- Cierra is gone for a week so I made another trip to the remote off grid log cabin. I brought the chickens with me because I had no choice. We have no way to keep their water from freezing. #offgrid #homesteading #cabin

It’s great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Grateful that you show what a responsible caregiver is! Knowing when, Skeeter has had enough cold, taking the chickens with you, giving them a fine, comfortable set up even when it means extra work for you! They even show their appreciation with gifts of eggs.

I would, along with my mother and sisters, visit my grand parents on their farm. I couldn’t really settle in until I saw their one legged chicken. As soon as we reconnected I knew it was all ok. Great journey for your chickens…well done…stay warm and safe…

Great video!! You must be close to the Canadian border. I did not know we had moose here in MN. How exciting! The sound of the snow as you walk speaks to how brisk it is. Love the winter for the same reasons. Plus NO bugs! You, your beloved Skeeter, and the chickens all having winter fun.❤️❤️❤️
The Moose have been in decline in Minnesota for a while, a few reasons... 1) Brain worm carried by deer - deer were not traditionally so far north but, the warmer weather and the habitat edges created by roads/development are prime for deer. 2) Predation by the rebounding wolf population. 3) Winter ticks with the warmer weather have caused Moose to have more tick load through the winter. 4) Fire suppression over the last hundred(?) years had led to less edible vegetation.

You are such a nice person to keep your chickens mobile. I can't imagine being in -10 degree weather. Here in SC if it hits 18 we are all scared that we can't crank up our cars. I was in Florida for Christmas. (Lakeland)
As long as "Skeet" has a good (and warm) time with Dad, that's all that matters!
Couple of days, it's sounds like week and a half or 2. Stay warm and safe. Super cold temperatures in western Canada -40- -50°C. -40°C=-40°F. Burr. That's Hot water cold. When hot water thrown into the frigid air can't hit the ground. Thanks Kyle.

It's an awesome way to be a "bachelor" for a few days! I think it's great that you didn't leave the chickens behind, most would've, but you did what you wanted to do and accepted that responsibility. Kudos!! The loggers know your car? Did you buy property from the people they're logging for, or! You mentioned another cabin build. Love ya'll ❤
You're doing a great job with your adventures! Taking the chickens out there with you was like bringing your food source along. Having a remote cabin and an off-grid homestead is a true adventure in life! No boring or mundane routine, that's for sure! Working for your relaxation is a good practice. Proves to yourself that you're not "entitled". Just doing what you're doing proves it to me and the rest of the world that you're not entitled. Yup....minus 30 F is not fun....when i lived in Vermont we had a few -30 weather...putting a light bulb near the car engine helped a bit...😁...You all stay safe and warm up there...thanks for the video 👍
