Congratulations on a fine piece of footage ! The bloke parking that massive segment made it look easier than manoeuvring a shopping trolley.
Seeing some of the parapet in place, and with a favourable light, makes you realise how much it adds to the overall beauty of the viaduct.
    Thanks for posting.

that is truly an amzing piece of civil engineering and when all the support roads and platforms are gone I think it wiull look superb. I like how they change the pier design for over water against over land.
    Nicely 'droned' mate!

It is amazing to see they've built a road alongside the new viaduct which will eventually be removed.

What a complete & utter waste of billions of pounds. Within a decade of opening (in about 50 years time at the current rate of progress), this concrete monstrosity will be nothing more than a glorified cycle path.
HS2 is an environmental disaster of epic proportions & Britain's biggest infrastructure mistake in half a century.

@@CRIMSONANT1 yes so you keep on posting all over HS2 videos. But you never offer any explanation or reasons let alone a counter argument.
So can I ask from where do you think all the extra train paths will come given the need to increase low carbon train services? Like getting freight off roads for example?

@@1chish.. it's not needed in a country the size of the UK.
Traffic on the M40 & M1 will decrease by less than 1%.
It'll have ZERO affect on domestic flights
The old "lines are at capacity" argument has been shot down in flames since the blatant corruption within HS2 Ltd has recently been exposed.
These arguments rely on a discredited, out of date forecasting model which isn't used for anything anymore except to justify the monstrous vanity project that is HS2.
Take the WCML for instance .. Network Rail's "New Lines Programme Capacity Analysis" shows that WCML capacity is kept artificially low by private operators wanting to maximise profits.
A DfT analysis shows that in peak hours leaving Euston, WCML trains were loaded at just 52.2%.
It'll be a shuttle service between west London & Birmingham & only the elite will be able to afford a ticket, (unless you're willing to remortgage your house) 🤣

Cool watching the SPMT being driven by the person in-the back of the van ( to save walking!) at 01:50, with the empty segment support going back to the concrete factory.
And also on foot at 12:00 , shame you didn’t stick around to see the next one being set down. Made transporting hundred ton segments look easy.

Great video, thanks for posting, a good impression of the whole job.
I see you have got one of the segments being moved at 11.00 to 12.00 not seen by many, I would put that up on its own.... thanks again..

Hallo Wandering Northener! Just sending greetings from me, PetertheRock, and to say, great video! Thankfully UA-cam suggested you, and I've long given up trying to understand its algorithms. Cheers, i appreciate your work!
