As a Connie owner I always have to take a deep breath before watching review videos of it but this one was fair in it's criticisms. I have similar hopes for a rework but CIG are not showing any signs of starting on it soon which is a shame.
I believe that I think you can tell that I also love Connie, but love also means being realistic and seeing the flaws lucidly. For me this video was very important and it took me a long time to make it, after all criticizing something you love is not easy. When I started writing this video I thought I would give to the Andro a 7/10, but writing the script opened my eyes. All the Constellations, and especially the Andromeda, are ships that deserve more consideration from CIG and a urgent update. Can you believe that the 600i is having an update before the Andromeda?
@@gioru5 My main problem is MFDs glitch causing blinking when aiming around the sun or turning your back on it. Cant wait to get rework of this ship. I love it and review was fair :)
No. Not soon. Two years minimum. Development recently stated "armor" won't be coming for another 2 years. All ships will have to be reworked, when that happens.
I'm actually kind of more in love with it now. Not only do I want my dream space game. I want to be the proud owner of a bucket of bolts that just gets the job done in that space game.
I've found that a fully-crewed Connie can eat a Corsair alive thanks to the snub giving the Connie the ability to regen shields while the snub keeps worrying away at the Corsair, keeping its' shields from recovering.
Thanks for comment my video :) Let me say, I really didn't want this video to be just a Connie vs. Corsair. I could have been easy make it a click bait, but it's not what I wanted. Connie vs Corsair is a recurring topic in my org (I mean, we have factions!), and that's wrong in my opinion. I want to make it clear: I'm a Connie fan. I put the Corsair in the mix to make my message clear: ships in this game must not be a matter of just better and worst. They should offer something different and unique. At least for sales revenue sake :)
@@gioru5 the Connie and Corsair currently do compete with the current content available in the game, what would be wrong to say is that the Corsair does everything the Connie does better, but they're still both 4-crew versatile gunships with cargo and ground vehicle-carrying, designed to be indipendent. The Connie manages to stay ahead thanks to its cargo variant gaining it a leg up as a transport vehicle, and the snub when looking at the combat variant which can protect the Connie's blind spots from light ships, split the attention of medium ships and at the very least annoy capitals.
@@cdgonepotatoes4219 True, but the Corsair has its own upsides. For a solo pilot, you have much more DPS because of the two extra guns on the left wings, and you can even upgun the four main guns to S5, though not having gimbals on it does make it difficult to hit most targets. You can’t upgun the Connie’s lower guns because it would get in the way of landing. You can also rip out the missile racks and slam in some Redeemer missile racks, and get up to 32 Size 2 missiles as a result. It’s not quite as much missile firepower as an Andromeda, but it’s still a hefty loadout. You can also deploy a snub fighter from the Corsair; the Razer fits in the back pretty easily. As a quality of life thing, I’ve found it’s much faster and easier to use the Corsair elevator to get into the ship than a Connie elevator. That said, the Corsair’s turret placement is significantly worse than the Connie’s, leaving a huge blind spot beneath and behind the ship. All in all, they’re very similar ships, but have distinct advantages and disadvantages, which is something I really enjoy and think is the sign of a well-balanced relationship.
The biggest reworks it needs is 1: speed and maneuverability 2: put those bottom guns on the top of the lower engines so we have 4 S5s 3: remove the crossbar on the windshield. In my opinion, these three changes will put the ConnAndrom back on top for a LONG while. Other changes that could be fun: 1. Make the table work again 2. Make the escape pod beds functional 3. Allow suits and outfits to be stored in the lockers as well as some places to keep food. 4. Make some sort of frontal landing gear
why cant just this one time the ingame RSI gets some sort of hover tech that keeps it from going nose first when landing gear is deployed, but wishful thinking
I believe your first and second points are a matter of balance, while the third is more personal taste. The second list is about fixing what's currently broken and making the unfinished content work. Onto the rework stuff: 1. Give it an extensive facelift, the Phoenix needs it most being confused between a practical ship and a luxury people transport; 2. Increase the strength of the fore gravlev/VTOL so landing doesn't feel so hazardous anymore. No more tipping over, the choice to not have a frontal conventional landing gear should be because the Constellation deploys an effective alternative that preserves its profile and ground clearance, it should not be an intentional design flaw; 3. Significantly increase the range at which the linked snub fighter can see the Constellation, you should be able to make landfall with it and find your way back in orbit; 4. Turret health. It's fine to have the Constellation rely on manned turrets for a large portion of its damage potential, but that damage potential should not be so easily taken away.
@CDgonePotatoes The part about the location is not balance. It was supposed to be 4 S5s but Cig fucked it up by not allowing space sor S5s if the ship was on the ground, and they never bothered to fix it. Why would you be able to fit S5 gimbles if you can't but S5 unlimited guns? NTM, with as big as those engines, there's no reason for it to go only 911. The top speed it was originally designed to go was 1050. The cross bar is not personal taste. All Connie owners and not agree that the cross bar is a terrible obstruction in many cases. You can pretend that it doesn't bother you, but you know deep down it gets in the way. Landing is literally pilot's skill I can land consistently without bonking the front for my ship on the ground, even on rocky terrain. Hell, I can land an A2 just as well in the first person without issue. Plus, if they put front landing gear, they effectively ruin the ergonomic accessibility of the cargo bay. All turrets across the board got a hull health boost in PTU, and are now included as a part of the shielded areas of the ship. And I agree with the merlin part. Although, with persistence, it's best to rely on your memory and utilize your ping if you're going solo.
Omg these changes!!!!!!!!! Please CIG Love this ship and these changes are exactly what it needs! Friends keep telling me to go cosair but I can’t I am a Connie man not a ugly drake ugly unsymmetrical draker lol
Can't wait for the golden pass on the constellation series. I think the Taurus and Andromeda need something extra for more gameplay loops - perhaps a basic healing bed or just something to give it more purpose.
The connies are on my list of ships to watch. Between the connies, the tali, and the Cat, I think all three are going to be insanely good ships and are going to be redefined in the future with modularity or simply an overhaul.
The Connie is my first love, I pledged for it back in 2012, and I will never melt or upgrade it. I have flown it through all of its highs and lows. All it really needs is a solid rework/gold pass to bring it in line with over ships. That said I think with a little more love then just a quick gold pass, this ship could really be in a level all its own again.
