    Here is part one of yet another arcade restore! This time we are going to restore a Midway Pac-man mini, or cabaret, arcade game. In this video we'll take a road trip to pick up the game and visit my friend Walt's arcade. In his arcade we'll check out some of his games including Tron Legacy Pinball, Stern Indiana Jones, SEGA's Star Wars Trilogy, and much more! We'll also come back to John's Arcade to assess the cabinet and what work needs to be done, and also test a Nintendo Vs. board.
    Stay tuned for future installments of this restoration as we start to tear the game down and rebuild it to factory new! This is gonna be quite the task! :)

    This couldn't have come at a better time for me. I just picked up a Centipede cabaret last week that needs some work, and it's about the same shape as your Pac-Man. So i'll be watching for sure. Cheers!

    I'm working on one of these myself. Keep doing these videos man, before you started on the Gyruss one I was scared to try doing the metalwork, i'd just concentrated on the electronics, now I want all my machines to look really good as well as play 100%. Longer videos rock in my opinion.

    Sorry for the late comment, but never saw these clips, since I saw your earlier videos I was shocked at the shape the pacman was in! You did a fantastic job on it. Again I just love your videos, I get to live the dream through your videos. I don't own a single game due to cash restraints, my dream games are pretty simple. Would love a normal upright Ms PacMan, & Galaga. Pinballs are my favorite, my top 3 : Funhouse, Circus Voltaire, Haunted House.

    Hi John. Big fan of your youtube channel. I've already watched a few dozen of your restoration videos and they're very informative and helpful.
    I'm interested in building a cabinet that's roughly similar to your Pac-Man cabaret cabinet. Is it possible for you to give me the rough dimensions? They don't have to be exact, as it's not going to be a copy, just close enough to get me in the ballpark.
    Thanks and keep the videos coming!

  • @DaveyLoosesWeight
    @DaveyLoosesWeight 11 років тому

    Hi John, any chance of getting some dimensions of this cabaret cab? I really like the look of it and would love to build one for myself.
    Also, I'd love to build a donkey kong cab, but I'm kind of confused as to how the marquee glass and bezel glass are connected, or kept in place. Building the cab wouldnt be a problem for me, but small details like how this front glass is mounted puzzles me.
    Thanks.

    alright i'm going to teach you and walt a trick for that star wars game. notice there are two buttons on the joystick. tap the trigger with your index finger on the front, then tap the top button with your thumb, then bounce your hand back and forth between those two buttons. get into a rhythm with that movement and you will shoot like a machine gun.
    i can beat the entire game on one quarter using this technique.
