Where did you order it ?😅
I’ve had Eero for over a year now, in 2022 I upgraded to fiber and these two combined together is awesome
Do you pay a bill or no
@@righteousmasculinehe probably pays for a certain speed through his isp(internet service provider)
@@righteousmasculineyou would for your provider but not for the eeros cause you own them
But the pause feature is like impossible to bypass
You are getting 500mbpersec+ download speed and you are saying not bad.
On lucky days i get 32
I get 6 😭
XD could relate bout a year ago when i had centurylink with speeds of 25 but i have cox now which is 100 and im switching to frontier fiber one gig
My parents set a 2kbps cap ;-;
Bro just got tmobile I'm. Getting 0.9 to 10 but mostly 5 mbps no bs
@@Krayzied_47I was averaging about 1mbps down and .6 Mbps up.
It sucks and I know those feels bro.
they don’t boost your speed, they’re used to extend the Wi-Fi connection to parts of the house that are far away from the router and have poor connection.
They are technically routers too
@@mccheeze775 yes but some people are under the impression that they improve the speed of your internet when that’s not true.
Yeah my router is very far from my room 😢 so this helps to get more stable internet connection not better
@@mccheeze775no it’s not. It’s just a signal booster nothing about it has router components.
@@ImperialPrafacy so how does my eero work as a router? I don’t have a router because I disabled the router side from optimums gateway 🤷♂️
Zawg on a good day 7mbps is a blessing
Mesh systems are for coverage. Not speed. Every beacon that you add will be half the speed as the last (when in succession). The gateway should get full speed but the next one will be half and so on (unless the other beacons aren’t daisy chained and have a direct connection to the gateway). I install these for a living and they’re great for coverage. Just don’t expect 1Gbps. Even still there’s almost nothing that requires that bandwidth except downloading large files. I pay for 300MBps and I have never noticed an issue. 300MBps is actually overkill for probably 80% of consumers. In fact I actually install for commercial accounts and I’ve seen bigger businesses with IT contractors ordering 100Mbps. You’d be surprised at how little you actually need.
the reason i have 1000 mbps is bc the plan costs less than the 300. so its no brainer. What modem/router would you recommend for leverage this? my current modem is barely getting 50 mpbs on my 1000 plan.
I get around 240 mbps with a Ethernet adapter, and live in an older historic apartment, would the mesh system if I use it be able to give me higher speeds? And if so do I need anything else like a wifi usb plug for my pc?
300 is not enough, my household has 14 devices within 3 people and you can tell it takes a strain on the wifi even tho it’s not slow
@@1017KitchenBoy right, depends on the need. 1000 plan is pretty good, just get the right hardware to support it
Well, maybe that explains why I only get 90 Mbps download speed at the third access point. Even though I get 400 Mbps near the main access point, which is next to the modem. It’s a Google Wi-Fi mesh system with three access points. It automatically selects 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz, depending on the device.
I thought the speeds were reduced at the furthest access point, because of the distance from the main access point, and the device being connected to 5 GHz, which doesn’t have as much range as 2.4 GHz
This is great and all but what modem do you have? That’s where the bottle neck will happen.
The eero… the exact same thing
So glad I didn't get the gig router, got the step down version with mesh and litterally see no difference with or without the mesh in terms of speeds. Also with mesh the freaking thing grabs 2.4 devices that are litterally by or closer rather than opposite side of the home.
Recognizes gig isp service..
Yet a lovely experienced high 112mb/11 random, and inconsistency.
Glorious above average gaming @ 60ms-80ms latency. And on its best a floppy 55-65.
Oh and the above all best feature is when it hits 200ms-400ms, and game character on screen lags back and forth giving the infamous signal/ sign of death.🥳🤯
What wifi u prefer ?
I'm still researching, but I think access points are better.
Best is not needing anything except your modem in the middle of the house, with ethernet ports.
Not attaching my Amazon account to wifi system
Can y’all please let me know the app that y’all use?
Why should you need an account for a WiFi router at all?
Do they have Ethernet ports on each station
Do you have to pay Evry month tho
Does this mesh system work with ATT Fiber WiFi?
Yes
How does this test a mesh system?
