The long-awaited sequel compilation is here! Watch "Game Grumps Predict The Future In Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" here: ua-cam.com/video/fsoM7B1n4vg/v-deo.html
Dan’s pre-trial prediction with the little “exactly” scale at the bottom of the screen ending with “and they’re all ghosts” after getting everything exactly right is the most Hiro thing I’ve ever seen in my life.
What's funny is Dan was pretty close on his prediction that the students were the ones who brought about the tragedy, he just had the wrong class in mind.
Also had that moment where Arin theorized that Kyoko may have been AI designed by the mastermind and now rebelling. They both tripped into guessing Danganronpa 2 plot points. lol
But lowkey imagine if Junko did choose her own classmates to become her Ultimate Despair. I mean she straight said she really loved her classmates yet she chose a bunch of nobodies to her?! She said she makes those she loves her personal pet projects of falling into despair so surely it should have occurred to her that making her own class Ultimate Despair instead of a group of no names to her should have been obvious but nope.
It shouldve been the first one here..... When they were meeting students for the first time, dan said in leons voice "I hate baseball" like 5 lines before leon himself said it
Okay, but the wild thing is, they're getting things right for reasons I've never even thought of. Like the RoboJustice blueprints in Hiro's room; everyone I've ever watched play this game would say "oh, that's not his handwriting" if they remembered Hiro's handwriting. I've NEVER heard someone comment on the fact that Hifumi came up with the name RoboJustice. Same with the whole "Hifumi's blood pool doesn't have wheel marks coming out of it, so he wasn't wheeled away and therefore wasn't dead" thing. It just blows my mind how they reach conclusions by noticing things that I don't think many other people notice.
I think it’s because they’re looking at it from the comedy perspective like when trying to make jokes about stuff you identify and look at you environment in a way that is different from just playing normally
@@TeraBytePlays Might I recommend the Light Novel Danganronpa Zero? Its main character is literally an Ultimate Analyist who suffers from short-term memory loss. :P

It isn't even half wrong. Honestly the only thing about that that could be more perfect is if he was saying that about Ultra Despair Girls. Side note: that game is just Resident Evil: Danganronpa, right?
I love how some of these are just the Grumps noticing clues that the writers intentionally left for observant players to pick up on, and some are the Grumps calling out common tropes for writing mysteries, but then there are some predictions that were so impossible to foresee that I can't help wondering if they read the script.
You can definitely predict it all I went through these games really analyzing the details and was able to figure most of it out before reveals were given but the way Arin in particular tries to justify things with very faulty info leads me to believe he looks up the answer and tries to work backwards to look smart it really shows with the Junko stuff in particular.

@@sacripudding4586 didn't realize Mario maker had an end. Seemed like a Mario platformer version of happy wheels to me. So the concept of "finishing" the game grumps Mario maker series kinda feels foreign to me. I love how Arin's shtick for this game was to try to act like he was a step ahead of the plot the whole time without actually paying attention to it, yet Dan more or less solved every mystery for him just by joking around. I wanna see that movie or TV series now. A mystery where two detectives just fuck around the whole time and accidentally solve the case by making fun of it 😆

Something interesting I realized while watching through this: Arin was complaining about the fact that they were jumping through hoops to figure out the weight of the glass pieces and such in order to realize there was a second bottle missing, whereas Dan figured out the obvious clue of the Knight and Queen missing. In order for it to be gaslighting, Arin would have had to know the plot of the game prior and be intentionally misleading Dan. Arin is just as surprised as Dan when his predictions come to fruition.
I was spoiled once I started watching the series with them. I kept thinking, "No way, she got impaled" so I didn't see it coming that she had a twin posing as her at least
UA-cam was like, "Hey~ saw ya liked the beginning of that long game full of plot twists and murder and that you're not even through the prologue! Wanna see how it ends?!"
