Later, two of them did get to go.
Unbelievable adventure you and Jeff took, I was a little surprised no fishing. So happy you got to do it. Thanks, Kyle, for showing us this. Happy to hear running water for you both in Cabin.
That was incredible, the scenery was spectacular! I think your right about the moose, it probably fell and broke a leg or something, so unfortunate, such a majestic animal! Thanks for taking us along on this beautiful journey! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Thank you Kyle for sharing your trip You both looked like you had a fantastic time So remote but so beautiful Glad you and Cierra will be getting running water to help out at your homestead Take care and see you in next video
Love you Kyle - that was awesome! I had to watch this video with a dictionary in hand lol. So many terms I didn't know! I'm smarter now, but not by much ha ha. Thanks for a great trip, a hello to Jeff to! Big thumbs up 👍👍👍
Greetings from Northeast Ohio. Thank you Kyle. This was amazing. Great video. I watched Shawn James and Joe Robinett do what you’re doing. You’re taking me somewhere I could never go. Thank you again
Great trip. Was in that area in 2009 and added the louse river on after the frost river. You gotta do that!!! The funniest part was when you got to a portage and said you guys were gonna have a biscuit. I just thought that was funny and kinda sounded historic. I think the voyageurs ate biscuits.
I can’t imagine how tired you must be in between the lakes that you have to portage. Its good that you are not alone in the wilderness. Its not one to do alone in case there is an accident. I’m sure cell service is not available. Looks like you had fun and its one thing off your bucket list. Take car and be safe until your next video. (Judy NB)🌲🇨🇦
Great job Kyle. I think the Moose did go off the cliff. Might have been chased or maybe just lost it footing. Today going down the GFT from our log cabin, my wife and I saw a Moose a wolf and a deer. got the trifecta for the day. Moose was a yearling and just took its time in front of us eating. Really enjoyed the ride in the canoe with you. Your videos enlighten us. Keep up the great work!
You are so right about pictures not showing the true awesomeness of the adventure! The video in POV was like we were right there with you. It's just not as strenuous for us! lol! Definitely not something for wussies to attempt. Glad you had a great time! Thanks for the video!
Kyle that was a brilliant trip my only regret is not being fit enough to come over from the UK and take such a trip with you and but I'd slow you down and the portage that was a bit boggy ect I'd never would have made it up ot with the wheelchair I'd have to take with me. So I'm glad I canwtch it instead. Hahaha
One key observation I made was you didn't need a mosquito net hat and only swatted at them 2 or 3 times. I'm thinking it was the Mullet that intimidated them, so you can let Jeff know that little tidbit of information. Another thing is by watching this video I'd have a REALLY hard time of not finding a place in there tucked way back in the woods to make a permanent dwelling.
Oh boy you and a buddy had a good time. That's great. Well here's my tip. Use Vicks vapor rub for nat's and Skeeter's. It works great . small jar goes along way. Try it out and let me know. #2 get your drinking water up stream b4 the dead moose. Lol. #3 your already doing. Enjoying the good life. Someday we ll meet and have good story's to share. Let me know when you guys come my way. We can b.s. maybe do lunch. Great bid keep them coming
This is cool. No fishing? Just traveling? Thanks for sharing this with us. My self, son, daughter in law, and son in law are going in to basswood thru moose lake end of July. Very excited.
Kyle this video is awesome. My buddy and I did the frost loop in reverse may 2021 so it is cool to see video from the loop. What is crazy is we also saw a dead moose on the same lake but that was over a year ago! I don’t know if it’s possible it was the same one or something wierd going on in that lake. I’ve got pictures of it. Any way, awesome trip glad to see you suffer through its beauty as well!
We came upon a dead moose in quetico on the falls chain a couple years ago floating in the lake. 2 weeks from ice out. Figured it went through the rotting late spring ice crossing the lake and couldn’t get out. We are going again next spring although haven’t decided on a route.
The beauty of Minnesota. I love my home state. Thank you Kyle and Jeff for sharing your trip with all of us.

Nice to see Jeff again, Kyle get him to talk it up a little. Great stuff guys.
If I wasn't sure before, I am now. You are Daniel Boone reincarnated. Absolutely loved this video. You even threw in a little homor.
I'm exhausted just watching this. Lol.
Great video! Looked beautiful except for the dead moose.... lol
Sweet trip and video. I just got back from The Little Isabella River EP. I’ll be back up in Ely and headin out of Moose in August.
Niiiiice..... great video especially for the hubby to watch on Father’s Day!!!! Good for you and your buddy meeting the challenge! Keep it up!!
Thanks Cindy!
I spent 3 weeks canoeing around the Boundary Waters with friends in the early 1970s. It all looks so familiar - the rocky portages, the wind & rain.
I think the moose froze in the water from the winter. Beautiful area. 👍👍😊
Wait, I thought that is a four day trip! Fantastic video sir. Have been here from the beginning. Congrats on the 100,000 subscribers.
Always something good going on with you....

Magnificent area. Been there many times myself.

Wow, Leaking Moose poop. I didn't know that there was such a thing.

Maybe it was an old moose? It's time was up? Hoping for the best. Thanks for sharing that beautiful area with us. :)
Good stuff
Fun video
Awesome! But, there's no way I could make that trip without fishing. It would've taken me twice as long.
We came upon a dead moose in quetico on the falls chain a couple years ago floating in the lake. 2 weeks from ice out. Figured it went through the rotting late spring ice crossing the lake and couldn’t get out. We are going again next spring although haven’t decided on a route.
AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video!
Awesome