I have a doubt, I have a 100 mbps speed ( 50 mbps download & 50 mbps upload ) ISP Connection, now if i update my existing dual band router to mesh wifi system will i get the original speed 100 mbps in mesh wifi system or the speed will reduce to half like in happens in case of range extenders / wifi repeaters, big doubt , please reply
Mesh systems are different your wireless will stay pretty much the same but there won’t be spikes and the Ethernet generally improves performance
Does this help with streaming live football games? my Wi-Fi is only doing like 15-30mbps
u just need better internet at this point, eero is meant to put speeds at or above ur router's to places where signals are weak, it can give one gig speeds if ur plan allows that much.
I wish i had that
How about the UPLOAD SPEED which TRULY determines your net connection??? 🤔
Used to be 220 Mbps, but "Upgraded" to next pro and only getting 7 Mbps. Shit sucks uploading
Meanwhile, my Internet can’t even run Minecraft realms
$70 a month
How much a month thoe
I've had an old eero system for a while. I've been fighting overheating and deadzones ever sense. Go with a different brand.
"my old car doesn't have power steering so maybe you shouldn't get this brand new one cause mine has problems"
What app is that for speed test
Speed test by Ookla
So do I still need a modem or the eero 6 plus counts as modem and router???
Just a router
Do you have to pay every month?
only for optional security feautres
Nope
This one isn't.
Orbi is. I used Eero a few weeks, got an Orbi with 5Ghz wireless backhaul-doubled my speed. 👍
does it have Ethernet?
@@chimp3531
Yes. On the router and the satelites. Still working awesome too. 👍
£700 tho lol
Does it work even u do really have wifi at the house can u use this as a wifi without having any type of wifi at home or with out connecting to anything related to wifi I wanna get one Buh I just wanna make sure it works wireless
A router usually conects to a módem by turning off the wifi of the device you got from the company and using the one you bought or replacing the modem of the company but this Is More hard because better wifi devices like the one of the video can only use the ethernet port so no coaxial AND even sometimes no fiber , using the two Is the normal way , the módem for geting the "internet" AND the router to cast a much better wifi.
When you Buy a better módem/router or router It includes a ethernet cable, use that between the módem of the company and the beast you Buy, if you have More speed you could Buy a ethernet cable cat 7 or cat 8 because the default cable usually Is a cat 5 or 5e.
You really didnt test the ‘mesh’ part
I got mine setup and were paying for 300mbs and im only getting 20-50 mbs over wifi and im not that far from our router, talking to the company they say walls and other devices will slow the wifi, which is bullshit because i had a few things connected and ran multiple speed tests a foot from the router. Idk what else to do
ovbiously cant be on full fibre then can you
Literally nobody has ever hyped a wifi mesh system.
Does it connect to your current internet
Yes
Can you mesh this with cox internet?
Internet provider shouldn’t matter
@@chargersfan1111 true
Your modem is literaly a coax to rj45 adapter
my wifi is like 14 mbps you’re lucky
Yes
Do I need to connect it to a modem ?
Yes you do
If you want internet yes
Its way better than buying an expensive router or router extenders
5ghz extenders are $30.. not worth it
Question: I have a netgear r6400 and my internet speeds are 800 mbps through Ethernet but on my 2.4 ghz network my speeds are around 50 mbps and on my 5ghz network the speeds are around 130 mbps. How do I get quicker Wi-Fi speeds? Do I need a better router? Please help!!
2.4 is always going to be slower there's less resistance which allows to travel further but less can be transmitted on that frequency 2.4 is used to get higher bandwidth
5g has more resistance so it can't travel as far ie bandwidth range is low but on the 5 g frequency more data can be transmitted at a faster speed the further you go the more resistance the less speed you get
These little WiFi pod thing only give you a higher bandwidth range so you can transmit 5g further at a good speed that's it.
They can't speed up the amount of data being sent . You'd have to speak with you're provider and get more up and down load speed
I suggest you call you're provider and explain you're issue to them it could be a variable of issues
I run 1g up and 1g down with rogers communication
@@bigjeffy132 my plan is 800 mbps and I get that through Ethernet but my Wi-Fi is very poor. I am planning on upgrading my router. I’ve talked to my ISP and honestly they always just try to convince me to use their modem/router which wouldn’t be a good choice. With a good router what speeds should I expect to get on Wi-Fi with my plan being 800 mbps?
@@anthonyturner6096 can you explain what you're finding to be slow.
