your team setup was the basically most suited for it. Ann is definitely out. A magic user in a phys-type battle is useless. Makoto over Morgana is a good choice. I dunno about phys stats, but she does go better at it. Ryuji, obviously. Highest En and Str over others, being the tank and phys attacker. Haru is dead useful! Heat Riser, Makarakarn and a multi-target gun helps. Though that triple knockdown combo by the Twins means trouble.
Yusuke can't tank and easily critted. Although he can make more damage than Makoto since he has a better Str stat that's not you. He's riskier. But more damage

It took me several times to beat The Twins. I tried taking on the The Twins by myself, but ended up loosing in five turns. Then I tried using Ann and Ryuji, but I lost in the 2nd phase. So I finally was able to beat The Twins using Ann, Yusuke, and Makoto. Its also best to stock up on healing items beforehand so that you don't waste SP healing your party. I like Haru's outfit. It's so cute.
This is basically: *_when you get to a mid boss in the final dungeon but you short on resources but there is no save point so you gotta live while saving SP_*
I think I've thought one that not even a masochist would try, Fight the twins solo, merciless, no protectors or accessories, and using the default gun and melee weapon, you also can't use the usual Yoshitsune/Kaguya strategy. however to make it within the realm of possiblity(maybe), Asides from the two I mentioned before, you have no restriction on which and how many persona's you can have and you have no restriction in their abilities, you are also allowed any items.

Samuel Murphy once you finish the game, play New Game+, whenever you get to Mementos you should see both Caroline and Justine next to the Velvet Room entrance, Caroline will have a prompt to talk to her, just talk to her and you can start this fight
I always wondered if Morgana and Ryuji never got along because there affinities for personas are exact opposites. Ryuji being weak to air and Morgana being weak to lighting meaning they can't tolerate each other well.

Look, I’m not too far into the game so I’m probably just naive, but why do people use Heat Riser instead of Thermopylae? Don’t they do the exact same thing except Thermopylae is the whole team all at once?
Thermopylae can only be used while your party is surrounded/ambushed. Admittedly, in Royal, there is a trait you can get to bypass this restriction, but there are enough better options that it's not usually something you specifically build for.
