Yes to the lanyard! Mine has my keys on it and lives around my neck - to prevent me from locking myself out of my flat 🙈🙈🙈

My mum always says, if my head wasn't screwed on, I'd probably lose it. Lol. I think she's right. Really good info/recommendations!

You could try downloading a diary on your phone. I've been writing in my diary on my phone for a while now.

Sometimes I just write things I need to get done on a simple sheet and simply leave it on my working desk. When something new comes up, it's easy to just jot that down on the sheet. I do the same with items to buy, especially groceries- it's super likely that on a specific day I can't recall that I ran out of tomatoes, for instance, but as soon as the tomatoes come to my mind, I'll write on the list that I need them. This allows me to save time that I would otherwise spend wandering around the groceries store. Same with tasks: I can focus more on the content rather than the planning itself. Sometimes I would get stuck with obsession on the planning, but it was so frustrating that I decided that it was not the case to beat myself up on that..was just losing time and energy

Look for a therapist that offers services on a sliding scale depending on your income.

Lanyards are also good for keys and flash drives! I'm more likely to find keys and flash drives when they're attached to a brightly colored lanyard!

i use sticky notes to help when i need to complete tasks... i originally tried doing check off lists and yes that helped but i’d lose the paper or forget about the note book. with the sticky notes i just put them on my wall and for some reason being able to rip the note off the wall visually is satisfying.

I have adhd so for me since I’m either in the kitchen or in the laundry room. I put my whiteboard and huuuuge calander in the hallway door that takes me to those places. So I see what I need to do there. Something as simple as dry clothes on my white board. Can make a big difference in my day

I started using a diary recently and have now missed 6 days of records.
I have done this so often over the years and failed.
Even when I was working, I started off great. enthusiastic, then followed by blank pages ....
    It's so frustrating.

Facts! About four months ago I purchased a Supernote, a digital notebook. Whenever I fall off of my journaling routine, I just delete the pages and start all over lol.

Anyone know the Apple equivalent to the Voice Calendar app ? This would make my life so much easier. I’ve come to be so spiteful of my smartphone as it actually is one of the most distracting things when im trying to get ANYTHING done, yet we need it for everything 🙄 super annoying. Love the videos. Really resonates and your laid back-ness is really soothing to me.

You could set the phone to only show you certain notification or nothing at all, so if you want to find out if someone texted you then you go to whatsapp and check, by doing this you will lose interest into looking at your phone all the time to get the feedback you brain needs.

For iPhone call up Siri for android "hey Google" and tell it to add to calendar, say the date, time and event.
Similarly you can also add reminders: say add reminder, date and name.
Both devises can create the lists and add items to them for you, like shopping list for example. Say create list and list name or say add to list name and say thing you want to add and it will ask you if you want to create the list if you don't have one.
you can also ask them to read your reminders or lists.

Do you have any tips for studying at university, lectures are a nightmare for me I get constantly distracted at the slightest noise and then can’t focus?

Thanks for bringing this up, very good question. One thing you could try is brining an audio recording device into lectures so you can revisit in private. I'll make a video.
