1:12 this video saved me hours of headache! how one small detail such as enabling location on the phone allowed my eero to finally connect properly. thank you so much!
This tutorial was incredibly well done. Even a tech super-novice like me can follow. Thank you!
This video was very straight forward and easy to follow. I followed it step by step and had no trouble setting up my network. Nice work!
Finally a straightforward tutorial.
Shut your mouth
I installed and ran internet wires to locations attic- 1 st floor closet, and another Ethernet wire to basement near garage.
I didn’t get a app it just extended the current network. And made huge coverage.
But still need the original password from main internet in the house.
It was out of the box and no program with landline run to each device
I was impressed how fast it work I’m buying 1 for my house and running land line through my house.
I have a fast network at my house now but have 2 WiFi I want it 1 big WiFi I need 5 of them
Thank you for this video. Your directions made setting up my network super simple. Great tutorial!
Glad it helped!
Well done. Informative and to the point. Good overview of features as well.
If you buy 1 can u take it out of the motem once it was in and put in somewhereelse?
I came here with the same question. I really hope so as I bought it as a way to have wired internet for my gaming, if it has to stay plugged in to the modem it completely defeats the point it’s advertised for
Great video! Informative and super helpful. My EERO comes tomorrow!
Thank you for this Video very simple and short easy to follow.
Says works out of the box but it doesn't. It can't even locate the device.
in that case the eero app should have 2 ways too set it up either look for it or a serial # its on the bottom of the eero device just type in the serial # it should find it thats what i had too do as well
@@scottymoerke8377where’s the option for me so type in the serial number ? i don’t see it
I couldn't connect the second device.., keeps dropping it
Make sure you do all of them together in same room then separate it that’s the best way
I hope u figured it out by now
Thanks! Short, sweet, first video that came up, first I saw. Great!
I was asked by a friend, "What router?" Sending him this specific video. :)
Do I need to put my old modem into bridge mode for this process? Or will it work without being in bridge mode?
Bridge mode is only required if it is a router modem combo. If it's a modem only then you don't put it in bridge.
Great video without all the excess babble that seems to ruin UA-cam, thank you!
Could be wrong but you never stated when to turn our modem/router back on.
Yes he skips over modem and router and just says he has Google Fiber
So 1 Eero always has to be connected to the modem?
I thank you for a thorough coverage. I have a question still-I have xfinity xFi router already. Can I just add these extenders throughout my home to get a better Wi-Fi connection? If so, do they have a UA-cam video showing how to add to xfinity existing network?
From my understanding, you would connect the Eero device to the xFi using the Ethernet cable. All the rest of the steps would be the same.
Awesome right to the point no drawn out bs talking and Walla it's done 😂
Can gaming units (PS5 etc..) connect to the extended pods directly? Would that even work or just run off the WiFi????
It's all one mesh network
@@EZTechVidz awesome!!! Thanks.
@@EZTechVidz is that a yes or a no
Yes! Simply use the Ethernet cord and connect one of your eero’s to the PS5
Are the names and passwords the same on all three eeros as your current wifi network? Does it automatically connect to the nearest eero?
Yes, the passwords are the same
yes u need too set up all the eero to same network and passwprd but keep in mind the modem needs too be in bridge mode
thank you so much for this
i was able to set them ul with no proble. just now ans them seem to work perfect
my tablets works super fast i love them best purchase ;) 😊 super easy to,set up
I'm confused. At the beginning of your video you said "unplug your modem and your router" but you never mentioned plugging the modem back in. Cearly the modem is part of the new setup. So, why unplug the modem in the first place when it is obviously still required??
come on man, joe biden could plug a router in, be smarter.
@@duaneafieldsthat’s a Joe Biden thing to say. Maybe be more helpful, tech isn’t for everyone
Ok dumb question (I hate assembly) -- so we no longer need our original router?
Hi..the eero would now be your router but not a modem replacement as that is still needed via your ISP, if you have a combo (modem/router) device, go in its setting or have your ISP turn off its Wi-Fi feature, you would use the same SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and it's previous password on the eero as the video recommend...hope this helps
@@KrAyZi3GaMinG Thank you. Yes, that’s what I needed to know !!
What happened with the first device? Did it stay conected to the router? Thank you!
Yea
@@EZTechVidz hah. That’s where I messed up! I disconnected it!!
Does it stay connected even when you have a separate router?
Does the first eero always have to be connected through ethernet with the modem?
i just set mine up, the instructions in the app says to do it this way. not sure if it would work if you connect the first eero into an existing ethernet port in your home that is wire connected to the modem.
So only 1 of the eero device's need to be connected to the NBN? and the other eero devices dont need to be but still work the same?
Is eeros good for gaming?
yes
so do I need 2 devices if I want to connect my pc to the Internet in a different room?