I still feel like Dan's idea of coming to Alter Ego and just getting a Monokuma face instead of the Chihiro one is even better and more emotionally brutal than the physical computer getting crushed into a ball (though him making this figure that gave them hope resemble his despair side is pretty good symbolism) like what did happen
this was incredibly satisfying to watch. i love when they (lets be real, mostly dan) figure out the actual mysteries, but even the things that were just completely random guesses (like ultimate serial killer) are SO funny to see right in a row!!
They actually predicted things from V3 as well, although in the interest of not spoiling things I wont mention them. Where's the one where Dan said: "I swear to God if Sayori is hanging" *Then Chihiro's corpse is revealed!*
You forgot them going into very weird detail about butter before Mondo’s execution lol
When was that?
@@brianahodnett I watched that over a year ago, sorry I can’t recall exactly. There was just a weird part where they bring up butter, and it’s just really entertaining considering what happens next.
@@taylorjones1641 at the start of chapter 2, Arin, while voicing Sakura, says “ There’s been a lot of butter in our diet lately. “
I can’t remember which episode, but it was during one of the breakfast meetings in the beginning of chapter 2.
Arin, when Dan correctly predicts something in the game: "I'm gonna gaslight my best friend so hard right now."
almost like he's a narcissist or something...
@@calistusjay60 Gaslighting has to be intentional to be gaslighting, Arin just forgets a lot bruh
In order for it to be gaslighting, Arin would have had to know the plot of the game prior and be intentionally misleading Dan. Arin is just as surprised as Dan when his predictions come to fruition.
@@StrivedeLaLear Now Doki Doki, THAT was gaslighting
Lol so we've pretty much decided that "gaslighting" is the new hip phrase that's going to lose it's meaning from rampant misuse?
I was sure Arin got spoiled or something about Junko
Yea probably but in his defense it is very difficult to search up anything about danganronpa without seeing a crazy junko
I mean he was literally saying the opposite of every thing the game was telling him as a bit so it was bound to happen
@@lulufan100lol so damn true
I still feel like Dan's idea of coming to Alter Ego and just getting a Monokuma face instead of the Chihiro one is even better and more emotionally brutal than the physical computer getting crushed into a ball (though him making this figure that gave them hope resemble his despair side is pretty good symbolism) like what did happen
this was incredibly satisfying to watch. i love when they (lets be real, mostly dan) figure out the actual mysteries, but even the things that were just completely random guesses (like ultimate serial killer) are SO funny to see right in a row!!
Dan is the real Super High School Level Detective goddamn
I hope they'll like Gundam Tanaka
They seem to be really enjoying him so far in their playthrough of DR2!
Oh Dan grows so attached to Gundham that he actually sheds a tear during his execution, as I did as well 🥺😢
Gundham is the GOAT
26:08
I'm just imagining Dan holding his hands to his head, closing his eyes, and actually seeing the future.
2:43 "I said both things, at different times." gives off the exact same energy as Arin's "William Howard Henry Taft" thing from FireRed.
They actually predicted things from V3 as well, although in the interest of not spoiling things I wont mention them. I know most people who watched their playthrough haven't played future games and I will say it's very easy to spoil a lot of things in all of them. I suppose it's better not to include them in this video because those same people will watch this.
you can always drop the spoilers a few enter-spaces down in the comment, so they're hidden by the Read More tab.
@@tatltails3923 I dont do that because youtube is evil and sometimes straight up doesnt hide the bottom half of the comment for whatever reason. Additionally, whoever sees the comment in their notification, be it the video creator or someone I am replying to, will see the comment _without_ those spaces. They're not parsed in notifications.
@@GL_099 You would think a 15+ year video hosting site that now airs feature-length films would've implemented a spoiler tag for comments by now.
Yeah... I spoiled some info from 2. It is really was isn't it.
@@GL_099 You can always write SPOILERS and press enter a couple of times. I don't think anyone would read past that
"If Pacman showed up that'd be surprising!" Dan really gave an example of the most unlikely thing to happen and it was still a prediction
Bijuu Mike: I'm the Ultimate Intuition!"
