  • This film captures some of the most remarkable natural history sequences ever recorded and goes behind-the-scenes with filmmakers and cinematographers to hear the stories of what it takes to become a voyeur in the natural world. We follow filmmakers Carol and Richard Foster in the caves of Belize as they try to capture images of bats, Tom Mangelsen in the frozen tundra of Churchill, Manitoba wrapping up his ten-year shoot on his polar bear film, and Anton van Munster through the wilds of the Serengeti.

I agree with Jacquelyn that this is a work of talent, but I have to say that there are more effort, time loss and frustration that comes with such work, so my respect and gratitude for all those who made this 50 mints documentary ; .
The show is pleasing to the eyes and remains both entertaining and educational .
    Thank you all

thank you for sharing this! I really enjoyed watching this. It comes as no surprise to me that these people are passionate about nature, but how far they are willing to go to get that shot is just extraordinary!

Sending love to Carol Foster. Not only is she still battling Multiple Sclerosis, but Richard was murdered in 2018. I hope she is well and able to find happiness and peace.

I decided to look up the photographers since this seems filmed in the 80/90s. Since then, they are all incredibly well-known, successful, and advocates for conservation
Carol Foster still has MS, lives in the US. They had a studio in Belize. Richard Foster was robbed, executed, murdered in 2021 while working in Belize on a film. They seemed so close, I'm so sad to read what happened.
Derrick and Emily (are still alive) and were impaled by a water buffalo in 2017 😨
I'm sure there is more, above all, they're all very successful, no one's really retired. it was very cool to see from them to now.