I have owned and flown many ships at this point, but the Connie is the one I have had the longest and possibly my favorite. I started with a 325A (pre-rework), initially upgrading into the Taurus and then the Andromeda. As someone who plays solo frequently, but occasionally with groups of friends. Its a great ship. I can fight and defend myself well enough when alone and even better with friends. I like doing all sorts of different jobs and while its certainly not the best at any one job, it certainly has a lot more flexibility than many ships. That is the trade off you make with multi-role ships, I think its hard to hold that against it. But it does have some flaws, you mentioned a few in the video. For me though, I do have some gripes which were not mentioned in this video. As you said it's a very long ship, when landing there is no landing gear to support the front half. So if you are landing hard or on uneven terrain. I find its easy to smack the front of the ship against the ground or land at an angle its hard to renter the ship from the ground if you land in first person. You mentioned the table being obnoxious, but what drives me crazy is losing an engine nacelle and then flying around with landing gear just floating next to the ship because its built into the nacelle, but doesn't get destroyed with it. The other thing I personally dislike it the use of a cargo elevator over a ramp. Its not to bad now, but stuff used to like to clip through it, and using the elevator in Zero G can be kind of jenk. Like many people I would love to see the ship get updated to address the issues you mentioned, as well as my issues too. But I have a hard time envisioning the ship being brought to gold standard without significantly changing the ship that has really grown on me. I think of the changes to the 325a, its hard not to see them as an improvement. But I have grown attached to the Connie as it is and there is that sentimental aspect of not wanting to see it change (to drastically).
An easy way to land big ships is to point the nose of your ship to the corner between the tarmac and the front wall of the hangar. Just keep going until you're close to the floor. Correct the pitch until you are parallel to the tarmac and then slowly start to descend. If you are using a low max thrust level, you will gracefully land and not hit the nose of the ship. It takes a little bit of practice, but it's not hard. I do this mostly with my Taurus and C2.
Good break down. In isolation, the Connie series are a fantastic line up of ships, doing a little bit of everything very well. But as the patches have progressed and newer ships have been introduced, it really is showing it's age in terms of CIG development and experience in ship making. I think the same goes for the Freelancer line of ships also. A full update and rework would bring them up to scratch and place them back in the mix once more!
That's right! I think you will understand why for me to review a ship like the Freelancer in its current state would be a low blow. I wanted to include the Freelancer in this video out of respect, because of its importance to Star Citizen, but to review it now -- it wouldn't be fair. At all. Actually, my evaluation for the Freelancer would have been the same for the Andromeda, but I wanted to make the Andromeda an example. Because I love the Andro and wanted to state my disdain for its status. And I also love older ships like the Freelancer! (I mean, the atmosphere of that ship is magical!). I could easily have ridden the wave of contempt for older ships like the Freelancer, but I am not here to get easy appreciation. I am here to give a message. A message to SC and CIG players. I have a clear vision of how I would like the management and evolution of ships. A vision of passion and respect. It is no coincidence that the next video will be the Banu Defender, because it is a ship I love for reasons I think I'm gonna explain, with some annoying caveats though.
Yeah man I love my Andromeda but mostly because of sentimental value lol. It's first proper big ship I've ever bought in game but that was long time ago. Nowadays there's no much need to use it, other than just to show it off to someone who want to buy it in game. It's not really that great. I agree with your final score. Very well made video
I have one and have purchased a CCU to Hurricane for multiplayer bounty fun. I have a Nomad now for shuttling a Roc if I want to do that. Someday if I ever group with enough people to justify more than a 2 player ship, I'd probably go for something like a more dedicated gunship anyway :( If they rework the ships they have pretty awesome potential, but there's currently too many issues that annoy me.
@@Cherronova The Aquila is the exploration variant and has the same interior as the Andromeda. The crew and bridge areas have a lot of wasted space with no privacy. All the Constellations need an interior rework.
Though I don't necessarily agree with the solo capabilities of this ship post nerf to it's maneuverability and the crew quarters needs an overhaul I agree with all your points. I was an early adopter of the Connie when PU 2.0 came and loved it. Though it was ultimately replaced by a Mercury Star Runner in my fleet I still hold this ship in great regard and refer people to it when I feel their play style will be suited for it.
1) Fix S5 issues. 2) Make the windshield more like Scorpius. 3) Make turrets remote and use more of the bridge space as living space. 4) Redesign the interior with a Captain's cabin, another cabin with three bunks, a better head and a more immersive galley and sitting area. 5) Fix elevator collision issues. 6) Fix Snub docking and launching. Also better protect the ship while docked. Seems to explode constantly. 7) Make the back room modular. Options are Snub, tier 3 med bed, grand entrance (Phoenix), Smuggling room, repair room, armory, etc 8) Airlock leading to space. 9) Remove top hatch. 10) I think it would be cool if the turrets can have the option of a single larger gun to give it more of a gunboat feel. Like a S4 Cannon and let any model attach the tractor beam.
Despite the debut of the MSR and Corsair I am still very attached to my Constellation Andromeda and Aquila. Can't wait for all the Connies to get their "gold" passes. I hope CIG never changes the bridge and turret access layout. Being an older ship lore wise in game history the Constellations are likely going to be easier to service and secure spare parts for as the game universe expands.
Philips, I share your love for the Connie. It is truly one of my favorite ships, regardless of MSR and Corsair availability. I found your suggestion (prediction?) about the availability of spare parts VERY interesting. This is the kind of vision I hope for this ship! Which I have imagined in form of modularity, while you have made a matter of spare parts availability. Brilliant! I like that
:) Thank you, yes I'm really new, but I'm gonna review every ship and keep reviews updated. I hope you subscribed not to miss the next one ;) Thank you very, very much
As a Connie owner / fan / lover - and after watching many many videos regarding it , this is by far the most truly placed criticisms i ever see ! Connie needs reword for sure post your thoughts on spectrum / forum i will support ya
great video and great editing man. all good points. i like how the connie feels like something you woubld actually live and work from in the sc universe.
Very good video. Fair evaluation of the pros and cons - with some very appealing vies of the Conny. Really like the Conny and it was great fun to fly in 3.13 (a bit too agile maybe but loved it). It could really need some attention, but I do not expect it any time soon. Personally I like the jack-of-alll-trades approach - especially for solo. It still has a lot of potential. Glad to have a Conny in my hangar. Cant wait to see what you have to say about the Defender.
I have a Taurus and most of these problems are shared between the constellation class ( with exception of the phoenix) the bridge and habs need a total overhaul... it hurted to see the argo raft get a better hab section with a proper kitchen and the connie table still doesnt work...
Though the issues are glaring and it needs attention, specially with needing to flip the bottom turret gunner over, you gave a fair assessment but still had great respect and sentiment for this iconic ship that has always been my star citizen home. Thank for you the review and not bashing this beloved icon into space dust.
