10:24 - Just so people know, if you cast Mana Drain on a spell that can't be countered, Mana Drain still resolves and you will still get the mana on your next main phase. The mana is not contingent on successfully countering the spell. i.e. a spell that can't be countered is not an illegal target for a counterspell, so it doesn't fizzle.

Not that it makes Finale worse, I've seen too many people dump a million mana into it, swing out thinking it gives trample just to realize people can chump their creatures

@@joshholmes1372 Yeah because a trampler to take out one player is exactly what you want to be tutoring for. My vanilla trampler sure is good in this limited format.
@damo9961 Ideally you can tutor for Cratorhoof. That's probably the most found card with Finale.

Did yall forget Birthing Pod and Vivien? Dylan mentioned it during Delighted Halfling, and I’m pretty sure he thinks they don’t suck 😂
I know a lot of people dont think legolas's quick reflexes is good enough in najeela, because you have access to counterspells, but after playtesting it a ton its an auto include in that deck for me. The uninteractable protection is so good, alongside taking extra combat steps to remove multiple things. I've also looped it with underworld breach and dorks with 1 power to kill stax creatures to go off. It has never felt dead to me but to each their own!
You should do a video where you rank all the fives (and sixes) from each of the ranking videos against each other
For Bloom Tender it is ESSENTIAL in Sisay which is definitely one of the TOP decks currently in the format. I think that alone should push it over the Mana Dorks at minimum.
Yeah I play it in my Tayam deck and its very good.

I swear Sylvan Library is underrated... I know it's rough when it feels like you're constantly seeing the same cards with the ability, but that's why you use deck shufflers strategically like fetch lands and such.
It totally is. In a faster deck that has no ways to abuse the one ring I would play library over the ring I think.. well, I did actually in my Malcolm Tana list.
I cant get enough of these. Ya'll have quickly become my favorite MTG channels and one my favorites channels period. Keep doing what you guys do!
I'd have included Survival of the Fittest in the discussion, it's still a card that wins the game if it stays in play for a round or so.
Dude I just had that Vivian scenario the other day. Atraxa had a force of neg for it but I casted it with halfling. So good
If someone drops a mystical elf from yugioh and claims its a mana dork, we might have a problem.
When I see a new play2win video, I get a boost in serotonin
I’m still pretty high on sylvan. It makes the cut in my kenrith list. I run mastermind, ledger shredder, and sylvan as card advantage 2 drops. I’ve found that sylvan outperforms archivist of oghma on average so I run it instead. I try and optimize so I have turn 1 or 2 card advantage in every hand. Also delighted halfling is a dud for Kenrith. Your etali example is peak halfling value but a lot of decks are starved for color pips and I just don’t think summoning sick colorless is good when a lot of the most powerful cards aren’t legendary. It got the cut.

Sylvan Library is the OG for me, and while it's definitely gotten outclassed, it's still in every deck I play. I wish Green would get some sort of card advantage engine in the form of "Whenever a player does ___, you may draw a card." (not Runic Armasaur).

There are some things that green does that are under utilized imo. The ability to make your spells uncounterable should probably be more explored in cEDH. Cards like vexing shusher, destiny spinner and veil of summer can win you games similarly to grand Abolisher

I know it's more of a meme deck right now, but Seedborn Muse is NUTS in Kadena morphs. She plays as many ways to cast creatures at flash speed as possible

Idk I think mystical elf would be a great card in cedh. It has 0 mana cost and is an 800/2000 because it's from Yu-Gi-Oh 😂

I have such a surface level understanding of Magic, and so much of this goes over my head, but I really enjoy this show
Library is still a good rate.
Yeah it sucks the first turn, but by the second turn, 2 mana for 3-4 cards is very good
And by the time it's 6 it's faster than one ring draws

You guys need more Sisay players in your life. It’s the one deck where you consistently miss cards for.
Green is still top tier if your deck can utilize all those creature tutors straight into battlefield to win. It’s what makes thrasio decks so good. People are sleeping on green
As a mono-green player (Marwyn) I find it funny all of the places where I disagree with this list. I think this list is pretty accurate for overall cEDH but it differs wildly from how I would rate cards for my deck
delighted halfing giving your One Ring uncounterable is also a pretty strong bit of utility, people don't counter it often but I'd still say it happens enough to keep in mind.
The one that lets my homie stay in the US is my favorite.
In kenrith you always have somewhere to put the mana if you dont want to cast any spells.
I like bloom tender as a combo piece in rocco
8:30 anytime I play Magus Lucea Kane in casual pods I always live in dread of the Bowmaster just ruining my plans
I remember when I was able to play collector ouphe turn 1 off my gem stone caverns and thought with my dorks I'm gonna be able to get so far ahead.
6 turns later all my dorks were wiped and I was sitting there with sisay 23 treasures and an ouphe. The entire table was actually keeping him alive against everything I did to try and get rid of him. I cut him afterwards
For the Invasion of Ikoria negatives, not getting grand abolisher was one, but are you able to get the new Kutzil card to get a similar effect??