You will get you're full upload / download connected right to the router yes sounds like maybe it could be the walls in you're house possibly or maybe the router do you know what kinda of cable is plugged into you're router ie we use Coax 6 normally at Rogers but bell uses triple pair you can also have Fibre
@@anthonyturner6096 you'll never get 800 on wifi unless you're holding you're phone above the router if you're lucky lol
basically wifi is radio waves the further you are the more resistant there will be in turn means slower speed depending how far you get is when you switch to the 2.4g
@@bigjeffy132 I understand the further away I get the connection will be slower but even when I am directly next to. My router the quickest it goes is 150 mbps. I’ve been to friends houses who were getting 600 mbps and higher on the same 800 mbps plan that I have. I plan to upgrade to a mesh router to help with the poor signal in my house, but I’m just curious under the best circumstances what speeds should I realistically expect to get if I have a good router and my plan is 800 mbps? Thank you for taking the time to help me
It's worth it if you have 5gb speed plan from Broadband company. Otherwise, don't live under hype.
Cap
What house is paying for 5gig?
Where you getting 5gb down at
@@fireemblemwasamistake6182 you can get any speed anywhere some data centers have 1.5tb internet
@@CatBot007 learned something new
Yes thanks
can i use it for like gaming pc
ye just connect the ethernet to ur pc and it should work.
I have eero pros wired with cat 8 on fiber. The speeds are insane. I have not seen a loading bar or screen in a while.
I had eero router I hated the speeds they wasn't great. Even tho I had 1gbps speed and I ran out of ethernet ports
I get 39 mb downloads :(
Does this need a router or can it be used by itself? My family and I just want wifi no cable attached, is this just wifi?
Can someone please answer thid
This is your new router yes. You only use the same modem. You then put these in different places around the house or apartment.
You need one to be the router. It will connect to your modem if your provider. The other eero don’t need to have a ethernet cable. But the first one does in order to receive the internet.
same
thats not your current speed, thats just the maximum speed your device can withstand, so your internet can be a lot faster if the phone had the hardware.
Can you do that on computer?
Its most certainly worth the hype if u have a big ass house 😂
The speeds suck. It always disconnects daily and I struggle to fix it. Eero is unreliable. Don’t waste your money. Get something else.
Avoid eero, seriously. They're absolutely awful. Right now, I've got a Netgear Orbi mesh setup running to boost my Netgear Nighthawk router's range, and it's way better than eero. The thing with eero is it's just too simple, especially the interface. You can't do much with it compared to other Wi-Fi systems that give you way more access and control. And here's the real kicker: eeros run hot, like crazy hot. I'm not even joking. One of my satellites actually cooked itself within a month because it was running so hot. The problem is that the devices themselves are all closed off with barely any room for air to pass through, except for a tiny bit of ventilation at the bottom. That's why I can't recommend eero to anyone. It doesn't last long and it's lacking in features you actually need.
Could it also connect to a guest house around 100 ft away?
no
You are gonna need to route an ethernet cable to that house and use it to backhaul a unit
Mesh has nothing to do with the speed itself... is about the range, the signal...
200 dollars? wtf man
I had 2. Not worth. It not make any difference
Not bad mf my wifi is 5 mb at max
I pay for that and I get shit speed no matter what that’s all you get
Mesh systems do not improve speed. The speed test doesn’t really prove much
The speed test that I did in my setup proves coverage. Cause if my speed increases by 100 in my setup it means the coverage has increased by 33% in my room. The mesh is in the same exact location as my old router
It’s not about the speed, it’s about the constant frequency. Just can’t give you the correct gaming experience
Bro fscts I keep disconnecting when playing gamds
@@Ken-he1pn even with Ethernet?
@@biglittlegaming5826 yea but i got an extender
2mbs 😪
Made in vietnam😊
Mmy eero did not help me it made my internet worse
I need that bc my internet make me lag on Fortnite when everyone uses their devices
Router pronounce that more like Rooter and your be on your day to being English.
all my devices are wired so not worth it
Hey guys it’s not worth the hype, eero doesn’t support 2.5 and 5 ghz and it makes gaming very inconsistent. If you’re not gaming then it’s great but definitely caused me some trouble
LIES. I BARELY GET 30 MBPS
NO MATTER HOW CLOSE I GET, WITH AN E CABLE IN IT JSUT GIVES ME 30
That means your internet provider give you 30 max, nothing to do with the routor
Your internet is just bad dude. Move somewhere else.
They're not.
Aus internet is a joke 😢
Nope
you talk so fast. slow down
Is this wireless?
I have 1MB download and 300KB upload bro your Internet is totally fine you do not need any other products. 😂
eero Chinese spyware trash
Eero is owned by Amazon... an American company lmao
I literally get 10MBPS
It probably depends on your main router and other similar factors
