I ask myself ‘how the hell does D keep on going’ on every video. His breakdown of how he keeps moving forward was great- I think if he just came across as a machine who can just keep churning the work out I’d have been way less impressed than him saying ‘it’s hard and I do struggle- and I don’t always succeed’. I watch these videos because I am somewhat in awe of D’s journey and I’m willing him to succeed!
It's Sunday, and I'm in the kitchen watching This is Ashville after church, whilst cooking Sunday dinner. I usually watch this in the evening. Nice to see everyone is a bit more upbeat 😊🙏🏾
The whole segment in the car where you are spitting facts is I would say my favourite parts in those Asheville episode man, the way you talk about the day to day struggles of owning a company and the work you gotta put in man let me tell you, it feels great to be able to say " I'm not the only one, the is the right path " (got a definitely smaller company than you but still counts) Thanks Dan you are a real one
Every Sunday I look forward to your latest vlog. I am retired but like you, I like trains and big equipment. I think your 4 hour video unloading your train will be a success. I have a 75” TV which shows off your equipment (in the yard) well. Keep it up. From the East Bay of San Francisco in Danville, CA. I wish you much success.
"This is the life I chose " Is what I tell myself every time I start to complain you got to push through it my boi one day maybe not tomorrow but one day it will all be worth it
Lots of advice and lots of room for improvement comments. I think your business is pretty much spot on . The only thing I see is expansion and growth of The Ashville Group . Ashville would be welcome on the south coast 👍
First week working my own business after 100 weeks of inspiration watching Weekly. Thanks for showing us the ups and downs of entrepreneur life. Too many just show the flashy side of things.
Can we please just take a moment of appreciation that most of us get to watch this in bed Sunday morning. Meanwhile, Dan has probable been up 4 hours slaving away working on the next episode.
I like that when a member of Daniels team say's nah we're not moving this or that Daniel actually listens rather than say no this is how i want it done great boss 💯💯
For the boot brush, I recommend an acid wash brush, all plastic very solid looks like a big tooth brush, ridged bristles lasts forever, won’t rot and very cheap 👌
@Ashvill : One small suggestion IMHO for your staff drinks/food area is to shelf raise the Microwave to chest height to create even more table top space 😎
Daniel, your a inspiration , as a self employed person , not far from your premises in w4 can be hard at times with only me and the missus- whenever I need a boost , man I just watch you in action, I’m even prouder to see this daniels constant persistence whatever life throws at him - like me his parents are from 🇱🇨! Big up D -
Sunday mornings no longer have cartoons on TV it's all about the Ashville weekly the kids don't even complain I think they actually like it the youngest definitely enjoys the lorry's trains and digger's
If you get mixer trucks.. taking cubes at the batching plant is a pain in the ass, unless a wet batch plant. If dry batch you need extra mixing tine after loading, plus the extra time and mess of getting chutes out and cleaning. Damn, I don't miss concrete one bit!
On your boot wash, get a couple of hard broom heads and bolt them upside down to the bottom rail, they won't get taken away and allows a hands free scrub on the soles of boots.
Hey. Great work you do. Follow you every week. You boost me driving my own company with 4 lorrys in Sweden. One thing that I think is a bit "overkill" is the bag-machine. The company I drive at just have a buckle with handle so he hang one bag and then drive in to the masses and then lean the buckle backwords and - tadaa - the bag is filld. In just seconds, and takes no place.
It might be a good idea to put some black and yellow paint/tape on the edges of the jersey barriers where lorries are reversing to minimise the likelihood of lorries reversing into them. May aid the banks men in being able to better determine spacing and help other drivers in the yard as the barriers are a very similar colour to the ground
Daniel, I think you should also put your A on the back of the vest and high vis jackets About the size of the text on those pillows you have there, right between the traps on your back
Daniel you've put in words, what young people now, can't comprehend..social life has to be worked and planned around work commitments. I. Blue in the face trying to explain this, to be left with the answer that I have a problem!!!🤷♂️ my question...can we get that clip widespread in the schools and colleges. Good work, always a motivation.
Really enjoyed watching the flying lesson update.Thought that the instructor's comment towards the end of the segment about continuity of training was very accurate.I found that even if you only leave it a week between lessons it takes some while to pick up where you left off.Would be great to see more of Daniel's attempts to "reach for the sky".
I've not watched you for many months. Simply as my life took a slide sideways. First watch in ages and it was neat to see you're still busy as all hell! My best from me Down Under in Middle Earth sir!
Great vid. Your drive and commitment is truly inspiring. Suggestion: Would like to see an Ashville Road Map to £50M yearly turnover in the next 5 years.
Dan, all this barriers that are gray/red and look pretty beat up and broken. Paint them all yellow/black. Will match company color and the yard will look more fresh.
‘This is the life I choose’ I doubt a UA-cam comment from a stranger will change your mindset, however, as someone who has watched since the original episode it’s commendable.
I’d love to see a more in-depth video about ur concrete testing. I live on the coast of North Carolina in the USA. I work for a civil engineering company as testing tech. I work primarily in foundational soils and concrete. We make a lot of 4inch x 8 inch cylinders and 6x12 cylinders. Additional my least favorite 6 inch x 6 inch x 20 inch beams for flexible concrete.
Keep up the good work! Have you thought about bringing in a PA or an EA to help you? I think the additional support for tasks like the posting etc would really help you in the long run.
With that many people in the office and the nature of the site, I think it might be nice to look into an air cleaner in there. You can find good once for that size room at around 120.
Have you explored the use of hopper bottom train cars on elevated track siding and radial stacker conveyor(s) to convey loose stone to discrete bunkers? This is how Rogers group in Nashville TN does it.
Daniel, when do you find the time for in-home housekeeping? Have you got a butler or full-service cleaner to sort your personal laundry and getting groceries in? You never mention having a partner/spouse yet I can't imagine when you could possibly fit in running the Hoover round your home or doing a weekly grocery run or all the usual housekeeping tasks we all need to do if you spend 7 of 7 days "in the yard" week after week.
Just wondering if the Gym is ever used on the site as it’s never mentioned anymore and wonder if that space could be used for something more beneficial?
fyi. i send a fair amount with Royal Mail, and you can actually get them to collect stuff from you these days. Occasionally costs 60p an item, but currently free I think.
Terry is hilarious 😂😂 Also, this concrete testing process is fascinating. I keep googling the things you say and I'm learning so much 👏 Can we please get a bit more content on the concrete and aggregates side of things in the future? I mean like the way you go to site and explain the work there, you could give an explanation of the concrete and agrregate work in the yard or on sites in a bit more detail. I remember you explaining it all when you started Weekly but I'm sure your work has changed massively since.
If it makes you feel any better about seeing all those McGee lorries, I drove out of my leisure centre a couple of weeks ago and watched four Ashville tippers turn up one after another to the warehouse construction.
Another great weekly, my humble opinion: 1) Michael Drunk meme has expired 2) Uniform looks Sharp, but add big logo to back (like the painter that was seen on BBC live)