I thank you for the comment! 😊👍 I'm very glad that you liked it. I just want this game to be better, so I will always tell what I think with respect. 😉
for a hard and gimbal mix , i prefer the other gimbal mode, so you aim with fix and let do the autoaim for you. for example 2x S5 canons and 2x S4 reapeter
With one of the 2 current meta's being bounties then looting the wreckage for cargo, the Andromeda currently has a pretty good spot, especially given its rentable for 70k / day
Shame I only saw this video after buying it, I felt like I should've gone with the Taurus instead since indeed I don't care about the snub fighter and would've much rather preferred the extra storage even at the cost of 33% hp, but better fuel economy, as such that one would've been a better pick as a solo player, I also didn't realize about the turrets being somewhat fragile. Very nice video, good representation as well, love the way you talk, calming and clear and straight to the point.
You sir, earned a sub. Great review and its also exactly how i felt. One thing to add, im not a fan of bigger ships like the Connie/Corsair. I much more prefer medium class ships. Cutlass Black for jack of all trades stuff or Reliant Tana/Kore for doing Bounty Hunting stuff (sidenote: i think Reliants need a rework, buff to hull hp, slightly bigger shield and more QT fuel at least. The rest is fine i think. Sayin this because they are screaming- medium ship)
I think you did a really great job with this video. However there are a few things i want to criticise. 1. I think CIG wants you to have certain ships as sidegrade options. I believe as well, that the Constellation/Corsair Size is the target size for the "large ships" to be "daily driven" thus they want some variety in there. 2. Landing the Constellation is rather easy once you're used to it and have the right procedure. I usually do this with a 30 degree Pitch down with my nose coming close to the forward edge of the landing bay. Then pitching up whilst decending only with the downward thrust. This leads me to turn into the landing bay. I might get a bit close to the front edge, but that distance is less critical than the back, since i a have full view of that area. And i read some great comments here as well. Since this game is evolving over time it would be great to have some resemblence of that in the game. If it were possible to get a MK2 Variant of a ship that would be great.
Thank you for the comment, I found it a very interesting read. 😊👍 The first point made me think. Yes, it would make sense to have some "redundancy" in that ship size... About the second point.. yes hahahaha 😆 when you know the technique, you can safely land, but I'm often mind absent when I play SC, and the Connie punishes me for that 🤣
I'd also like a rework of it. I glued my eyes on the phoenix for a while, but decided against it, because the luxury part has no seperate entrance eventhough the other variants have docking ports. And don't get me startet on the ratio of passenger seats to beds and toilets...makes no sense. Otherwise i would love to carry passengers with the phoenix.
We can just mount the weapons on the top of the thrusters instead of below and that's it being size 5 does not clip the ground anymore. Also better default componants pls.
I have a corsair. There is something strange about Connies. They feel like home when you play. Just the way it is. I am continuously thinking about figuring out what combo of melting and cash is best for an Andromeda
For as much as I like the Andromeda (and the Taurus especially) and dislike the Corsair, I agree with your judgement. Among the plus I'd mention the amount of entry points for this ship, that puts the MSR at a shame. Among the negative, the big strut right in front of where you are looking, which is really annoying and the lower turret that struggle to cover the rear part of the ship (and maneating attitude of the two beasts). Like The Caterpillar and the Freelancer, the Constellation is one of those early ships that made Star Citizen, but are now relegated to the "old stuff" people don't look at because new shiny things are available. This does not invalidate a well rounded ship, but makes it less "palatable" for someone investing money in to the game.
I agree!!! It's really a shame. The Caterpillar is the only one that still holds up decently, but I'm afraid the Hull series is on the verge of making even that obsolete... But what kind of business model is this?
@@gioru5 The Hull serie cannot land on planets so has other uses, but the main problem for the Cat is the Hercules: faster, larger, with much longer legs, able to load both cargo and vehicles, more agile and even better at defending itself. It is better in any possible way, except, may be at landing in tight areas. I've been debating if to upgrade since the C2 hit the store. Should the Caterpillar finally get it's loading barn doors lifts it will hold up very well. After all having 5 different cargo bays all accessible means you can separate your cargo and hit several loading points and never have to chose "what offload first" and what later. The problems is, that before UAE, it was stated that "they don't know how to", which is worrying. I was hoping Cargo Refactor would change things, but we still don't have tractor beams for ships and the cat is where it was before. Same as for the Taurus, which could have brought a revised living and cockpit area to the Connie's but did not.
@@Leptospirosis yes, you are right. You actually made me think. C2 and Caterpillar are another example of "unhealthy" coexistence of best-worst based ships.
The Andromeda was my starter ship. I really liked the table and don't understand why it doesn't work now. I have done thousands of missions with it and I have never felt the need to upgrade or use a more modern alternative. For me it was and is the best bang for your buck in real money. Yes it could use modularity and a better windscreen but I fear that it will destroy it's versatility. I agree with your pros and cons and your improvement suggestions but for me 7/10 is more realistic.
Thanks for the comment 😀 I can understand why you suggest 7/10. But I truly believe that 5/10 is the right score until the ship doesn't get an update. You may not agree, but the fact that existing ships are not timely updated (and not demanding it to be done) is a concerning behavior that should be addressed, in my opinion.
I melted away my Connie Andromeda years ago when it was poorly maneuverable/ missiles not firing/ snub fire just a prop. Now it’s an even stronger ship with so many gameplay options. But my multi role ship is currently the Corsair.
I think you hit the point of my main criticism of the Andro. Bugs, bugs, bugs, neglect, neglect, and then -- the Corsair. The Andro doesn't deserve it. And the Corsair doesn't deserve the "Connie killer" label either, what kind of bullshit label is that? It made me hate the Corsair! A ship that really doens't deserves it
@@gioru5 keep in mind that even though the Connie has had bugs fixed and gameplay categories added to it, it will definitely get a redo. It is a first gen ship AND it has the boss’s name on it. Also, we still have armor to be added to the game. There is room there to balance further. But slightly longer landing gear would be a minor quick fix ;)
I love the idea of this ship, and I love the look of it, but that giant honking double bar in the middle of the view screen and the whole cargo bay floor dropping out to unload kill it for me. Then the turret coverage is kind of bleh, but I can forgive that because the ship is supposed to be an aggressive missile boat I suppose. Would still prefer some rear coverage besides the dang parasite fighter. And the fighter is cool, but I agree it's kind of useless outside of using it to quickly scout or something. At that point it'd be better just to bring the whole ship in if you're solo, which I usually am. Even with crew, though, she just doesn't do what I want...which sucks, because every time I look at this ship I see the Serenity. Damn, damn shame. I agree with your rating, and good job on the video. Here's hoping we see this classic get redone at some point to earn that love we all have for her.
