@@gamerbruh7346 Yeah. They also made Darkseid and Doomsday from the Injustice games. I hope they make classic comic version of the Justice League though.
I think the Figuarts is more on the classic Street Fighter style, just look at Akuma for example. So I'm okay with both Figuarts having a more animated, classic style and Storm having a more modern, HD game style. Different strokes for different folks. The only thing I wish was that Storm was in the regular 6" scale, it's more 7", but I like them both for what they are.
but sh figures akuma isn't the nostalgia skin, the one in the game has the black belt and his gloves are the classic brown ones from street fighter 2, 3, etc....but the shfiguarts uses ropes as both gloves and belt...like in street fighter iv so, yes Sh figuarts are kinda like a mashup or a generic street fighter line which is something i really like
I find these too big as well, would love to get samurai showdown figures in future but they're way too tall to put with other figures. Nakoruru would be taller than batman. :/
I was going to pass this one originally, since I have the figuarts one, but now I'm seriously reconsidering. I'm one of those collectors who doesnt mind having multiple figures of the same character. I dont have one that "goes on the display shelf," and one that goes into storage.
Great review, and I may get this Chun Li figure now. I wasn't sure about the face, but it looks better than I was hearing from others. I have a thought that maybe if one of the faces had her eyes opened wider, it would look more like her SFV design to people. But this sold me.
I give it a 9/10. This figure is so bad ass. The wrist joint stinks that it's so flimsy but only enough to take away one point. May be you can buy a replacement peg. I know companies sell replacement pegs, just need to find one that fits. Great review. Great figure for Street Fighter fans to collect.
Thank you so much for this review! I've been waiting for it since yesterday. I'm really excited after watching your review and can't wait to get mine. The joints seem to be something which SC need to R&D and improve on. I don't want to crack one while meddling with mine. However, I do feel worry with squeaky joints especially at knee and sometimes elbow. If it is not too much, maybe you can share your experience and safety measure in playing the figures in the coming videos? That would really benefit us. Again! Love your reviews & keep it going!
I like it a lot. This line is awesome. No way i can afford to get all of the ones i want though.. Glad you pointed out the scale issue.. Its manageable though.. SFV is my favorite character design for Chun Li. Her face is a bit off but not bad. Hopefully Cammy turns out good if she comes around
Damn, you convinced me to get this. I didn't want 2 Chun Li figures, but this one is so much more detailed than the SHF version. I WILL get the SHF Akuma instead of the SC one, I don't care for Akuma's lion mane in SFV.
Fantastic review Anthony!!! She turned out better than expected and I'm definitely going to have to pick her up. The only reason I can see for the extra clamp is to help with stability in some poses although I don't think she needs it...
The more anime design of the SHFiguarts definitely had me a tad disappointed, as the SFV look for Chun Li has to be my favourite out of any single SF video game, so Storm Collectibles scratching that itch is a blessing. That, and the face did look a tad stiff and lifeless in the promo shots, but here it's far better which is a relief. Add on top of that the engineering and design decisions I simply can't wait to receive mine. Now with SC having the Tekken license they just need to do Asuka and I'll be content.
Thanks for reviewing this one. I love this line. I don't get many figures, but two I want this year are the Storm Collectibles Chun Li, and SH Figuarts Tenshinhan slated to come out later this year. Chun Li looks especially good. Face sculpt is awesome.
I prefer the anime look, the only little issue that Storm one seems to have is the nose, the sculpt have something weird compared to the CG in-game model IMO. Great review as always :)
damn... Ive been looking forward to this figure and I do like this figure, but I do not like the faces(eyes specifically). Chun Looks like she is either: Sleepy, bored, or high(just paint the sclera of the eyes yellow and she's high, lol) While its not a deal breaker for me, it's gonna bother me in the long run.... And she's taller than I thought she'd be...same height or just a bit taller than Ryu??? No sir. Damn...idk. Might just have to stick with the Figuarts Chun Li(which I do love, except the skin tone is too pale to me). I don't mind the anime look, cuz personally the past few SF game art styles(SFIV-SFV) make alot of them look ugly to me, so I don't really want face sculpts based on that art. I got Storm Ryu, and may get Chun Li and if they make a "classic' Akuma its being copped, but other than those 3, Ill take the SF figuarts over Storm's versions. Their MK line is ON POINT though!!
