I've been wondering how the pond has been doing. I always have to add water during the winter. I keep my waterfall running all winter, which I think is the big difference. Last year we over a 100" of snow and still had to add water. The snow was on top of the ice so it never made it into the pond till spring. This year so far we've only had 3" of snow in total, super dry. We should be well below 0of right now and today it'll be 40of. Crazy weather! Glad all is well!
Yes, it has been a Crazy weather indeed! It was down to -15°C last Wednesday (January 17) and yesterday it was sitting at 4°C. It’s all good though. Hopefully Spring is coming soon. It is strange that you have to add water in your pond during the winter. Is there a leak somewhere? Or your waterfall may overrun outside of your pond when it’s frozen(?) I keep everything off in my pond except the aerator for the winter. The Water level always rises in the winter months and more noticeable this year because the pond is covered. It has been collecting rain water and water from snow melting through the drain holes in the plastic cover.
