I heard rumors that Drunkman originally wanted to make the first Last of Us a revenge story and Joel would die in that, but plans changed later. So I would still like to think Bruce Straley kept Drunkman in line, but I'm open to any claims that prove otherwise. Either way, the guy clearly has issues and probably shouldn't be allowed to be a lead writer for a long time. Also, what you said about The Last of Us Part 2's production being a bad experience for workers sounds similar to what happened in Rocksteady, the developers of the Batman Arkham games. For context, there's been allegations of sexual harassment within the studio and the two main devs didn't really do anything about. So it's saddening that another once beloved studio fell into the same territory and even though I haven't played many Naughty Dog games, it doesn't look good for any games they'll make in the future.
That isn't a rumor that would actually happend druckmans even talks about it. Tess would have hunted down Joel and ellie however the devolepers of naughty dog didn't realy like it so they scrapped it.
Druckmann is a man who lacks passion of a story he made. What made the original The Last Of Us game such a masterpiece was showing how the end of the world would affect mankind. Joel preventing the cure to save Ellie was understandable because it reminded us that it was humanity that killed his daughter not the parasite that brought the apocalypse. Seeing the world with all the people left was filled with murderers and cannibals. Ellie the only immune, was forced to be sacrifice without given a choice to save humanity. In the end, Ellie already knew Joel stopped the attempt for the cure and accepted it because Joel never abandons her to die. Ellie already know what she wanted the most, a family. The ending leave us wondering the outcome of Joel choice. Most and myself would agree on his decision. After everything we seen he and Ellie went through. Thid proves that humanity was not worth saving even if there was a cure. What made part 2 rightfully hated was Neil insulted what everything that made the first game great. Turn a sequel into his own wet dream that targeted woke minorities.
For the last of us part 2. I would say dual perspectives work when the protagonists of each go through different character arcs. Ellie and abby go through the same arc. They set out for revenge, then by the end realize that revenge is bad. If you ask me the reason why the story felt exhausting, that was why.
the whole ellie part is her downfall and the entire abby part is her redemption while facing the consequences of her own personal downfall from when she was out for revenge, the way these arcs intertwined was really well done, give the game another playthrough you'll see :)
@@slickyrickythe downfall for ellie and the downfall for abby are not comparable, the game constantly shits on the original game and then does exactly the same levels for abby, wtf dude, is literally common sense
The game lost me and it wasn’t even Joel’s death. It was the premise for revenge. Ask anyone this, In a post apocalyptic world with scarce resources and filled with thousands of infected and murderous lunatics(ok everyone’s likely a lunatic at that point), who would risk their life and travel say 100+ miles on foot/boat just to get revenge on someone who might be dead(infected) by the time you get there? Of course along the way you kill a lot of innocent people(thus likely triggering additional revenge) that you probably could’ve just used stealth to get from one area to the next. And that’s just Ellie, Abby was able to get a whole tactical crew together in the dead of winter just to go find Joel and they almost lost their lives to that effect. That’s crazy that those people and resources would be wasted on a whim with no real gain for the 3rd parties. Anyone who says TLOU2 is the greatest game ever is out of their minds. TLOU 1 is a bonafide classic with a story that’s worth debating on for decades to come. TLOU2 offers nothing of the sort.
the point of this game is proven by people who make videos like this (i got through 14seconds) youre supposed to hate what happens in that reality and feel what the characters felt; Abby, Ellie and the players that love the game are the ones that learned from the harsh reality and that its best to accept and move on in order to take that hate out of their mindset and just love. These games are undoubtedly perfect in that it's goal to replicate true humanity was achieved due to the parallels with these kinds of reactions.
Idk about that man... Looking at psn reviews it gets 5/5 from almost every player. Think you should rather ask yourself if people who hate on it even played it lol.
Thank you hah. I feel like point of both games is that you're supposed to feel conflicted. You're supposed to dislike certain paths the story takes and you should in the second game dislike actions of both main characters. The fact that so many people hate the second game is proof it did exactly what it set out to. Neil himself has said he doesn't care if you love or hate his work, but if it caused you strong emotional reactions then it did what he intended. Both stories are centered around love and loss. The first centers on Joel rekindling his ability to love, and then what he will do out of that love. The second centers on Ellie's love for Joel, and what she is willing to do because of it. The game, especially the end, is about her finally being able to let Joel go, realizing that pursuit of vengeance will get her nothing in the end but cost her everything. The only thing is I don't know where they'd go with a third part. The only thing I can think of is the cure situation, maybe go outside the country finally. But the games have those overarching angle of love so that still has to be there.
Honestly I liked Last of Us 2, but I get is a very divisive game. I thought you would focus more on the creative abyss that is the last of us series, which is basically the game cut scenes plus filler. Everything in the series is a copy of the game at best and ridiculously worse at worst.
@@DEDSUGAMING it doesn't add to the story at all it was very obvious they liked each other throughout the game my main issue was the slow part where you walk around the house and stuff right before the end of the game. overall I just think its weird if it was a straight couple I would get as annoyed (I'm not actually upset its just a opinion i have and i don't take it to seriously)
If we are going to analyze evil, it seems we need a deep dive into Black Rock and Vanguard.

SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget blizzard who were SA 'ing their female employees
The fact that he puts that Anita chick on a pedestal is enough for me to stay away from anything he's attached himself to.
doesn't mean that he'll uphold what she preaches against for for anything that Neil creates... the whole TLOU2 is the prime example of that.
Why does the tone of this video make Neil sound like he's the leader of a drug cartel 😂
Sh-sh
Noel is the type, that would make red dead redemption without the redemption and make Arthur get killed by a fishing rod
like you even understand what the 'Redemption' aspect is of both the RD games, you're such a superficial Drone...
The fact that Neil Druckmann is from Israel speaks volumes itself a lot.
I can't wait for him to cover analyzing evil: Rocksteady
😂😂😂because they put out sucide squad game which is pretty fun
