The big turn off point for me was the trasition from waist to hips on the storm. If you look at the part where all the figures standing together you will see what I mean. It looks like her waist is being badly strangle by the belt. Also the face on figuarts was more nicer and not manly like the storm collectibles.
I've always wanted to see the comparison between the two Chun-Li figures. If my budget was bigger and if I had more space where I live, I'd pick the Storm Collectibles Chun-Li simply because she's taller. As of now, though, I'm not making room for either figure.
They both stick out to me, but I prefer S.H. Figuarts scale for the most part. Sometimes, the larger figures don't satisfy me, unless they're sized to proper scale. McFarlane is a perfect example of what I'm saying. I have a McFarlane Naruto Figure, and a S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Blue Goku. The Naruto figure is about 7 inches tall, versus the S.H. FIguarts standard 6 inch scale, so the Naruto figure towers my Goku figure. 6 inch scale is my taste, but that aside, both look really good. Although, I do really like the generic, anime look that S.H. Figuarts opted to go with.
I would like to see a face closer to the Storm one on the figuarts Chun Li. If they the just toned down the anime look it would fit better with more 6" inch figure lines, IMO. The figuarts Ryu is perfect! It's still anime like the game. But, to me, it doesn't look like it would clash with anything. (Other than hyper real figures and statues, maybe.)
+bunnyfreakz Le "weeb" argument is beyond pathetic considering it's a character from a Japanese video game with an anime artstyle. I find it hilarious whenever someone says "weeb" and then proceeds to play with their Japanese toy (Bandai) representing a Chinese character (Chun Li) in a Japanese video game(Street Fighter) produced by a Japanese company (Capcom), completely ignoring all forms of autistic irony. Fucking laughable. Only hardcore SJWs enjoy transvestite man-face Storm Chun.
+Mr. Riley Yeah, no shit. No one gives a shit about yours either or anyone else's on the internet. Great argument. Yet you still took the time to comment about how much you don't care.
Marnex It was a great argument, actually. If you're only reason for commenting is to shit on someone else's opinion, then you've offered absolutely nothing of value to the discussion, dumbass. Consider yourself educated, now. You're welcome.
It's a close call. But I have to go with S.H. Figuarts when it comes to Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, and Sakura. They're not tall characters and scale perfectly with Marvel Legends. Characters like Zangief, Sagat, M.Bison (Vega in Japan), and Balrog (M.Bison in Japan) soon to be released, I'll go with Storm Collectibles because they're big characters.
Nice review/comparision... for me , storm all the way. Finally a Chun-Li figure has a nose!!! Maybe she could use some face makeover, a little makeup retouch. Lovely hands tho . Haha 👌
I have all of the SOTA figures so I try to get figures SOTA didn't make that are scale with them. I am interested in getting another Zangief. The SOTA Zangief has a very rough sculpt. Like they didn't take the time to smooth it out. That and it's face is just ugly. So when I get the chance I am getting a Storm collectible 'Gief . That Chun-li looks pretty big, but it does look beautiful.
only $15 price difference while in my country, the difference is 250, now that storm collectible is hard to come by, they jacked up the price make it 500 price difference 😪, i really want that storm collectible though, having a very difficult time just to find it
Don't like the rubber used on storm collectibles figures. Over time rubber deteriorates and cracks. They could've used softer plastics like sh figuarts. Don't like the anime look for the sh figuarts. Love sculpt and articulation for the storm collectibles, not the rubber. This would've made it a 100% total knock out blast of awesomeness 😲😲😲💙💚❤💛💖💞💝. On the other side, sh figuarts would've knocked it out if they'd gone with video game accuracy like storm collectibles did. Great review. Keep it up.
Thanks for the comments mate! Rubber deteriorating over time is a bit worrying, I know the paint on the neck of my ryu is already flaking a little. Anyway thanks for watching!
I like both but Storm Collectibles is my favorite. I'll most likely get both but I can't wait to get Storms Goro. I just got my Shau Khan and it's a work of art. I also love the fact that Storm is doing characters from almost all of the greatest fighting games. Tekken, King of Fighters, etc. Keep them coming guys.