Dan and Arin: Hold my monokuma plush
Now I just need a compilation of all the times Arin is mad at the game for his own faults
@@johnnyneutron1530 Jesus Christ the one time I come back to game grumps and there’s an allegation.
Ok is this a sexual harassment allegation or a grooming allegation.
@@johnnyneutron1530 Uh?? Do you actually think Game Grumps- the extremely loved and popular gaming UA-cam channel with tons and tons of fans, a channel over 10 years old and a whole company is going to suddently end because of mostly unproven, twisted allegations? You're really streching it there.
boi do i love people not researching their info before they go wild on the internet with accusations
@@johnnyneutron1530 did you actually look into that, or did you just hear half a fact and decided to run with it?
That would just be the entire runtime of the series
"If pacman showed up that would be hard"
...
Welcome to danganronpa.
Dan as Hiro: "Of course! Sakura killed herself!"
Dan as everyone else: "Wha- No Hiro."
Danganronpa community to Hiro: *"I agree with that!"*
Arin saying Mukuru's disguise and Junko looking the exact same was funny to me, Mukuru had freckles on her face, squinter eyes and smaller breasts. I think even Makoto noted how she looked so off from her photos and that's why Mukuru said the Photoshop thing to throw him off.
Arin: no you didn't predict the thing you said *20 minutes ago* !!!11!
1:19, I mean the immediate switch to Toko is just impeccable.
Arin's predictions are just him making jokes, but Dan's are him actually using deductive reasoning to figure it out.
"She'll blow up on you"
Oh my god that is the best one, no way you'd think that she would literally blow up on you
When they said about "Why dont they add ultimate serial killer" I looked at the camera like in The Office
This is absolutely insane seeing it all together, I went in blind with them (except until youtube spoiled stuff for me, like, after episode 1) so I'm just now realizing how much they got right
I still think Dan acquired the other 70% of Hiro's clairvoyance
Now we should get "every time arin forgets/ignores something"
it's called "Arin has adhd, here are some examples"
@@candiegray4037 look, having adhd doesnt mean its impossible to notice things or pay attention. my mom has adhd (actual diagnosed adhd) and i know for a fact she would be able to play this game just fine. its just plain ignorance.
@@KarmaTheKing it was a joke but also that's not what I'm implying tho it might seem so. Arin has said before that while he plays games, making a show is something that takes on most of his concentration and it makes for hilarious content, but also for a lot of things he misses, which I think are totally excusable but yeah, it could make a funny comp
Thats the entire playthrough
Isn't that pretty much everything that wasn't in this compilation?
I never noticed the celeste thing. It makes so much sense
the zoom in on toko's face at 1:05 was PERFECT
26:16 calling it perfectly
"AND THEN YOU'RE ALL GHOSTS!"
“I’ll die first!” is still making me cackle 2 years later
I mean I feel like 70% of these are just logical if-than deductions, but some of these are insane especially ones that relate to dr2 lol
I’m very happy I was able to watch them play danganronpa when it was coming out
The only series I cared to look at the time when it was Danganronpa day.
Leon: When I was trying to force it open to kill Sayaka, it was definitely locked!
I dunno why, but I find that one really funny XD
Dan proving he went thru college with his power of foresight
24:00 - 24:17 - this is legit *just* like the "secret" doors, and panels, etc from Scooby Doo, how you could *immediately* tell something was there because it was a slightly different shade of color than the rest of it
i'm the dingdongbingbong boy
There's a point where Arin spoils the Junko twist for himself and you can tell.
Yeah its pretty disapointing
@@personneinexistante8413 tbf on him it’s hard to avoid especially if you’re looking stuff up about the game which I assume he was
@@pickledidiot4569 he definitely was, about halfway through you can tell he started using a walkthrough. understandably so, though. he said it was a spoiler free one but it definitely seemed like he knew what was happening in a couple episodes, which was lame
“they got dumbbells upstairs!” was absolutely insane
the funniest part of this is that the video is 30 MINUTES LONG.....