Ditto!!! He always moving forward
We need a Tezza segment every weekly
Agree.
Definitely more Penfold (tezza) needed
It's Sunday and I am sitting in my bed watching Ashville weekly, Good Stuff.

This is the right path*
Daniel is the little boy who just never stopped playing with legos and trucks - talk about being authentic to the core of your being. Inspiring.
The yard is looking great. Great idea to use cement slabs. Might try that myself.
Concrete not cement
I had the 4 hour video in the background while working. Daniel, you're onto something with that 👌🏽
fighting spirit

First week working my own business after 100 weeks of inspiration watching Weekly. Thanks for showing us the ups and downs of entrepreneur life. Too many just show the flashy side of things.
Starting my week on the bright side from Florida because I get to watch Asheville
Same here watch every Sunday day morning as soon as I wake up lying in bed from orlando fl 👍🏾
Can we please just take a moment of appreciation that most of us get to watch this in bed Sunday morning. Meanwhile, Dan has probable been up 4 hours slaving away working on the next episode.
Sunday night for me and i've already done a days work before you even get out of bed mate :)
@Holden Man very good mate but I worked through this weekend
@@JoelBDUK taxman gonna love you lol
@@holdenman8850 Sounds like taxman loves you both. Because of you two, the taxman gets to right off his every meal as an expense 😂😭
@@jonnywilson9117 no mate.. taxman is paying me at the moment lol
Great episode Daniel - lots of drive and determination (and of course a touch of Michael O'D 😉)
that Michael cutaway is too funny & im in performance related work taking a small step back rather than blowing up is crucial advice W Daniel
waaaahaaayy!!!!🤣🤣
I like that when a member of Daniels team say's nah we're not moving this or that Daniel actually listens rather than say no this is how i want it done great boss 💯💯
For the boot brush, I recommend an acid wash brush, all plastic very solid looks like a big tooth brush, ridged bristles lasts forever, won’t rot and very cheap 👌
filling up on a sunday really puts it in perspective just how busy you are during the week.
@Ashvill : One small suggestion IMHO for your staff drinks/food area is to shelf raise the Microwave to chest height to create even more table top space 😎
Like a raised shelf to allow the worktop to be cleared? But terry is vertically challenged compared to D so might be an issue 😂😂
Your an inspiration for us mere mortals Daniel your level of detail is quite astounding
Love seeing the notification for a new Ashville Weekly!
Highlight of every video is the O'Donovan segment. Absolutely hilarious. I love it.
Daniel,All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy !!!
We also need some merch that says "I'm in the yard"
Money idea!
22:12 that cool new outfit walk has me creasing LOOOOL
this makes our Sundays outstanding Daniel and the team 👏
This is just what i needed, Was feeling sorry for myself for a certain reason. Then I seen the weekly. I generally was happy.
keep your chin up lad 👍
fight buddy
I woke up when AW got uploaded. No notification, no alarm. Just KNEW
If you get mixer trucks.. taking cubes at the batching plant is a pain in the ass, unless a wet batch plant. If dry batch you need extra mixing tine after loading, plus the extra time and mess of getting chutes out and cleaning.

