University don't provide practical knowledge at all. In hurry to complete the syllabus praticals are not paid attention. Every sem gets only 4months of time to complete the whole syllabi.

It's not easy to express and educate ppl, but whatever I heard in this video it absolutely truth. Definitely skills sets are of prime important. as mam has told in the 2nd entity list where she told abt the requirement of companies regarding civil engineers, one need to have those skills sets and most importantly the where to acquire these sets. As I have been to Econstruct earlier and I'm 100% satisfied and I gain required sets of skills. And I will request all the desperate civil engineers to defiantly go and get a chance to learn frm Sharadha mam and as well as The Humble Mr sandeep.

I'd like to say that our colleges and faculties are not perfectly equipped or eligible to produce or train a Civil Engineer,,, and most of all high mass of civil engineers are producing per year, so it is a tuf competition to get job in this limited field in my perspective, I think the production rate of engineer should be reduced for our better future. And may of the under rated Privet colleges should banned which are not eligible for producing engineers, thank you.

AICTE should conduct a survey of placements from colleges, and take a employability test for final year students, and ban the civil engineering department from those colleges, then only something CHANGE is going to happen. If not , then parents pay the fee for 4 years degree, and students blindly pass the time of their graduation.
Some colleges are doing BUSINESS in the name EDUCATION.
There is big difference between practical knowledge (site work) and theoretical knowledge... So how fresher know about site work, college give us only theoretical and practical (lab test) knowledge, if fresher get a chance to work in a site for 3- 6 months then they are better than others.... college give us knowledge which helps us to implement it on site...
Civil engineering is mother of engineering and my definition for civil engineering is " sasta, sundar, tikau structure".

I don't get good College ..they only focus on syllabus theory as per paper pattern but i had get practical knowledge on my level
I am Accidentally became civil engineer.. No one given job after completion of graduation due to lack off communication skills . Then I studied for competitive exam for 2 years and cleared Assistant Engineer in PWD. And takes time Another 6 to 10 months to appointment.. so I went private company interview.. Once again Failed..still waiting for appointment order from Government
I m diploma holder in 1987, earn experience apprx. 30 years, In my life, I have seen many companies appoints freshers in less payment due to less expense more profit, its not necessary to know every condition filled by civil engineer, according to field wise civil Engineer if satisfies all quarry, its well for every one but in civil engineer have capacity to tackle every situation , if experience or mentally satisfied. 1. "I will study civil engineering ." this though I got, when I was in 9th class.
2. I study hard along with practical and real imagination.
Still I working hard in field with 4 year experienc execution . I wants to go ahead with construction project manager. And want to learn MSP and primavera.

1)I choose by chance civil engg.
2)University syllabus opposite to industrial needs.
3)College faculties only interested in complete syllabus, NO Practicle implimentation, only interested in main exam score ( for college self fame)
4)We have freedom to choose project, but we don't work like real project, we directly copy theory from google & memorise some aspect &complete project.(In diploma)
5)After comleting engg. with highly frustration, we not draw simple design, its absolutely right

Actually it's an interesting field if we do it practically. there is a gapi n between reality projects and inside classroom but here I feel during summer the students need to do internships to get knowledge I really accept this from mam.

100% AGREE WITH YOU, BECAUSE WHATEVER I STUDIED FROM OUR COLLEGE NO1 TOLD US HOW TO USE THIS KNOWLEDGE ON FIELD HOW TO IMPLEMENT THE METHODS ON SITE, MAY BE TEACHER WERE NON INDUSTRY PERSON SO THEY GAVE US GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF BOOK BUT I THINK EVERY CIVIL ENGINEER REQUIRES PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE ALONG WITH THEORY.
MAIN PROBLEM IS LAST YEAR PROJECT, DURING MY STUDIES THE PROJECT TOPIC WAS GENERAL & IT WAS DECIDED BY GENERAL VOTING/ MAJORITY OF STUDENTS. WE DID SURVEY PROJECT LIKE ROAD PROJECT, AND IT WAS ONLY HELPFUL FOR 4 STUDENTS WHO JOINED THE JOB IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, REMAINING 50 STUDENTS WERE TOTALLY BLANK WHEN THEY PASSED OUT, YES THEY GOT VERY GOOD % BUT IT WAS USELESS.