For a long time the Constellation has been one of my favorite ships but I agree it is horribly outdated and the interior space is very poorly utilized, the RAFT feels interesting and with multiple areas of the ship for different uses and it's almost half the size of the connie. I agree it should be a modular ship and it needs an complete layout and aesthetic overhaul. It should look more like an oversized quad engine Apollo, Maybe swap the snub docking to a mini hanger or lose it all together as it's almost useless, and divide the interior into separate functional spaces like all the current ships. I hate that all the Constellations regardless of role look almost identical on the inside beside the phoenix. Actually the phoenix is a great example of just how much more they can do with a ship that size without even losing the underwhelming 96scu or ability to carry ground vehicles because you can in fact still put an Ursa in a phoenix. I mean the ships in universe manufacturer carries the name of the games real CEO and it's one of the most neglected assets next to the Aurora (which is actually perfect for what it is minus not having a clear role anymore and also needing to be the modular ship is was originally intended to be) 😤 Sorry, went on a rant there. For a very long time I had a Connie and loved using it for most of the game but since I think 3.16 it got traded in for a RAFT and a Nomad and I actually just find being in these newer ship more interesting and enjoyable.
Ugh, the Connies are a mess due to being a very early design before the RSI style guide, the ship metrics for components, etc. were thought out. In the beginning it was "the ship" that most players could look forward to for multi-crew gameplay where everyone of the four crew would have a role as either the captain, a turret gunner or the snub fighter pilot. The variants covered all of the conceivable early game roles, except for mining. It was supposed to be the ship the crew could live aboard...except there is no privacy. Contrast this with the Drake Corsair, a company in lore that cares little for crew comfort, yet gives private rooms for each of its four crew. Again, timing of the ship design makes such a difference, CIG has matured and learned from its mistakes. Look at the MISC Freelancer's cramped interior, even after the rework, vs. the Mercury Starrunner's interior. Or the labyrinth of the MISC Starfarer vs. the much better layout of the Carrack, to compare two large ships. I never drank the Connie kool-aid, coming to the game in 2017 ships were already evolving to a new standard and I got rid of all my older designs for newer ones or ones which had not yet left the concept phase.
Thank you for the insights. I agree, the early Constellations do lack in some areas compared to what CIG has managed with newer models. The Corsair and Mercury Starrunner are really examples of how far designs have come. Appreicate your adding to the discussion :)
Thank you very much. Despite all the cons I still love the Andro, but objectively it needs urgent improvement. I hope my videos will not be perceived as negative or harmful to star citizen. On the contrary, I have as my first goal to be an active supporter of star citizen. Not only by being a concierge, but also being honest even about problems. I believe this is a big help to the project. After all, being disappointed about a major purchase like a size 4 ship does not help the project in the long run. See you in the verse!
The Connie Andromeda is my first pledge in 2013, and still my daily driver in 2023. The BS of having S5 on the bottom is not possable, I beleve it's CIG way of nerffing the Anda. For me YES it need a upday but it still checks ALL the boxes for me.
It's funny, my first pledge (also from 2013) was the Freelancer. I simply could not get to a point where I enjoyed flying it with that horrendous visibility :(. Ironically, I CCUd to the Constellation Taurus, since it's the ship I *actually* wanted back then, but I'm learing that for a ship that large, I am not really liking the compromises in functionality that come with multi-role. And I know the Taurus is more cargo hauling oriented, but even so, it's got the same pilot firepower minus some missiles as the Andromeda. And that's not even touching the bugs and lack of polish it has compared to new ships. For a solo runabout, I MUCH prefer the Nomad (even more than the Avenger Titan).
#Andromeda is medium not large. This is a v2.0 model and CIG should keep it for sale as is imho. But they should as their ship pipeline improves put out a v3.0 and keep the old v2.0 for sale as those are all a part of the lore and history of Star Citizen. At which time two models of the Andromeda would be for sale. V2.0 AND v3.0. Enjoyed the review.
I like his point of view. It made me think. About medium and large... Yes, it is medium and I admit I classified it as large because of a mix of "old habits" and "newcomer understanding." But I knew I was walking a fine line. Thank you for going above and beyond, despite being fully aware of the true size of the ship
My only problem with this game is that it feels pointless grinding to buy anything because you know eventually you'll lose it all again in the next wipe. You never feel like you own anything. It's a very effective method to force people to buy ships with real money. Development of new ships is also ridiculous when there are already 140+ flyable ships and they can't even fix some basic game breaking bugs after over 10 years of development. This is the reason why I think SC will never be finished. They want to keep the money machine fueled to sell more ships. They should add some creative gameplay like crafting and base building with a wide range of building blocks.
You touched on a salient point about Star Citizen. It's a topic that always turns on all the members of the org where I play. Some are of the conspiracy idea that actually the game is already almost ready, but they are slowing down the releases to justify the frequent wipes, that push people into buying ships in cash. I am always cautious with conspiracy theories, because they are fine in movies but in real life they would clash with many competing factors. I do think, however, that CIG has a tough nut to crack: being able to buy ships in the game is a good thing, but it undoubtedly hits revenue. So they are walking a fine line between the promise of "from zero to hero" and having to pay huge development costs for a project of unprecedented scope. I admit that I do not envy them and they have my full respect. But I don't want to sound too honeyed. Going back to your initial remark, I think the main problem today is that, precisely, the only goal of the game is to grind UEC to buy ships, having few, repetitive game loops available. I am convinced that the true potential of the game will start to be seen from 3.18 but I hope this will be just a starting point. I think the game needs a bigger social scope, like cooperating for terraforming, cooperative defense against Vanduul and, in general, more activities that do not involve weapons. Why every ship in this game have weapons? It doesn't make any sense to me. It's like in our life even trucks have cannons mounted on. Nonsense.
I'll try to remain optimistic and hope Star Citizen eventually reaches their intended goals at some point during my lifetime. I was 27 when SC development started. I'm 40 now and I expect development will continue for at least 10 more years at the rate this army of 512 developers is working.
Which ship would you say in the same weight class and can do everything the andromeda does but better? I am looking for a solo multi role ship (all arounder) to upgrade from my cutlas black. Thank you
Don't get me wrong. The Andromeda is a good ship, it just needs a rework, but it is still a great allarounder. My advice is to skip allarounder completely and buy dedicated ships. If you want to stay on "large" allarounder, the only real alternative to the Andro is the Corsair. It's less resistant but it has more firepower, and it has the Buccaneer as a loaner, which is a big plus.
Can you share your location with people from planet? Because that would mitigate the issues with planetary recon. Also, how long will the Merlin fly before it runs out of fuel?
Sorry for replying so late. Yes you can, if you party together, you can always check other team members position. The Merlin and the Archimedes run out of fuel pretty fast. You can check the estimated flight time of every ship on www.spviewer.eu :)
Modularity is the only thing that could save this ship. I love it, I want to own one, but the sad truth is they made their money off it and now it's forgotten. Plus to add modularity the only thing that would stay the same is the bridge and maybe had, so you'd be swapping out 95% of the ship as modules.