124 and counting as a videographer your POV are brilliant on each video uploaded. yeah yeah yeah !!!!!
On your boot wash, get a couple of hard broom heads and bolt them upside down to the bottom rail, they won't get taken away and allows a hands free scrub on the soles of boots.

It's Sunday and I'm at my Yard. Waiting for this week's Ashville Weekly 🙌
Keep on going dude, you inspire so many even if you dont know it.

plus refective, for those early morning and late nights
Good idea but law states they should be red and white reflective

Enjoying and learning.
All the way from South Africa. Roodepoort
Wow!!!! That speech in the car was deep. Inspiring words

Sunday morning I’m still on shift watching ashville waiting for a liver for transplant. Hour 19 and still working 🎉
" your extracurricular, your fun, Has to work around your work commitments and your AMBITION!! Not the other way around " 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
u want to show the world how strong u are and u are daniel your a big strong boyxxxxxxxxxxx

💯 get you the Fueling up on a Sunday, preparation is key
" Moving forward by a millimeter "
No matter what you do, you're still in the game " 👍🏾
@ ASHVILLE,, U SHOULD GET A DEFIBRILLATOR TO GO BESIDE THE FIRST AID BOX
10.58 walking around the yard with no high vis. Tut tut Daniel. Somebody needs a safety conversation. LOL!
I do miss Shook You productions, hope Will is doing great wherever he is
21:09 One suggestion is to put a bit of greenery, some plants would give the offices a lighter atmosphere.
Have a good week ASHVILLE team!!!
The best way to start a Sunday! 💯🖤
‘This is the life I choose’ I doubt a UA-cam comment from a stranger will change your mindset, however, as someone who has watched since the original episode it’s commendable.
Ngl I could listen to Michael's Aka MOD and Daniels conversations... just love the banter!

One of the best yet Daniel 👍
I'm in a completely different area of business, but the possibility for cross-fertilisation of ideas from watching this is rich:)
6:00 John Smith did you dirty bro... Wiped his hooter and then wiped it on your sleeve 😭😭
how about putting a water cooler in the offcie so they have cold fresh water to drink? Might help them a bit..
We used to hold ISO9001 with BSI. Now moved as they were SOOOOO expensive but there are others out there much cheaper and just as good
Good to see the @yellowtail wine in the background in the post office. From my workplace to yours….. sorta. ☺️
That little girl
at 7:46 is having WAY MORE fun than Daniel!
Notification gang love ASHVILLE Sundays serious
A small suggestion for the office is any of the sockets around the desks don’t have usb charging points on them
Here I am on holiday in Mauritius and watching episode 124 , hooked or what , still got time to hit the 29-degree heat
That was hilarious about that info on the office wall 😂😂😂
Good morning Ashville fam.
It’s Sunday and I’m in my bed ready to watch Asheville weekly
Daniels work ethic and motivation is awesome
Just wondering if the Gym is ever used on the site as it’s never mentioned anymore and wonder if that space could be used for something more beneficial?

you are dedicated mate, coudnt imagin never having downtime, you need it for your mental health, look after yourself son.
The grind Daniel has is inspiring 🙌
Could you provide your staff, a sink to wash up in or have a plumb in hot water boiler ( to provide boiling water)
The Modern Slavery bit was jokes 😂
weekly motivation we love to see it 💙💙
Terry is hilarious 😂😂

Come on Daniel get that PPL finished. I’ve just done my first solo a couple of weeks ago and pushing to get done this year.
If it makes you feel any better about seeing all those McGee lorries, I drove out of my leisure centre a couple of weeks ago and watched four Ashville tippers turn up one after another to the warehouse construction.
It’s not easy, but do make time for quality rest time too🤗be assured that we your supporters are here supporting you. Mind how you go❤
Another great weekly, my humble opinion:
1) Michael Drunk meme has expired
2) Uniform looks Sharp, but add big logo to back (like the painter that was seen on BBC live)
For the high vis jacket I would put ashvill across the back so people will see your company easier
It's simple think like this.....WINNERS NEVER QUIT QUITTERS NEVER WIN
My favourite channel on UA-cam
We need to know, did Tezza supply the cotswold stone?
It’s the conversations between Michael and Daniel for me🤣🤣🤣
You look shattered. However, you came to life modelling your apparel….you still have the swagger😊Be kinder to yourself.❤️
