My wife has an aunt who is an alcoholic and 100% blind. She became blind from drinking a bad batch of gin and her way of coping with being blind is to drink 2 bottles of cognac a day, every day. She's never worked and goes on holiday twice a year and has about 12 credit cards. How she pays them off is just to get another credit card, yet they're falling over each other to offer her more credit. 🤦♂😂
And you might be thinking, surely this'll only work short term. By some miracle she's in her mid 50s and has been doing this without any income, savings or inheritance for 30 years. 🤷♂🤨 Pretty soon she will die and the credit card companies will get nothing.

Did you say it's cheaper here in Florida??? Car , home , & flood insurance are all astronomical. Housing is out of control. Our everyday inflation is 2-3 times higher than the rest of the country. People have been moving in and out of the state within a yr because they can't afford it. They thought having no state income tax would be great until they needed it to pay for everything else & were worse off. Its bad right now. So we really related to Louis bit!!
No human was supposed to do what we are doing. I honestly believe the fact that we are put under scholastic and by extension financial pressure at age 15-16 to get a good education to get a good job to make good money and keep making good money to afford life is insane. The more important this becomes the more our mental health suffers.
That doesn’t make any sense. Do you think hunter/gatherers weren’t stressed? They literally spent their life looking for food while trying to avoid being eaten! Humans have always lived hard and it’s better now than ever.

Get food (either hunting animals or pick berries from shrubs), eat and sleep in a cave.
What do we have to do?
Eat, sleep, go to work, pay taxes, rent and whatever other bullshit one has to pay for, being forced to work for and with assholes and psychopaths, having to deal with mental distress because of all the different kinds of stimuli we are being put through (commuting, dealing with inflation etc. you get the fucking deal) and many more things, the list is long.

Yeah, my house(fully paid for) in Alabama cost about 150K to build(me and my dad did most of the construction), back in the mid 80's, was appraised then at 250K. The same house in the NYC area would cost you several million, then the 160 acres it sits on would cost another 800 million. Current land prices here are around 3200 per acre, in NYC, 5 million per acre. Supply and demand.

I live in Branford Ct which can be expensive but up the road if you will in Madison you could easily pay 3 grand a month in rent and that's just a