The crew quarters and bridge suck it needs a full redesign within the current available space and there is a lot of wasted space, the ship itself is gorgeous
Full quote is . “A Jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one” HAHA. If you hover above landing bay and hold "n" with landing gear down . It will land automatically.
Yeah, they shred the Hammerhead like butter, but farming VHRT with a medium fighter seems to me a faster way to make uec on long run. Anyway they are both great ships to have in battle
Honestly the Corsair is much more greater ship at this moment... The cargo of the Constellation is for carrying the supplies and vehicles for the expeditions, If you are doing cargo haul, buy a ship specialized for that role....
Hi, this is cool! A word of advice: the docking/undocking mechanism of the Snub is still a bit buggy and has problems working in the atmosphere. If you plan to use the Snub planetside, I suggest you undock it in space, load it into the cargo bay (it will fit), and then enter the atmosphere. When you are done using the Snub, park it in the cargo bay, go into space, and then complete the docking procedure. At least, that's what I do.
Maybe desync? I don't know, honestly it never happened to me and in my org no one reported this problem. I'm sorry that you have this problem, it must be so frustrating!
Okay, currently it doesn't dock because of a bug. I was going to state it in the video, but the docking bug comes and goes with each release.... And these versions are the bad ones. The final rating wouldn't have changed, the problems of the Connie are much bigger than that...
Hmmn I love my andromeda as it can do almost anything I need, has decent health and shield pool. The downsides never seemed that big, well apart from the table you can't use. I have done pvp stuff pve stuff all round I love the ship as much as my cutty. As a large solo ship it doesn't have a equal. Rumours go round of a gold pass and what that will have so I'll skip that. The reality is this is a comfortable daily driver that can literally go the distance. With pyro coming its one of the ships best positioned to capitalise. Other more specialised large ships exist but exist for that purpose only. The real competition is the corsair but it too has flaws. Outside of the corsair only the cutty can share the same niche. The MSR loses on fire-power and endurance in combat really limiting what it can do. Under the changes to combat a MSR will have to run. And the same shortcomings in multi role show up with almost every ship. Except perhaps a M2/A2 but those are way outside the class of the constellation.
Thank you for the comment. It was very interesting to read. I think that we star citizens are too used to "live in the future" with this game. Today, we have half of the ship with just "pretend specialized gameplay" and ships like the Connie that has been neglected for 7 years. The result is that today the Corsair overshadows the Connie. But it's not just a matter of ship variety. What I don't like is the naive approach that explains why we have roughly designed medium fighters and useless ships like the Herald. This needs to stop imo. Anyway, as I said, I've found your comment very interesting, and I agree with your vision 😊👍
@@gioru5 I agree the Connie could use some love. However with the issues the corsair has and no idea just how fragile it will be and the distinct lack of coverage from turrets. I don't know it exactly out performs the Connie in any way and may wind up worse. It does have a nice interior though.
5 out of 10 is a bit harsh, few ships can carry an ursa, let alone with as much hp as the connie has and the connie has EXCELLENT pilot dps. You mention the corsair, but the connie has almost 100k hp more. The connie has more missles than Corsair too. Connie is easier to get in and out of. With a full crew and snub fighter the connie is a handful for any other ship in the game. The turrets are a lot better coverage on the connie too. You're way off on a lot of points.
When I started writing the script for the video I thought my final verdict would be 7/10, but writing the script opened my eyes as I realized that it would be a sentimental rating. The final verdict takes into consideration the current state of the ship, which has not been updated in 7 years; what is not acceptable for a ship that costs $300. I still love the Connie, and she is one of my favorite ships, but love also requires honesty, and quite frankly, it is a ship that is losing ground. I didn't even mention in the video that, in the current version, the Snub fighter doesn't even work because the release mechanism is broken... Regarding the Corsair: I have both ships and use them a lot. I don't like the Corsair AT ALL but in my experience those 100K HP less don't make that much difference because the Corsair has more DPS (the pilot has 2 more S4 hardpoints), so the difference between the Corsair and the Andro is a matter of time to kill vs endurance. In the end the result is almost identical (although, some may disagree in favor of the Corsair). However, I mentioned the Corsair in my video for a different reason than promoting it over the Andro: the way I see it, having large ships that are too similar to each other is not a wise choice, both for gameplay and sales. As a final note, before finishing the script I took a poll in my org asking, "If you had the chance to get a ship for free between the Connie and the Corsair, what would you choose?" Well, I was the only one who voted for the Connie, which is sad. This ship doesn't deserve it.
Sadly must agree. but I doub, they will ever repair the ship. there waits no Money for CGI anymore. It will stay dormat like it is, a forgotten Queen. Sadly. I love my Constellation... even when it will never be repaired.
Until science/exploration is a real thing, the Andromeda is the ONLY choice for Connie's. PvP should be your main concern as that is really the only multicrew role available right now.
This is one of the issues with Star Citizen, the early ships are kind of weak compared to newer ones and it does not look like it is gonna change anytime soon. CIG needs to keep money coming in and the only way it does that is buy selling ships. The majority of folks interested have already purchased them so they need to get current ship owners to buy more. How do you do that, by creating ships that are better then what they have. I only hope in 2050 when the game actually releases, that they go back and do some passes on some of the original ships.
Hi, the name you are looking for is "Clemens Ruh" and the track is "Yesterday Has Yet to Come". I have to admit that your comment hurts me :) I pay all the artists with a very expensive music service whose terms of service do not require me to credit the artists. My videos use about 30 songs, crediting all the artists would take up most of the video description. Anything I did not pay for (video bits, Star Citizen tools) was tagged in the video and credited. Anyway, I will consider adding the track list in future videos and thank you for pointing this out. ;)
@@gioru5 Thanks! Btw, great choice of music. In any case, movie producers pay for the music as well, and they run credits in the final titles. You don't have to use descriptions for that. Just sayin... ;)
@David Thank you David 😊 Music is an important part of the video and credits are indeed important. At the and of my last video, I credited the artists on the screen because the music became prominent in that part.
all ships since the beginning have the same lack of updating and they are not competitive with the new ones. I own a Sabre and now it is not what it was.
Gotta disagree on the combat assessment of a connie.. 1) In PVP, a Connie can be scary if manned.. those turrets have SO Many shots to keep shields from recharging and keep the lighter fighters at bay.. While they will outmaneuver the pilot, with turret gunners that becomes more managable 2) PVP.. Most PVP bounties can be dispatched before they get close to you.. The connie struggles more with the lower tier bounties than the higher tier bounties which introduce bigger ships.. Outside of the eclipse/tali and now the corsair.. the Connie (and 600i) are pretty well off (compared to the "connie competitor 400i) when it comes to dealing with the hammerhead level bounties.. Just toss a size 5 cannon on there and back away from a hh and blow them up without them getting a shot on you. 3) Cargo.. Cargo running isn't the big deal here.. but having a ground vehicle to do bunkers with (and not get blown out of the air or land in that ONE ditch to prevent turrets from shooting you.. big benefit.. 4) Snub.. Broken a lot of the time but it can really do wonders in pvp and pve if you've got it.. also great for a single person running down somewhere (like scouting something like JT) Overall.. connie is a fantastic jack of all trades ship!