IDK Bro but storm gets my money 💰 Every Time !!! Every figure I get from them has me wishing they’d pick up other licenses DBZ MARVEL VIDEO GAME Licenses I love they’re use of mixed plastic and as much as I doo like the look of sh chun li she just looks like a wuss all prissy and clean storms version just looks like she’d beat the Buns of her petite lil head they’re entire SF line is just BEAST in terms of esthetics and the little if any range you give up just doesn’t compare to the sheer Awesomeness of they’re LOOK side by side with SH IMHO STORM IS JUST KILLING THEM plus the figures just have such presence on my shelf as where sh just strikes me as bland and simple looking !?!?! The one ☝️ gripe I have is her scaling I wish they made her shorter like 1/4 to 3/8 “ shorter than ken n Ryun other than that I like the look of storms battle ready Woman over sh’s cute lil china doll..... I can tell by your selection my good Sir you are a collector of good taste!!!
Storms is more game accurate while Figurarts has a more of an anime and manga vibe going on. But I wont deny Storms version is juicy in the hips and cakes ;)! But thats also a kinda downside as it makes her waist look like she just had a baby XD! While Figuarts makes her look younger and fresher as in its her first tournament or something. I say if u want game accuracy go for Storms version. But if u want an anime type looking one with a slimmer younger build then get that one!
I like figuarts anime face, storm has a dude's face, I like the figuarts body, storm's has kardashian's ugly ass, storm has great paint app and joints, also love the acessoriee
@ 4:57 it seems that S.H.Figuarts is the one that have double joints on the knees Edit: Ok, looking a bit more in detail it seem that the images are inverted on that part, but the storm is indeed the one that have double jointed knees.
Reviewing whats available now a couple years later. Storm is just better. There may be fewer but each one is good, whereas the Figuarts are extremely hit or miss.
Great video brother!!! I think overall Storm is the better figure but they are both great. When I can I buy one of each. I can't wait for storms Cammey because Figuarts definitely messed up her ass which is arguably the biggest asset that shes known for. Keep up the great work...
Imo storm blows shf away when it comes to sf figures. Sculpt, paint, feel in hand, etc just seem so right. This is just my personal opinion though and I would never push it on anyone or tell anyone that feels the complete opposite that they're wrong because it's all about how the person/individual feels about what they buy/collect and should never let anyone try to dictate to them how they should feel.
Both look equal to me shf looks better in some areas while storm also looks better in some areas. Equal articulation. Storm has better accessories. Shf=2 points Storm=3 points Storm wins! My opinion don't hate
I was happy to find out that sh figuarts was making a chun-li figure, but I was never able to get past the face. it's just a little too moe/cute. I'll have to go with storm on this one.
Figure arts Chun li has much prettier face. Shes got that beautiful China doll look The face on the storm collectables Chun li looks like she constpated
I disagree with your taste, but I respect your opinion. IMO both companies are pretty good, with Storm obviously being newer and therefore trying its best to make an impact with affordable prices for bigger figures (which imo is the reason the material feels less sturdy, i.e. RYU prone to break). However, speaking about Chun Li, I think the headsculpt needed more time: while it's undoubtedly going for a faithful SFV look, it just fails and looks like some sort of drag-queen/bitchy resting face, which kills it for me. The screaming face IS better than SHF's, but that's it. Also the sculpt of the hips is too exaggerated (once again, more faithful to SFV) but in figure form it makes them look misaligned and she looks a bit more unnatural. SHF Chun also has a cleaner paintjob with the gold lines, but indeed Storm has better shading. They're both great articulation-wise. In summary I think both lines are doing well and fit different standards (Storm being all about SFV and SHF kinda cheating with a look that can be attributed to the franchise as a whole), and the winner varies in each individual release: I think Storm did a fantastic job with Hobo Shirtless Ryu & Ken, while SHF did great with Ryu, Chun & Rashid. I liked Cammy but she's clearly flawed and will no doubt be better when Storm releases their version of her.
+Novapoid Wow, what a write up! Thank you for taking the time to go do in-depth with your comment. I’m sure many will find it valuable when deciding on figure. Thanks for watching.
lol no prob, I tend to type a lot but luckily it takes little more than a couple of minutes. This review itself is really useful for everyone while reading is underrated so I'm glad you did a great comparison video.
The big turn off point for me was the trasition from waist to hips on the storm. If you look at the part where all the figures standing together you will see what I mean. It looks like her waist is being badly strangle by the belt. Also the face on figuarts was more nicer and not manly like the storm collectibles.
Nah Storm is way better, the other looks like a cheap china doll.