Do you think you guys could do an artifact and a land version? I guess colorless would do too, but it would pretty much be artifacts
I also recently replaced my collector ouphe for manglehorn in my gitrog deck.
The 1 mana dorks were mentioned, but not utopia sprawl or wild growth, which can go mana neutral on the turn you play them. Are they notably worse than the dorks thanks to feeding dockside or the restrictions on them?
For what it's worth, bloom tender is absolutely a staple for Sisay and that deck is really strong right now

In all honesty I play sliver overlord, and I wouldn’t consider my deck a cEDH but more of a high power and I can say that seedborn muse is something that has helped me so much and is very useful, great video by the way guys have learned a lot from you all!!
I’m a few months into magic and again I’ve learned a lot from you all and from both of you if you all had any tips to be a better control player and even a better way to pilot the deck I’d really appreciate it!!
noxious revival has been such good interaction for me, while being great as recursion at the same time. In my opinion it is on the level of mental misstep. Worldly tutor however is just good enough for me when it can find dockside. I would put it under bloomtender.
I love invasion of ikoria in my yarok deck. Finding two combopieces for just one cost is insane

I play Kinnan and noxious revival has been really good in response to my brothers fetch land I put Savian's reclamation on top of his library ibknow it's not the main use but it comes up more than u would think but sometimes the person using it doesn't think about it that way

You guys gonna do best multi color spells? Colorless/artifact? Lands?
100% on the dorks, I'm not playing the green dorks that only generate 1 color in my Rocco deck cuz of bowmasters, the dorks that are in the deck still are able to generate more colors like Birds and Arbor Elf(added benefit that I'm playing Yavimaya), have extra utility like Delighted Halfling or can generate more mana like Bloom Tender, Fae-burrow and Orcish Lumberjack
Cam is a national treasure, I love the commentary but come back to these for Cam. Dylan is great too
Greens biggest problem is that all their play styles play through creatures and combat wins, which having to play on board is just so much weaker than spellslinging
Some decks do like a mana source that can also punch people, dorks are still great. Can't draw Tymna cards off of an arcane signet.
Unironically Legolas's quick reflexes is great in Najeela. The two biggest problems she has is getting removed, and your opponents all having creatures to stop you from snowballing. It just handles both really well. I'm not saying it's a staple, but I think it at least has a home in one of the top decks.
Legolas' Quick Reflexes fits perfectly in Codie
Bloom Tender is one of the most important cards in sisay which is arguably one of the more popular and strong decks right now in the meta, but the card is otherwise unplayable in other decks
Its still strong and worth playing in Tayam.

Aphetto Alchemist + Legolas's Quick Reflexes and you can ping all the creatures to death on the board that you can target.
How?🤔
@@heboriklehkoruky9218 You target the untap ability to aphetto itself as you tap it and since it becomes tapped it deals 1 damage to target creature. You repeat this process until you ping everything off the board you want. This of course you need 1 turn cycle with aphetto onboard due to summon sickness and since it gains hexproof nobody can remove the creature with target removal.
@@heboriklehkoruky9218alchemist can untap itself with its tap effect, and quick reflexes has the creature deal its power in damage whenever it's tapped to a creature
Although i do run into bowmaster as a kinnan pilot i feel like it feels just as bad to be feeding dockside or running into a collector ouphe so they might be judging dorks a little harshly
I really wanna see you guys try Berserk in a deck, I still think it's underrated.

Also not that it comes up a lot but if you flip etali and flip battle of ikoria it’s a one shot because of the poison counters. I have actually killed someone this way it was pretty funny

Amazing card, less useful in some places than others, worse than Eldritch Evolution, better than Sylvan Library imo.
Good break down, not sure about Eldritch Evolution being that high as having a creature to sac is an inherent cost (you said as much for crop rot). No GSZ or Sylvan Tutor rating 😢
If evolution resolves you pretty much win the game 99% of the time because you should be sacking your commander for horror

What about Birthing pod? Maybe worth a mention. Selvala is a little bit niche but, I mean she’s a little niche but she’s completely busted in the decks that want her and likely the colors best commander. Maybe I just need to watch again., I’m going to. Surely you would have had Survival of the fittest somewhere in the discussion?