Hi, thank you for the comment! I'm a little confused. I've read the comment twice, but I think every point you have listed is mentioned in the like part of the video. What is the moment in the video you disagree with? Thank you :)
@@gioru5 Hey there! the comments were written in response to what you said you disliked about the connie specifically the jack of all trades master of none comment. But because it has so many options it's one of the main reasons that it outclasses other ships. So just pointing out for PVE (even in atmo) the connie is more than enough and is pretty great at demolishing the hammerheads compared to say a Vanguard. Cargo.. Yeah sucks at cargo but it's better for making it a versatile ship for ground missions with a crew (something for example the nomad can't do (space gameplay for friends in a nomad would be boring). Etc. Overall great review though!
Thank you, it's clear now. Yes, I understand why you disagree. Of course, it's just my subjective opinion, but the reason I made that section is that although I love Connie and use it often, I always end up a little frustrated in every activity. In org, no one wants to turret her because the turrets are fragile. In solo I opt, when farming, for specialized ships because they perform better in a given activity. Also, what a pity that the snub has all these problems.... It is a ship that was born at a time when a big sized all-rounder was needed. Now I feel it is losing ground, which is a shame. It would just need an update. And anyway, it's always my subjective opinion, I can't stress it enough 😀
@@gioru5 Cant' say I disagree with your thoughts here. It badly needs a reconsideration.. Honestly I think when armor hits the Connie is going to hit it's stride.. It may not punch as hard as a corsair but I suspect it'll be a damn durable ship (probably top durability in it's class)
I understand the criticism, the ship needs some updates badly. But calling one of the best multirole ships in the game 5/10 is sending the wrong message. The Connie A is a bare minimum 8/10 for being able to do all the stuff you can do with it. From there you can start discussing the pros and cons. There are not too many ships that can deliver the same capabilities and because of that the package should be respected.
Thanks for the comment 😀 I love the Connie, I really do. But I think that giving 8/10 to the Andromeda, in its current state, is what would send the wrong message. 5/10 may seems to harsh, but I follow specific criteria that I will explain in a future video. I don't decide the rating beforehand. I list what I like and what I don't, then I do my research, and only after that I give my rating. I hope the video succeeded in showing all the care and the effort I've put in the process. All I want is SC to be a better game. Because I love it. Anyway, as soon as the ship will get a rework, I'll be very happy to update my opinion.
@@gioru5 Im just thinking about people like i was a month ago before i upgraded my Nomad pledge to Connie, wondering if it would worth it after a video like this (yes, its worth it). To them the 5/10 is very misleading considering we are talking about a ship that is able to play all non-specialized gameplay loops to the highest level. And doing that extremely safe because the only thing that is really dangerous to the Connie is an Eclipse with size 9 torps shooting at you from stealth. Anything else you can just QT away. The hull strength of the Connie is insane. Again, saying 5/10 is telling people it is not worth flying it. Im curious how the other multi-role ships would fare against your criteria if the Connie only gets 5/10.
I'm sorry to tell you, but the connie will never be refreshed. If anything it will be nerfed. Hard. Why? Think about it. Despite your points against it, the connie can still do one thing very, very well: knock VHRT's, and ERT's down like dominos without having to restock, and make bank. So why would someone want to buy another large ship in place of their connie? Surely you all know by now CIG is quite ruthless when it comes to making their own bank. The answer is to nerf the connie, and force people to take top bounties in groups, which is frankly impractical for many (if not most) players OR buy a suitable, proper gunship. With the connie nerfed, the newer and more expensive corsair would see an increase in sales.. so you can be sure it's just a matter of time. As much as I loathe her fixed lower gimbals and missile racks, which I think ought to be swappable all the way to S4/5's, and also the problematic snub which has just become an outright shame on CIG, my biggest gripe is the cockpit view. I mean for gods sake, just let people see out the damn window! But despite it all, she's workhorse, and although I also think her roll rate should be increased, as well as boost acceleration, she can actually whip around quite fast in experienced hands. I've taken more than a few inexperienced light fighter pilots who thought they were under her guns until that wicked yaw rate put them in the gimbals half second too long lol. Lovely girl. Hopefully I'm wrong and she gets nothing but love..
andromeda shouldn't be able to go into atmosphere imo... it should be an orbiter and you use the snub to land... the Vtol is mostly to land on space stations, etc that ship has no aerodynamism... and if landing it as an emergeancy could be possible... offland would require almost the entire fuel tank of the andromeda... just to dissade landing with it... many other ship should be the same, thinking about the corsair, which wings pattern are more of a drag than an areodynamisc asset, same for the Kraken, the 890jump, or the Carrack.. and many other... even with Vtol it doesn't change the amount of fuel require to offland from a planet's gravity.
I like A LOT your vision about the Andro ability to go in atmo. I could speak HOURS about things like that that I don't like. for example: every ship having weapons. really? How so? It is as if nowadays trucks have guns mounted on the roof. It doesn't make sense to me!
@@gioru5 exactly!!! to have everyone be armed is nonesense... but people would say ya but players would just attack you.... well the issue is game mechanics... Crime stats is a thing, but if you attack and kill unarmed civilian ship, you aren't just a criminal, you are a sociopath/psychopath... thus I suggested to had that stats which would never fade away only on character reset, and that stats wouldn't be seen by players it would just reduce the reputation gained from factions... like a reduction of 10 to 20% by faction rank... depending on the factions nature... military aren't that bothered to have psychopath, as long as they follow orders. so at some point someone acting like a psycho would just be bared from some factions... the idea is at low rank you aren't known so there is no issue, but the more you are known within a faction, the more people are starting to gossip that there's something wrong about you. Imo that would enforce so anti griefing, and eventually if your psychotic stats is too high when arrested it's not to prison you would get but asylum.... add to that a War crime... like if you bomb a civilian place with you A2... that's an act of war, and now it would be not bounty hunter but the army which would deploy against you. At the begining it seams they where going to implement ingame balance mechanics like the prison and I liked that, but they seams to just been sleeping on that now. once those things are implemented then people would had incentive to NOT be armed, as they would be "flagged" as innocent civilian, and players. if our ship are insured aswell as our life, well insurance broker would rather prefere you don't resist and minimize the damage your ship or your body would get... so if you got a civilian ship laoded with gun... the insurance might refuse to insure you. there's so many aspect they could do to balance thing in a more realistic way, and I fear this game will end up into a space s.c.u.m.-like game.