My main problem with storm collectibles are the scale, they are too big compared to most of the 1/12 figures
Storm Collectibles is better they did amazing job with Street fighter 5 line
People hating the storm face while me being in love with storm face.
I've always wanted to see the comparison between the two Chun-Li figures. If my budget was bigger and if I had more space where I live, I'd pick the Storm Collectibles Chun-Li simply because she's taller. As of now, though, I'm not making room for either figure.

Nothing against the Storm Chun Li but i personally feel the Figuarts Chun Li's generic anime look and overall poseability is much more appealing to me
The anime look is leagues more accurate than SFV's garbage man face square jawed look.
+bunnyfreakz

Yeah. No one really gives a shit about your opinion either. So there's that.

I’ll chose team Jada

I really enjoy your videos keep it up
I don't regret my sh figuarts Chun Li, but I do wish I'd gotten the Storm version too.
Nice review/comparision... for me , storm all the way. Finally a Chun-Li figure has a nose!!! Maybe she could use some face makeover, a little makeup retouch. Lovely hands tho . Haha 👌
I subbed & Storm hands down. Figurarts are cool, but I like the style as well as the articulation, scale & accessories of Storm's figures better.
Figuarts reminds me of Third Strike Chun-Li, thats the winner in my book
Storm 👍
Storm 100 %
The biggest problem with the SH Figuarts version of Chun-Li is that it's supposed to be SFV but looks more like SFIV.
thanks for the review, it helped me decide
Glad it helped!
Great presentation !😁👍
Shfiguarts looks so much better but I wish it was in a larger scale to fit with other storm figures
STORM is another level...the best SF line at the moment....
Going with SHF. The SC scale is waaaay off, the face doesn't really do it for me and her proportions make her look slightly manly.
Storm is better looking but that gold paint job on her chest is sloppy.
team figuarts! i’d love to get the storm bison & zangief though
Storm Is the best.
For price i love the Sh figuarts. but yes Storm is Awesome still love my Sh chun li
I decide to get both since im big fan of her :) as usual great review thx bro!
if only storm makes it at the same size with shf, storm will be owning shf big time
Am I the only one that thinks that the storm collectibles chun-li face looks a little off or a little ugly, at least strange?
Matheus Rubim de Paoli same, especially compared to the sh Figuarts Chun Li, may not be accurate, but it's nice looking
Yeah, the face on the storm collectibles one looks bored, at least for me, and I think her thighs are not as detailed as the figuarts one
When is it out in America?
if only storm has 6 inch scale, it''ll be perfect
I have all of the SOTA figures so I try to get figures SOTA didn't make that are scale with them. I am interested in getting another Zangief. The SOTA Zangief has a very rough sculpt. Like they didn't take the time to smooth it out. That and it's face is just ugly. So when I get the chance I am getting a Storm collectible 'Gief . Hey bro does the SHF Chun-li durable and have a good quality plastic? Im planning to get her instead the storm one.
She does! Probably the second best in my opinion in the line. My favorite being Sakura, jut edges out Chun Li by a bit.
Thanks for the comments mate! Rubber deteriorating over time is a bit worrying, I know the paint on the neck of my ryu is already flaking a little.
Anyway thanks for watching!
The over all consistancy of the storm one is off, although very detailed.
Its far more accurate than the other..the other looks like anime, to each thier own.
How much did you pay for the shau khan? Its crazy expensive now.
Agreed that storm looks better. I have no faith in BANDAI as they have a record of starting new line of figures and then cancel them.
if only the Storm version had a better face.. the sh figuarts ver. has that classic look
I’ve notice there is a lot of miss matching on the side by side
Storm collectibles wins for me
Sh figuarts ❤️ ojalá saquen la versión con el traje alpha o zero 🙏🏻
i like the sh figuarts one more
STORM COLLECTIBLES is more realistic in face, sh figuarts is very caricaturesque, but articulation sh f wins
Team Figuarts, that SC face is so ugly, the scale is also a problem, SHF is cheaper and gold paint in SC looks off.
Imo storm's chun face looks too manly compared to figuarts. Both do really well, but imo figuarts win.
Shfiguarts is the best
Man, I wish faces wasn't such a deal breaker for me lol
Storms is more game accurate while Figurarts has a more of an anime and manga vibe going on. But I wont deny Storms version is juicy in the hips and cakes ;)! I love then in certain ways
Wondering they do darkstalkers
Next
I like figuarts anime face, storm has a dude's face, I like the figuarts body, storm's has kardashian's ugly ass, storm has great paint app and joints, also love the acessoriee
Figuarts by far that storm one just looks weird to me idk plus i prefer a more anime style. Thanks for this vid
🔥🔥 Chun li was always Bea in street fighter 😂😂 thanks for the comparison both are pretty nice figures
I liked both so i got both
Can't wait to have both her and Akuma!!!
