I have shop at dollar tree for over 30yrs ,I buy these small items to share with family members if needed to plan meals when funds are low, it's been working for our family and friends for 30 years. Next shopping trip I'm stocking up as usual. Best to yall.
I've been doing the same thing for 5yrs. I really stocked up from the dollar tree when things were just one dollar. However I don't have a Walmart near me so I shop at Lidl for the remainder of my groceries.
at the price of gas these days, you might want to weigh that out, I'd rather spend a little more for the cans at the market than give $$$$ to the gas companies! Or you can just wait until Trump retakes the Presidency!
Good morning 🌞 i get to doller tree once in a while . But i think I'll plan on getting to these stores real soon and make sure im well stocked . Thank you for sharing . I hope everyone has a blessed day 🙏
I have been have such fun shopping Dollar Trees lately. All the great Dupes in the HBA section. We buy a few things in food sections but not a lot due to our diets.
I love $Tree, too! Another thing I suggest you have in your dental care stockpile is a dental repair kit (in case you lose a filling), and a dental tool kit so someone can look in there to see what's happening.
Haven't been to Dollar tree in a while but will start again. The last few times I went to the one in our area there wasn't much food which was really disappointed because several of our preps were from Dollar tree last year.
It always amazes me that there are so many differences between Dollar Trees, even within on city. I don;t go as often as I used to. I generally pick up the kipper snacks.I like them and they are incredibly full of protein.I get the Brunswick packs, which have already been convenient. I like the tamales. Many are cheaper there, many are not as reasonable as Kroger or Walmart.n The coconut flour is a decent price.
Yrs ago my sister and I went to the 1st Dollar Tree opening in Chesapeake VA. One of the lady customers was a well known area lawyer. In conversation, she told us she bought stock, advised us to do the same. I mean, this was before DT was even a store hardly anyone shopped at. She also was a shareholder in a famous craft shop company that took off a few yrs later. Wish we had known then about stocks and shares.
It's due to a process called Ultra High Temperature (UHT) processing. The milk is heated to a temperature between 275 and 300 degrees Fahrenheit. When Dollar Tree used to carry Gossner's my son home from Fort Benning Boot camp was a happy camper. This is what they drank at "The Fort". I have to say tho, this is a young man who as a child despised bananas(still does), PB, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes😳 For him to say "I LIKE" was a shock to me😂
I buy 20-30 boxes of their Hungry Jack pancake mix every 2 weeks, they are a great size to distribute in food boxes. I would love to buy cases directly from DT but they don't give you any break on shipping costs at all ; it's ridiculous. We tried the modern pantry shelf stable milk but it has a chalky consistency to it, better for recipes than for drinking
Don't they ship free to your dollar tree. That doesn't save your time since you have to go to pick it up, but at least you get the amount you want. That's a nice thing you are doing for the food pantry.
@@37degreesnorth76 Good point. I was referring to the ship to home feature but I have one right across the street so I will go that route. I appreciate the compliment as well. Things are so difficult for a lot of people these days that eating 2-3 meals a day should not be a luxury
@@chaz134 Every once in awhile they offer 50%-100% off on shipping cases to your home. A little over a month ago, I ordered 5 cases of things I buy regular when they had free shipping. If you become a member of their website, you should get an e-mail when these shipping deals are. They just had a 50% off one. Like you, I have one very close, but when it's free, I do it lol.
Hi Danno, top of the morning to you! Happy Friday! I've noticed dollar tree no longer has Goya pigeon peas, so disappointed because that was the cheapest place to get those 😢
I always find neat things at Dollar tree. I like lemon water and I found the small sqeeze pure lemon juice there. I like them for traveling as they don't take up much room.
Goya beans, bushes beans, tomatos, tuna, Campbell's soup, barilla pasta, knorr sides, and augratin potatoes are all $.99 at Fred Meyer (kroger) this week.
I shopped at Ralph's here in Southern California which is Kroger and totally got great deals with the buy 3 or 5 more deals. Plus the Chex Cereal is 1.99....that's for Traditional chex mix for the holidays 😃 I spent a 100.00 and got so much
I always keep PB&J in the office for emergencies. You never know when you miss lunch and need something. I even have Peanut butter and banana sandwiches for breakfast. I always buy strawberry preserves from Dollar tree. Can't beat the price and it's pretty good. Not sure about that brand. Will have to check mine out to see if they have it.
I recently tried the Omega rice. Not terrible but when you wash it you might have some things you need to pick out. Just wash it good and you will be fine.
Be careful when buying the store brand/off brand food at Dollar Tree and read the labels. A lot of them are made in China and India. (This also applies to the medicines and toiletries)
@@MajesticMe429Very few medications found in a pharmacy come from the US. Most of our pharmaceutical, especially antibiotics come from China and to a lesser degree India.
FILLED MILK ius cheapened with OIL. Not good milk for substitution for fresh milk SHTF. We once found BIG Hereford packs of beek, I did not get enough. Get things you see at Dollar Tree. People order them in bulk by the case and they are GONE. I wish I had though to look for the Hereford before everyone else did.
I stopped at my Dollar Tree for a calendar. I have never seen such a mess. Everything was strung out, boxes everywhere, seemed like nothing was where it should have been. Looked like a going out of business place. Wasn't much product on any of the shelves. It's always been a cluttered mess but never that bad. I have a Family Dollar/Dollar Tree in my little town but the $1.25 items are limited. Not sure I will go back to the store in the city. NE Oklahoma.
French's onion are on rollback for 3.72$ for 6 ounces. Walmart. That's about 10$ a pound for fried onions. I do like them in salads or green beans, but yikes the price. And that's rollback. Regular price is even more. The dollar tree ones are about half the price. Havent tried them myself yet.
Unfortunately the mayo is mostly soybean since that's the first ingredient. The wonton strips are really good. Really good deal on the pasta I try to pick some up when i go there. I love the organic coconut flour and the shelf stable milk and i have gone 6 months past the BB date and its fine. I did not care for the donut cafe classic blend pods My son and I like the Bai drinks i have to avoid Pure life water because it has magnesium in it and that makes my mouth dry We always just use ziploc bags for cereal on a road trip I loved the Dutch maid saltines i was bummed they switched to the others, i dont care for them. Aldi has a good saltine and not expensive. The DT by where i used to live always got the wound kit boxes for 1.25 but the other one by us now does not get them ever. I was bummed when the other store got closed they had a whole lot more that they would get in it was a really nice store very well traveled always busy I don't understand why it was closed. The other Dollar tree also had the freezer stuff this one doesn't have that so it's kind of a bummer too.

Think I need to make a $ Tree run tomorrow! Thanks Danno- ❤to you and Jess❤
Just mentioning just left Kroger and got home. Imagine my surprise when the Goya beans are part of the b5save$5!! .99cents per can of Goya😀
I grew a ton of tomatoes this year, and I just canned 14 pints of marinara sauce! Took a long time to get it to taste right.

I have started shopping at dollar tree for some pantry staples, trying stretch my dollar as far as I can, since I am retired.

Dollar Trees great but you could spend 50 to 100 in there so quick and easy if you arent careful.
