Great info for people needing to know these common issues with the 1-box. GHG14 and 17 are a vast improvement over the epa 10 models... I hate metering devices...
When running a doc face cleaning the software converts dpf zone lvl2 on its own when it starts the process. If you was to just exit out of a doc face cleaning 4 hour regen. It will stick in that condtion and not dose fuel on the next regular regen. So always make sure to stop the procedure and not click the x to close the screen.

The program will show you temperatures and pressures on the after treatment. But you need to know what you are looking for and what you are looking at. What are you trying to do?

El sistema de la caja tiene su harness y eso se conecta al harness que para la computadora ACM. Recomiendo que traten de usar una computadora (ACM) para probar.

Pedro Fuentes It continues to come in for “Low Nox efficiency”. When I perform a force regeneration the the Nox conversion is above 80%. The parameters look good but the intake pressure seems higher then usual.

@@robertpope3619 you can air clean doc's if doc inlet pressure is too high to run face plugging routine. We do not replace 1 boxes for doc pressure high unless a thermal event has happened.
Did you get a new or different MCM? What channel? This usually happens when a computer is switched or replaced. Tell me a little more about what kind of work has been done
How many hours to remove a 2016 DD15 one box? Can it be done in one day? I'm just curious because my truck needs a one box replacement and it only took about a day for freightliner to replace it.
The job can definitely be done in a day. Remove the One Box, assemble the new box, install it back into the truck and then program the MCM. So a day seems about right, depending on what was wrong with your box, they might need additional testing. But make sure get things in writing especially the warranty.
@@carlosberrios1021 that can be a sign of a bad one box, DPF’s. But getting it replaced is great especially under warranty. Also, ask about any software updates. Sometimes Detroit will release updates to the MCM, ACM and CPC. These updates help.
Call Freightliner (dealership, service) or call Detroit Diesel. Give them the last 6 of the VIN and ask if there any software updates available. The software update should be for the CPC, MCM and ACM.
There are a few options, it all depends on the year of your truck. There is a one piece and there is two piece sensor harness , there is harness that goes from the ACM to the One Box. Which one are you looking for?

@@jomartino1440 right now there are so many issues with back order items. Even a used CPC is hard to get. I personally don’t have one. Try your local pick a part What City are you in?
During a regen your DOc inlet pressure can be as high as 1.10 or lower. At the end of the parked regen it should be about 0.80 to 0.90. Anything higher than 1.2 Detroit will say the DOC is plugged.
@@odairtaveira5675 No, the adapter is seperate but does come with the cables. The software does require a subscription. In my opinion, the software is worth it and is a great investment, you will make your money back. Also, to work on these truck you will need the software, it will open many doors for you.
@@jomartino1440 try removing the side panel or side fairing and see if you can see any signs of soot or exhaust leaks. Sounds like there might be an issue there and also check the heats shielding and make sure it is secure
@@CarlosDieselElectric yes sir it has exhaust leaks I cleaned the DPF filter and bought a gasket and put it on and when I start the engine like is smoking steam because I clean it with waters to save money but I don’t have the computer to reset the service.
@@jomartino1440 that is the problem with water, much like when coolant gets into the system. With the heat, it evaporates and creates steam and will cause problems. Bake and clean of the DPF will cost you about $300 plus parts and labor.
There are different ways to approach a repair. I personally don’t want to have a customer come back because I decided to cut corners. If a driver is doing the repair themselves and cleaning the pipe is the best option for themselves then go for it. I prefer to do the repairs the right way and keep the driver on the road.
Hello Predro, I am having regen problems with cascadia. I have fault code 3556 1 regen teperature out of range low. I ran a rwgen and the Doc onlet presssure reading 1.65 dpf oulet .48 I was told to cleand replace DPF filters and replace SCR box. Too expensive. I watched you video and wanted to ask for you help in troubleshoting. I dont want to spend a fortune in a Scr and i am new to this and dont undestand the software i have diagnosticlink pro I does not show teoublwshooting steps for this code. Your help will be appreciated much.
It had code 4364 18 replaced scr outlet nox sensor, ran a regeen and it went away. 3556 1 Regen temperature -out of range low is the only active code now
@@jesusruiz9654 This code sounds to be just temp related, so check your 7th injector (possible exhaust blockage in the S-pipe), could be the Doser Block, DOC temp sensor, check for any exhaust leaks around the One Box (V-Clamps). Now as for the pressure being a little high, a simple parked regen might be able to clear it up. If that does NOT work then possibly a DOC face plug routine may work but save that for last. Hope this helps.

I agree. The EPA 10 isn’t my favorite, once they updated the DEF pump system it made things little easier to work on.

Tienes que revisar el alambrado que regresa al MCM. Puede ser el MCM, trata de usar una computadora diferente

The SCR can be a problem in itself. You can have a good DOC and DPF but the SCR can ruin it

Nope. Those are good numbers. Anything over 1.20 (I believe) is more than Detroit wants.
I put brand new one box and pressure is 1.56

The scr box is overheating and melt the plastic the side fairing
Check for exhaust leaks, that can cause the melting of the fairing.
What are the temperatures ?
Maybe 150 degrees the scr box is very hot, I have OTR tool I do the forced regen because the truck just run 5 miles an hour

Try performing a DOC face plug cleaning routine.this may help. But let me see I can do some research tomorrow when I get in.