ULTIMATEbudokai3 I think the Ryu figure is taller, he had them side by side while holding them and Ryu is not standing all the way straight. If you look at the measurements on his review for Ryu, you can actually tell that he is taller. Plus, he should have stand them side by side on a flat surface.
i hope they make training costume chun li with storm the one with the leg weights designed by akiman or maybe professional chun li and of course swimsuit chun li
i like the face, she looks like she should like an older chinses woman. which is what she is. by this point in time she is nearing 30 which is the best version of chun li. the should have a laughing head though
are the wrist joints really broken or are they like the ones for the VAH? where the balls are split in the middle to allow for up/down movement. oh my bad i though what you meant were the hinges lol
I like these Storm Collectibles except their prices are beginning to become troublesome for me. I have the Ryu Storm but Ryu & Chun Li SHF. And if the Storm Collectibles Akuma doesn't lower in price, I'll pass and just get the SHF Akuma even though I was getting it either way.
I think the criticisms about the face were less about how hard or soft the sculpt is or how feminine it looks but that it looks like her eyelids are unusually droopy. Like she's dazed or drunk or something. At least that's how its come across in the released pictures thus far. Hopefully its less noticeable in person.
Not seeing that SC's Chun is ACTUALLY based in SFV's aesthetics while SHF's Chun isn't would be just plain dumb. There's no discussion there. Having said that, I do think Storm Collectibles Chun slightly screwed up on her face, making her look either bored out of her mind/older/unattractive...you name it. There is something in SFV's art style and the way it uses shadows, contrast and facial animations that SC could not replicate. I'm personally way more fond of how Chun Li looks in Street Fighter Alpha, the animated movie from the 90s or even SFIII so to me, SHF Chun Li is a better option. I also think it has better QC and knees, but that second thing is highly subjective. I can see people digging the SC one though, especially if they like the bigger size and the fact that it's ACTUALLY SFV Chun-Li. I'm looking forward to what they will do with Cammy, I bet that one will be better than SHF's.
older is ok, but most figures these days are lacking in facial charm. both fig arts and storm. though Storm Heihachi is full of personality. just look at that wicked old guy toothy grin.
Ah I wish Karin Kanzuki so popular Street Fighter 5 / Street Fighter Alpha 3 figures storm collectibles style hope best animated character ever my favourites make different hair faces laugh sexy hot kickass and perfecton we love karin kanzuki so much hot will thanks lot for next year 2020 come soon.
I like storm collectibles but mostly their face is not a good looking figures compared to sh figuarts. The details are nearly perfect but for the face i think they need to do digital printing.
Is it just me or does chun li's hip stick out a little more on the left then it does on the right. You can almost see the tip of her underwear on the left where on the right you don't see it. Can you push the left hip in more or is that just the way it is?
Some people: The Figuarts Chun's face is not based on anything Chun-Li... ever: "Face looks fine to me." Storm Chun's face: "Looks terrible. Looks like she's sleepy or has an allergic reaction." Dafuq?
I guess because one looks like an anime version of Chun-Li, and the other looks like a 55 year old bitter highschool or elementary school teacher. Neither at all accurate, but one more appealing between the two.
It's a subjective description for a reason but the core point remains. You can dislike innacurate sculpts (which Storm and Figuarts both are; the Figuarts more so), but it could be partially compensated by what sculpt it does offer, and the anime style is generally more likely to be appealing/easier for people to swallow as an alternative, unless they really don't dig an anime style, of course.
Figuarts Chun-Li pretty much looks how she's always portrayed in older official art/in game cutscenes. She's always had a cute anime face, minus the more recent games. www.arcadequartermaster.com/capcom/sfa2/art_chunli2.jpg i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/523/962/282.jpg i.pinimg.com/736x/1f/24/d1/1f24d1abb945c68a123138c5ea07a2f2--chun-li-atari.jpg 78.media.tumblr.com/0b8fba4c048e8790a9e2de7652fdf84d/tumblr_n7gb0qiqeK1qh6swzo1_500.gif
Looks amazing, really puts the figuarts one to shame. I really despise the anime faces they're giving to all the female characters. R.Mika looks promising though.
AnthonysCustoms I was unable to reply to you and had someone else check and was unable to see my initial comment. Call it what you want there, buddy. Kids these days, amiright?
I think Storm Collectibles would make great Marvel and DC figures.
They made a Lobos
@@gamerbruh7346 Yeah. They also made Darkseid and Doomsday from the Injustice games. I hope they make classic comic version of the Justice League though.