Yes, but this particular one comes with three
I bought this and it doesn’t work in my house. My modem isn’t centrally located. Maybe that’s the issue.
If I wanted to hard-wire my pods (I have ethernet running from each end of the house back to the main router) to I do the "add another pod thing" wirelessly, then after it's found, plug in the wire?
why would i go from 460 with spectrum tower to 126 with eero6 ????
cheers. great video.
Can eero connect to a different brand Wi-Fi extender?
Thank you so much !
Do i need it to plug it to modem instead of just to the wall? I dont have one
Connected 2 eeros no problem. 3rd one in the pack would not connect, how do you connect by serial#?
It is a router w extender? Also, the extender has speakers?
Basically this is a mesh system so technically its an extender but it doesnt work like typical extenders. These work much better as they dont cut your speeds down, they just carry the range of the internet throughout your home.
So you need 2 of these to work? I can’t just have 1 in 1 location ?
One will work, but may or may not provide the coverage you need. Coverage depends on a number of factors. e.g. The size of your house, The number of floors, the location of the router in the building, the number of walls between the router and other wi-fi devices. Depending on your specific situation, one eero may be all you need.
Just a question, does it normally come with 3 of them in the box? Or is that an option to get mutiple? Or is it generally 3 in the box every time you buy the eero 6+ Wi-Fi router
No. They have different options.
What if there is no pre-existing modem? What then?
So for a modem/router mix what do you do? Videos say i need to create a briedge so theres not 2 DNS names trying to connect to the internet or something along those lines
Question. Does this Wi-Fi router keep history searches from all devices using it? And how do you go to the settings on your eero router?
It's all on the app
I have a question, can you hook more then one eero system to one account. I already have one but now we want to hook one in my moms house. I want to know if I can hook it on one account.
yes u can just use same network and password so everything is on the same network
Can you still maintain your same SSID and password. I don't want to have to change that for my 25+ devices?
Should be able to
Thanks❤
Why your phone doesn’t look to be connected to the wifi network (no visible icon I think) while doing the setup with it ?
It’s setup with bluetooth
Question if I say have interest with Verizon and I have a dead signal in the room can I use this to get signal
as long your moden has a sigal then yes\
Do u need to disconnect your old Wi-Fi modem or do u keep it on? And if I don’t need the old one I can cancel the subscription for the old Wi-Fi?
the eero uses your same network name and password once u set up your eero too your network and is completed u need too go into your modems settings and disable the bride mode that turns off the modems wifi and u now connected too the eero device with same network and password as u was before
@@scottymoerke8377 that's if you want to use it as your Eero as the modem. You can use your existing modem I believe
PLEASE ANSWER 🙏
Do I have to connect all devices to eero even though they are all connected to Alexa and my network already?? I am so confused. When I ask eero to find all my devices it only finds my TV and none of my other devices even though I did pause 5G
anything thats connected too modem is now connected to the eero wifi on modem needs too be turned off means put in bridge mode after u set up the eero
I have two wireless bands 2.4GHz and 5GHz of the same broadband I have connected 2.4GHz now and how do I connect the 5GHz is it something I got a have another additional eero device ????
5.0 is faster the eero see both bands so if u want some devices on either 1 yes u can with just 1 erro 6+
Price Ports
Straight forward but that's bs. I went through the ringer for this crap.
Nothing seemed to work.
After talking to eero tech support they mentioned that they "suggest" each eero is within 30 to 50 feet of each other. So I would need to purchase more 🤯 to reach cameras in my backyard! Returned it and forget that!
@@Felipe-ou4jz no u dont need more erros they going too tell u that too make more money 1 erro 6+ router can hook up too 75 devices maybe need a few extenters if they all too far away in that xase get the 3 pack
would this replace my Linksys EA8300 router or add to it?
Yes. You can now toss that Linksys router out the window.
@@robinw3716 awesome thanks!
@@robinw3716 eero is a router best one is eero 6+ just plug it in to your modems eithernet port #1 once all set up and done u need too disable the modems wifi so u now connected too the erro 6+ wifi not the modem"s too do that type out the modems url once u do log into the modem user mame should be admin and password is password unless it uses the info on the sticker on the bottm of your modem once u in look for bridge mode if not then the just uncheck the wifi boxes too it dont uses wifi and save
Constantly disconnected just flashes blue and says there's a problem with your network there rubbish 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Zara went on vacation…
Haha
Zero value added in this video. Still cant make this scrap work...
Has nothing to do with the video, get in touch with tech support, maybe you got a bad batch...I'm waiting on my to arrive
I have Starlink with no Ethernet
But I don't got a modem
how u connect too the internet then

Jeez, Amazon has become so invasive now - suggesting to link your network to your amazon account and also give the location of the rooms lol Previous routers have been much more straight forward, worked perfectly and not so invasive. Unfortunately now everything is about personal data collection