Your conny loadout is very suboptimal for bountys. Conny is one of the best ERT farming ships. Also its sooooo cheap! Honestly I think conny and c2 are thee best bang for the buck money makers.
Hi, thanks for the comment. The dps calculator and mobo glass screens you see in the video are test setups arranged during the production of the video. What's your favorite loadout?
@@gioru5 dual s5 laser cannons on the top for long bounty grinds. If you leave the bottom repeaters gimbaled they make up for the poor velocity matchup and chew up the lighter ships. Or just replace the bottoms with ad4bs size 4 gatlings.
As a Connie owner I always have to take a deep breath before watching review videos of it but this one was fair in it's criticisms. I have similar hopes for a rework but CIG are not showing any signs of starting on it soon which is a shame.
I believe that
I think you can tell that I also love Connie, but love also means being realistic and seeing the flaws lucidly.
Thanks for comment my video :)
Let me say, I really didn't want this video to be just a Connie vs.
@@gioru5 I'm not biased, I own both. :)
@@robertschumacher2707 Oh sorry, I didnt mean that XD
The andromeda has been my favorite ship since I started playing, and your video helped me pull the trigger on it.
The biggest reworks it needs is
1: speed and maneuverability
2: put those bottom guns on the top of the lower engines so we have 4 S5s
3: remove the crossbar on the windshield.
In my opinion, these three changes will put the ConnAndrom back on top for a LONG while.
Other changes that could be fun:
1. Make the table work again
2. Make the escape pod beds functional
3. Allow suits and outfits to be stored in the lockers as well as some places to keep food.
4. Make some sort of frontal landing gear
Good points, thanks!
why cant just this one time the ingame RSI gets some sort of hover tech that keeps it from going nose first when landing gear is deployed, but wishful thinking
I believe your first and second points are a matter of balance, while the third is more personal taste. The second list is about fixing what's currently broken and making the unfinished content work.
Onto the rework stuff:
1. Give it an extensive facelift, the Phoenix needs it most being confused between a practical ship and a luxury people transport;
2. Increase the strength of the fore gravlev/VTOL so landing doesn't feel so hazardous anymore. No more tipping over, the choice to not have a frontal conventional landing gear should be because the Constellation deploys an effective alternative that preserves its profile and ground clearance, it should not be an intentional design flaw;
3. Significantly increase the range at which the linked snub fighter can see the Constellation, you should be able to make landfall with it and find your way back in orbit;
Please CIG
Love this ship and these changes are exactly what it needs! Friends keep telling me to go cosair but I can’t I am a Connie man not a ugly drake ugly unsymmetrical draker lol
Can't wait for the golden pass on the constellation series. I think the Taurus and Andromeda need something extra for more gameplay loops - perhaps a basic healing bed or just something to give it more purpose.
a truck is a truck
@@gioru5Liked and subbed xD
@@Nemoticon Much appreciated!
Fully agree. Modular Connie, best Connie.
They need to give all Connies the Phoenix treatment - an entire usable deck on top with the cargo hold below. The whole line needs a redesign.
Thank you very much. Yeah, I still love the Connie, but it needs urgent improvements...
I have one and have purchased a CCU to Hurricane for multiplayer bounty fun. I have a Nomad now for shuttling a Roc if I want to do that. Someday if I ever group with enough people to justify more than a 2 player ship, I'd probably go for something like a more dedicated gunship anyway :(
If they rework the ships they have pretty awesome potential, but there's currently too many issues that annoy me.
I think the constelation should get an interior reework. Its a exploration ship and I couldnt imagine spending a few months in an interior like that.
The andromeda is a combat patrol ship
@@Cherronova The Aquila is the exploration variant and has the same interior as the Andromeda. The crew and bridge areas have a lot of wasted space with no privacy. All the Constellations need an interior rework.
@@caseytwill absolutely agree with you on that!
Thanks for the video, very good break down of the strengths and weaknesses of the ship. It definitely deserves some love from CIG
Options are Snub, tier 3 med bed, grand entrance (Phoenix), Smuggling room, repair room, armory, etc
8) Airlock leading to space.
9) Remove top hatch.
10) I think it would be cool if the turrets can have the option of a single larger gun to give it more of a gunboat feel. Like a S4 Cannon and let any model attach the tractor beam.
I would love to see all that!
Brilliant! I like that
wait what you only have 15 subs?
The production quality is SOOOO high- keep it up! love your review
:) Thank you, yes I'm really new, but I'm gonna review every ship and keep reviews updated. I hope you subscribed not to miss the next one ;)

great video and great editing man. all good points. i like how the connie feels like something you woubld actually live and work from in the sc universe.
The editing on this video is great! You deserve more subscribers!
Thank you very much for your comment 😊 don't worry, I can't complain about subs, the channel is very new (about 3 months)
I'm very glad that you liked it.
I just want this game to be better, so I will always tell what I think with respect. 😉
for a hard and gimbal mix , i prefer the other gimbal mode, so you aim with fix and let do the autoaim for you. for example 2x S5 canons and 2x S4 reapeter
With one of the 2 current meta's being bounties then looting the wreckage for cargo, the Andromeda currently has a pretty good spot, especially given its rentable for 70k / day
Good point 👍 this is especially true for the Taurus, for its tractor beam. Thanks for this comment, really
Thank you very much 😊👍
Nice video, I have the Connie Aquilla and love that ship.
I thank you so much and agree on everything you said. When I'll make a video on the Tana, I'll say pretty much the same things you said 😊👍
I think you did a really great job with this video.
The first point made me think. Yes, it would make sense to have some "redundancy" in that ship size...
About the second point.. yes hahahaha 😆 when you know the technique, you can safely land, but I'm often mind absent when I play SC, and the Connie punishes me for that 🤣
the MK2 Connie was the concept art, we are currently at MK4.
love the video. keep up the good work.
12:49 The Connie can carry land vehicles. I agree with much of what you said but you can fit an Ursa Rover in the andromeda.
Yes it is correct, thanks for the comment
amazing video boss, excited for your next!
Thank you very much! I'm already on it 😉
I'd also like a rework of it. I glued my eyes on the phoenix for a while, but decided against it, because the luxury part has no seperate entrance eventhough the other variants have docking ports. And don't get me startet on the ratio of passenger seats to beds and toilets...makes no sense.
Otherwise i would love to carry passengers with the phoenix.
very good review i liked it. was very suppressed to see you hardly have any subs. subbbed, thumbs up, and commented
Thank you very much 😀👍
Subs are not many because the channel is new 😉
We can just mount the weapons on the top of the thrusters instead of below and that's it being size 5 does not clip the ground anymore. Also better default componants pls.
i literally own a corsair and gonna buy a consti phoenix asap LMAO. feeling called out HAHA. good video.^^
If you ask me, the Phoenix is the only ship I would make my house if I were really in the game, good choice!