+The Vardon shf is sfv as well so we don't know what the situation is with Akuma. Nostalgia skin or they have a broad license.
The Vardon you read my mind
but sh figures akuma isn't the nostalgia skin, the one in the game has the black belt and his gloves are the classic brown ones from street fighter 2, 3, etc....but the shfiguarts uses ropes as both gloves and belt...like in street fighter iv so, yes Sh figuarts are kinda like a mashup or a generic street fighter line which is something i really like

BEAUTIFULL CHUN LI FIGURE
Great review, and I may get this Chun Li figure now. I wasn't sure about the face, but it looks better than I was hearing from others. I have a thought that maybe if one of the faces had her eyes opened wider, it would look more like her SFV design to people. But this sold me.

Again! Love your reviews & keep it going!
Wow! She's awesome!
Great figure and superb review. Next Super Saiyan 3 Goku?
Awesome, best chun li ever.
The wrist joints are made that way, man, they're not broken
The white belt is from Street Fighter 6 look at the picture for Street Fighter 6 classic outfit
I hope Storm makes figures that SHF has done as well, Rashid and R Mika. Would love to see a Dhalsim!
carlfifank don’t forget Karin
This face looks fine to me. Not exactly perfect, but solid. Look forward to getting it.

loved the video even though i've never played street fighter
I have similar issues with my Storm Collectibles Scorpion, both of wrist joint has a small crack out of the packaging.
Dope! Can't wait to get her

Boobages
Great review! And I agree with Anthony, the face sculpt looks just fine to me. Definitely a must buy for Chun-Li fans.
+IronBioMass indeed
Thanks for reviewing this one. I love this line. I don't get many figures, but two I want this year are the Storm Collectibles Chun Li, and SH Figuarts Tenshinhan slated to come out later this year. Chun Li looks especially good. Face sculpt is awesome.
i have the pink variant and I LOVE IT
Same!
I prefer the anime look, the only little issue that Storm one seems to have is the nose, the sculpt have something weird compared to the CG in-game model IMO. Great review as always :)
great work sir.. great poses...just like in the arcardes :)
+Fort Manuel Delfin Cardinal thanks
:)
is more big than neca chunli? or both are the same scale?
Maaaaaaaaan that is an awesome figure. I really need to get Storm figures Chun Li and Zangieef. I have both Rye and Bison. Excellent review Anthony.
+saif aldhahry thanks a lot
How do you use the hair dryer to fix lose neck joints? great review!
The clamp apparatus is used to display her Spinning Bird Kick ,, it's clamps her waist when she is upside down!! I think!! Try it!!
+shadowolf06 you missed the point
kyo kusanagi one comes with the same stand but it wont hold the weight so i had to clamp at his crotch
damn...
Ive been looking forward to this figure and I do like this figure, but I do not like the faces(eyes specifically).
Chun Looks like she is either: Sleepy, bored, or high(just paint the sclera of the eyes yellow and she's high, lol)