I like the anime style face of the SHF figure.
I prefer the S H Figuarts, even if it's not totally accurate.
storm is way better they need 2 make her in black n red already i got this 1 n hot Chun Li in black
jada toys with screaming face beats both, imho ^^
@ 4:57 it seems that S.H.Figuarts is the one that have double joints on the knees
Edit: Ok, looking a bit more in detail it seem that the images are inverted on that part, but the storm is indeed the one that have double jointed knees.
Thanx man!
figuarts wins for me
Reviewing whats available now a couple years later. Storm is just better. There may be fewer but each one is good, whereas the Figuarts are extremely hit or miss.
I'm more into the SHF anime look. Plus I was able to get it for $27. It fits better into my 6" line.
They’re both great, but for the mean time I’m getting SH Figuarts
Sh figuart Chun Li looks preggy standing up. Lol
Storm Chun Li thickkkk afff
can't wait for figuarts Cammie vs Storm collectibles Cammie
Great video brother!!! I think overall Storm is the better figure but they are both great. When I can I buy one of each. I can't wait for storms Cammey because Figuarts definitely messed up her ass which is arguably the biggest asset that shes known for. Keep up the great work...
Also they didn't give Cammy her camo patterns on her legs.
Friend, when the cammy figure will be avalaible?
In the minute 3:18 what do you say? Hot plástico, robo? Soft plastic, robo?
Its rubber
Imo storm blows shf away when it comes to sf figures. Sculpt, paint, feel in hand, etc just seem so right. Storm look great figure but about the face scan i like more sh figuarts that looks perfect
I really wish figurarts would make an m.bison/vega figure. I like the storm one, but owning the shf ryu means it wouldn't be to scale. Sigh....
I wish the rest of the figuarts were as good.
I prefer the Storm one, except for 4:31, where I prefer the Figurarts.
Both look equal to me shf looks better in some areas while storm also looks better in some areas.
Equal articulation.
Storm has better accessories.
Shf=2 points
Storm=3 points
Storm wins!
My opinion don't hate
No contest Storm gets the win! Forsure!
i like sh figuart look like anime
I have both of it, Storm just looks much better on hand. Shfiguarts just too pale and face kinda bothering me.
Ahora llegó Jada Toys!! Gracias
I was happy to find out that sh figuarts was making a chun-li figure, but I was never able to get past the face. it's just a little too moe/cute. I'll have to go with storm on this one.
Figure arts Chun li has much prettier face. Shes got that beautiful China doll look
The face on the storm collectables Chun li looks like she constpated
Storm definitely seems like the better figure, I just don't like her face and her height. Everything else was great!!!
Nothing will ever beat the play arts kai chun li.
Storm Collectibles does not really scale very well with my 1/12 scale collection.
they are trying to make the battle dress chun il check up stormcollection ok .
Storm very worth the money.

Novapoid but if you weren't told you wouldn't know figuarts was a sfV chun li which is really the point. She's just a chun li.
+Novapoid
Wow, what a write up! Thank you for taking the time to go do in-depth with your comment. I’m sure many will find it valuable when deciding on figure.
Thanks for watching.
lol no prob, I tend to type a lot but luckily it takes little more than a couple of minutes. This review itself is really useful for everyone while reading is underrated so I'm glad you did a great comparison video.
is the narrator in this is the same person in exurb1a???????
sorry but im pretty sure they both had double joints in the knees
im having a life crysis
They need to make akuma or shin akuma please
strom all the way!!!
Wow 😋
“Yata.”
Did everyone online forget about the Neca Chun-Li? Best figure ever (of Chun Li).
You are completely wrong and living 10 years back
Oooooh, other than the overall amateurish editing, you make pretty good content, and your voice isn't insanely grating.
Good work!
Thanks! Room for improvement I guess?!
Storm's figures are digital sculpts. Not the "Stipple" print technique Bandai uses on faces.
Geng Gi is the sculptor.
S.h. is the one
SH wins by a mile! 😁
Thats crazy i feel like Storms is just better in every way.
I like the anime one