Hey man! This is a good video! I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future!
Thank you very much! I'm already filming the next one 😉👍
I have a corsair. There is something strange about Connies. They feel like home when you play. Just the way it is. I am continuously thinking about figuring out what combo of melting and cash is best for an Andromeda
I'm still hoping it will get a gold standard update pass someday soon to take care of all the dated looks and functions
Hot take, I think the Connie should have remote turrets. Saves a ton of space on it, and they've been a pain in the butt since launch.
Agree 👍
Thanks for the comment 😀
I can understand why you suggest 7/10. But I truly believe that 5/10 is the right score until the ship doesn't get an update.
You may not agree, but the fact that existing ships are not timely updated (and not demanding it to be done) is a concerning behavior that should be addressed, in my opinion.
New sub here, I love your format ❤
I thank you so much, really :)
I agree with all your points. Great video. Earned a sub! Thanks.
Thank you so much! I'll be working hard to not let you down :)
good work mate continue the good work
I'll do mate! I'll keep putting all my hearth in this :D
Thank you SO MUCH!
I feel you pain bro!
I like how you switch to the e’ssexy voice when you describe the bridge ;)
Hahahahaha im glad you noticed and liked 🤣👍
I love your content, dude. How about a like/dislike on the Vanguards, Freelancers, and Spirits?
I have a Taurus and I love it.
Hopefully many issues will get addressed when they do a gold-standard pass
Still my favorite daily driver. It's not the best at anything, but it's good at everything.
I mean the ships in universe manufacturer carries the name of the games real CEO and it's one of the most neglected assets next to the Aurora (which is actually perfect for what it is minus not having a clear role anymore and also needing to be the modular ship is was originally intended to be) 😤
Sorry, went on a rant there. For a very long time I had a Connie and loved using it for most of the game but since I think 3.16 it got traded in for a RAFT and a Nomad and I actually just find being in these newer ship more interesting and enjoyable.
I'm totally with you bro!
Great video! I was thinking of buying an Andromeda until I saw this.
@@gioru5 I'm proud to be one of your first subscribers. I see your channel becoming huge quickly if you continue delivering quality content like this.

@@quasistellar the Nomad is great for Roc mining as you can get very close to the gem you want to mine as it hovers and the very small footprint.
@Bryan EL We are both the same age and willing to remain optimistic. Yes, I think this could be the game for our retirements XD
As someone who has all 4 of the Connie’s as pledge, it do be sad to see what was once a pinnacle of a ship be left in the wake of the newer lines.
Yeah, it hurts... 😩
IMO not be possible attaching bigger size weapons in the bottom ship hardpoint its very bad, i hope they do something about it
Great Vid! Big sad, I love my Andromeda but I cant disagree with the rating
Thank you! I love it too, fingers crossed for an update soon :)

You can check the estimated flight time of every ship on www.spviewer.eu

@@gioru5 Great! I'll be waiting :)
Modularity is the only thing that could save this ship. I love it, I want to own one, but the sad truth is they made their money off it and now it's forgotten. Plus to add modularity the only thing that would stay the same is the bridge and maybe had, so you'd be swapping out 95% of the ship as modules.
The Freelancer series is another one that desperately needs an update.
The crew quarters and bridge suck it needs a full redesign within the current available space and there is a lot of wasted space, the ship itself is gorgeous
Agree!
Full quote is . “A Jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one” HAHA. If you hover above landing bay and hold "n" with landing gear down . It will land automatically.

@@gioru5 I am noob maybe one day Ill try land by myself.
I don’t agree with the npc bounty part. The Connie and Corsair are the best ERT solo killers besides the torpedo ships.
The toilets on some ships come out of the wall.
Indeed, in the video, I've shown the toilet of the Cutter doing this. But the Andro has nothing like that sadly

Really considering a andromeda due to the snub. Lets me have more varaity and I can race with it as well!
You should cover the bug where it fully accelerates even when fully stopped at random. I have crashed too many times to count because of that.
Maybe desync? I don't know, honestly it never happened to me and in my org no one reported this problem. I'm sorry that you have this problem, it must be so frustrating!
Y'all can get the snub fighter undocked from this thing?! HOW
Okay, currently it doesn't dock because of a bug.
I was going to state it in the video, but the docking bug comes and goes with each release.... And these versions are the bad ones.
The final rating wouldn't have changed, the problems of the Connie are much bigger than that...
Thank you for the honest review 🍻
Thank you for the comment!
I will always post honest reviews. Players deserve it.
Maybe 8 out of 10 if they also redid the bridge view (remove or at least widen the window frame).? ;-)
Hahahahaha agree, that would be 10/10 tbh 😂
If you're drunk enough any shower can be a toilet.

This ship doesn't deserve it.
i love the andromeda, but it really does need an update to its design. especially the interior.

What is the music playing at 4:29? You haven't given any credit to the musician, it seems, which is shameful.

@@gioru5 Thanks! Btw, great choice of music. In any case, movie producers pay for the music as well, and they run credits in the final titles. You don't have to use descriptions for that. Just sayin... ;)

Gotta disagree on the combat assessment of a connie..
1) In PVP, a Connie can be scary if manned.. those turrets have SO Many shots to keep shields from recharging and keep the lighter fighters at bay.. While they will outmaneuver the pilot, with turret gunners that becomes more managable
2) PVP..
4) Snub.. Broken a lot of the time but it can really do wonders in pvp and pve if you've got it.. also great for a single person running down somewhere (like scouting something like JT)
Overall.. connie is a fantastic jack of all trades ship!
👍🔥
I understand the criticism, the ship needs some updates badly. But calling one of the best multirole ships in the game 5/10 is sending the wrong message. The Connie A is a bare minimum 8/10 for being able to do all the stuff you can do with it. From there you can start discussing the pros and cons. There are not too many ships that can deliver the same capabilities and because of that the package should be respected.
Thanks for the comment 😀
I love the Connie, I really do.
Hopefully I'm wrong and she gets nothing but love..
andromeda shouldn't be able to go into atmosphere imo... it should be an orbiter and you use the snub to land... the Vtol is mostly to land on space stations, etc
that ship has no aerodynamism... and if landing it as an emergeancy could be possible... offland would require almost the entire fuel tank of the andromeda... just to dissade landing with it...
many other ship should be the same, thinking about the corsair, which wings pattern are more of a drag than an areodynamisc asset, same for the Kraken, the 890jump, or the Carrack..
and many other... even with Vtol it doesn't change the amount of fuel require to offland from a planet's gravity.