you can think what you like but you are wrong.
AnthonysCustoms if you say so. Good review btw, I can't wait to get my SC Chun-Li 👍
AnthonysCustoms look at the review by Shinigami Customs
Ryu is barefoot vs Chun-Li in her boots…that may account for the height difference.
What stand is that and where did you buy it?
STORM COLLECTIBLES is just Great for designing a Fighting characters! ^_^
+Gem Macaraeg yep
Thicc
i hope they make training costume chun li with storm the one with the leg weights designed by akiman or maybe professional chun li and of course swimsuit chun li
chunli has bigger eyes than that
The claw is to hold the figure if I'm correct.
So out of all the Chun Li figures, which one would you say is the best, this one, neca or Jada toys?
Best value, jada. Idk about best overall
i like the face, she looks like she should like an older chinses woman. which is what she is. by this point in time she is nearing 30 which is the best version of chun li. the should have a laughing head though
Agreed. People just like their "waifus" more than realism.
best answer: buy all the figuarts and SCs
If I could afford every Street Fighter Figure ever made (except the 1999 ones that had minimal articulation) I’d blow all my Money on them.
Her legs look funny because of there color
are the wrist joints really broken or are they like the ones for the VAH? where the balls are split in the middle to allow for up/down movement. oh my bad i though what you meant were the hinges lol

Definitely an awesome fig forsure, but is she really supposed to be taller than Ryu. I always thought she was smaller than Rut and Ken
+2007suprasport turn the audio on
I just realized the Ryu headsculpt looks a bit like Rocky from Power Rangers
WJSN Cheng Xiao in 6 inch size, excellent.
Fried Chicken Now ?

uh dont ball hinges always have a slit down the middle?
+Lurkno not necessarily

Wow you got her pretty early! Nice review! How did you got it early? Sponsored by Storm?
+Jeff Chang check my unboxing video from a couple days ago.
Watched your unboxing video couple days ago. Awesome! Looking forward for more storm collectibles review from you! More power to your channel!

Anthony please review the SHF SS3 Goku 2.0 ver. and the Dragon Stars Frieza.

Hi Anthony! Do you know if Reptile figure is delayed?
CHUN LI
Ah I wish Karin Kanzuki so popular Street Fighter 5 / Street Fighter Alpha 3 figures storm collectibles style hope best animated character ever my favourites make different hair faces laugh sexy hot kickass and perfecton we love karin kanzuki so much hot will thanks lot for next year 2020 come soon.
Anyone know if they're gonna make an E. Honda?
They are SFV figures... E. Honda isn't in SFV.
Yes they just announced him!
I want C3 version
I want this
I like storm collectibles but mostly their face is not a good looking figures compared to sh figuarts. The details are nearly perfect but for the face i think they need to do digital printing.
Broken wrist joint and the possibility of breaking the knee joint ... your streak continues.
knee joint is ok at least
True.

its a floating piece
Compared to the in-game model her eyes look half shut.. doesn't look like the same person.
Did everyone in the world forget about the Chun Li created by Neca? Or are you sponsored by Shadowlu?
Some people:
The Figuarts Chun's face is not based on anything Chun-Li... ever: "Face looks fine to me."

might have to stop shf alltogether for storm. bye bye kamen rider
I don't recall any move where she has that electric / energy effect on her wrists
it's her v-trigger power up from SFV. It's water elemental
Looks amazing, really puts the figuarts one to shame. I really despise the anime faces they're giving to all the female characters. R.Mika looks promising though.
+Bardock mika looks great...it's weird that they got her right of all characters
have you seen the shf roid rage akuma? thin but vascular AF ahahahaha piece of shit figure that is
welp.. if its ok to you anthony chun-li fine with us too^^
too expensive most people wont buy this doll
+lorddiosliving lol
Muffin top :(
Anthony commented on my criticism and then blocked me to I can't reply to him. He calls me a kid? Stay classy, Anthony. Stay classy.
...if I blocked you, how did you just post this? Like I said before, it seems kids these days have no common sense.
AnthonysCustoms I was unable to reply to you and had someone else check and was unable to see my initial comment. Call it what you want there, buddy. Kids these days, amiright?
I'll call it what it is. You can continue to be wrong. In kind, I'll continue to delete your comments so long as they continue to be "classy."
So, you just delete the comments you don't agree with? Too funny! I'd call that fascism.
Best of luck to you, friend!
Overall the figure is great, but the face is a no go for me. It lacks emotion.
what kind of emotion you want? crying like a baby?
11:22, porn 🙈 ...Sorry.
beyonce legs i love it
please dont insult chun-li.
AnthonysCustoms 😂
Go see chun li hot toy
It's okay but she looks like a negative Asian stereotype from old cartoons
The facial expression looks sad.
