Doctor Cox to me appears to be a man who could swear like a drunken sailor but every time he's on the verge of flying off the handle and ripping into someone he pulls out a whole load of colorful words to verbally "beat someone down with a stick". I'm waiting to see some gag reels of him slipping on some words and actually using some foul language.
I wonder how many times John McGinley laughed when he did this scene, holding those expressions that long can't be easy
