Probably it is a good idea to mention that behind those titles there are a lot of failures and previous experiences making smaller projects by the developers. I teach game design and it's a common mistake to think you will able to hit this success cases where there are hundreds and thousands of games and studios that didn't make it yet after years of hard work.

@@Gaminboi2864 it totally depends, if this game is important for you in a deeper way I think it's better to make smaller projects with things, features and mechanics you could implement later in your dog's game but if this game is only to learn to use RPG maker then go ahead!

Really nice games, the quality of graphics is really outstanding. I myself am working in Unity alone since February and after just 1-2 months of tutorials, I started on my dream game mobile action RPG Dungeon Ward and i am creating it for the last 8 months already. It is a pleasure and hard work too. So who wants to make games in Unity, don't be scared, it just takes time and logical thinking.

Hey guys, I only just discovered your channel earlier tonight and I just want to say I'm loving your videos so far. Your aesthetic and calm visual style reminds me of Kurzsgesagt(spelling?) and I love it. My only problem is with the bit in your intros where you say "aka" and then list off silly phrases, it genuinely annoys me (probably thanks to Scott from HQ) but maybe it's just me. I'm sorry if my english is bad, I just want to give u suggestions for your next video, some comment, and a question for u.
Well for suggestions, can u create a video about where is the great way to release indie developers game? I just knew about "Gamejolt" and "Itch.io". I interested about Itch.io's features and already registered. Oh! And don't forget to tell us about their features or maybe which games got famous from there.
For the comment, I can't believe that Getting Over It in the list, to be honest I don't like those game (anyway I just watched it in UA-cam) but maybe because I didn't try it so I don't know about those game in 100%. Yeah! Overcooked is fun to play, maybe when I was kid I usually played "Time Management" games and I think Cuphead looks fun to play.
Finally to my question, I think my english is bad and I love to write story in my game. I scared that my game will get bad rating cause bad language, am I right? So, will you give me tips how to improve my english? I learning it by Listening to the song and watch game which have story like "The Walking Dead" Series now.
Oh.. and sorry because I didn't subscribe you for now but I get interested to your channel and watched some videos. Maybe I will change my mind soon.
Keep up the good work! And sorry for my long comment

I wanted to ask, is it possible for the game market to crash again like it did 1983? As the market is now getting over saturated ? Or is it impossible because of the flexibility of consoles, phones and PCs.
The word possible/impossible is wrongly used here as anything is possible in the game market but you know what I mean.

@@AskGamedev hi guys! I'm actually learning how to do pixel art and I am a video game developer in progress, I'm really focusing on what I need to do and what I need to learn, i just found you guys, I will take a look at all your videos, i don't know if you already make a video from this topic but maybe it would be cool if you guys make some videos about, for example if I want to make a certain type of video game which programming language would be better? Which software can be use to create video games art such as pixel art or any type of art. Thanks for answer me and again thanks all of you guys for your hard work and sorry if I made a mistake I learn English by myself (By playing videogames)
      Have an amazing day!

Great suggestions Paolo! Right now we don't have any pixel art tutorials, but we do have a few videos on art assets (ua-cam.com/video/LNgMI7GPy5A/v-deo.html) and art programs (ua-cam.com/video/tp_10g-desg/v-deo.html). We get requests for pixel art tutorials a lot though, and so it might be the right time to make one :)

WOW! I didn't expect you to answer, you're so cool. And I think Freeze! 2 and hanger are good games, but I actually made this question because I've been using it since more than 1 year ago, but i'm very insecure about making a game in that engine, because it doesn't support any gaming console and it doesn't convince me to publish at steam with it, so I don't know what do you think about using it or changing to other engine like unity. Thank you btw!

Why is the video titled with [2018] ??? Going in I had a feeling you were talking about games RELEASED in 2018 only, yet only an "honorable mention" is actually a 2018 release game.
Yes, the games you are naming are great, but the title seriously misled me. The only 2018 thing about this video is that it was released in 2018. Also, that was a long intro.

Heya, I would like to ask you for something. I would like to start with learning to code in Unity and start learning how to create some figures in it. But when I would like to start, I always remember that hard work what I would get If I would start that project. So, how to start with Unity? Is it okay to be afraid that your game won't be perfect as you wish?

Unless you are extremely smart and lucky, you are going to make many bad games before you get a success, many you won't even release. If you doubt your marketing skills, there are many videos about it on UA-cam, and you can publish on Itch.io for free.
