I use better than bouillon for anything I want to add flavor to. Soups, stocks, pasta dishes, rice, stir fry’s. Just add it a little at a time because it will oversalt your dish. You can always add more but can’t take it out.
To do bake potatoes in the slow cooker wrap in foil cook on high for 4hours comes out perfect if potatoes are huge do 5-6 hour but always wrap each one in foil first
I add Better than Bullion to the water I cook rice in, to soup, to gravy, to stir fries, it just adds a depth of flavor. I do bake my potatoes in the crock pot, but it only takes about three hours, I think overnight would be to long.
@penelopepittstopP no the skin does not crisp… you have to add a bit of water in the bottom and the potatoes go on a grate above the water. They pressure steam. But I then use those potatoes after refrigeration for a night to make hash browns or twice baked potatoes and that crisps them up nicely!! And they cook so much faster!!
Yep GHEE is the best stuff for put on biscuits and everything is tastes really good good plus is delicious and not need to put in the refrigerator if you want, and it better than butter and less fat
I went to Costco for the very first time over the summer. My husband and I are both gluten free so I loved all the GF products! My favorite buys were the King Arthur Gluten Free All Purpose flour and the 2-pack of gluten free bread. The prices for both were far better than anything I can buy at our local stores.
And I always shop the outside of the store. All the stores. I've made a point to make most of our snacks at home and usually just need fresh produce. I'm saddened by what is allowed in our food and looking forward to a change!
Easy delicious crockpot beef roast- put roast in slow cooker, cover the top with Better Than Beef Bouillon. Sprinkle ranch dressing powder over top and lay a few pats of butter over all. Add a little water to the pot and cook on low 8-10 hrs. So yummy, and so easy!
I'm huge on homemade and get all our meat from my dad. I do buy and use the bullion. I get both chicken and beef. It's not ideal but it's so easy. I use them both for soups, I make a lot of beef roasts, I use them to flavor rice and stir fries. Again, homemade is best but it's the best in a pinch. Instead of buying the broth in cardboard, I love the better than bullion!
That beef bouillon you have in the jar is also good in stir fry with vegetables then have it with noodles or rice. I have small jar as well, but I don’t eat much beef. You can use it on Philly steak n so on.
I’ll say it again, I love that you’re honest and realistic about food! We eat organic, local, grass fed (all the things), but it’s nice to have quick and easy freezer foods available too!
Everything in moderation! I was a full blown stickler organic mom with babies 1-3- from homebirth to cloth diapers to food, and I learned it’s okay and we will all survive. I learned to let go and live more free. It’s a good balance🌻🌻🌻
We were too poor but my neighbor had Tupperware and the Tupperware kids cups. I was invited to a Tupperware party and bought the kids sippy cups as an adult for my kids. Finally, I had the sippy cups my friends had.
Love shopping at Costco! Your haul is fantastic! Wool socks are the best! I almost got the bacon bits, almond butter and a few other items. I also got the protein powder (I put a scoop in my oatmeal) , Orgain protein powder was $8 off, so instead of $34, it was $26, paper towels and was tempted by the beef stew meat deal. I got a kitchen mat that feels like a cloud that was only $14. I did get coconut oil for cooking (dairy allergy) and healing scrapes on skin, 8# of fresh chicken drumsticks for $0.99/pound and a $5 rotisserie cooked chicken (chicken meat for sandwiches, quick soups & bones for bone broth), olive oil, big bag chia seeds $8.70, canned tuna, corn for my pantry, slivered almonds for $7, Folger's coffee, dill pickles, olives, vanilla, 48 oz minced garlic which I will freeze in ice cube tray & bag for easy storage in my freezer. You got like, about 1.5 pounds of "free" hamburger buying it that way at $7 under the prepackaged kind. Higher quality which is great! I paid over $5 per pound at Aldi the other day. I'll look for your recipe for the protein powder snack bites. I enjoy learning from others and just found your channel. I love my Food Saver machine and portioned off a 10# bag of jasmine rice this morning. Thank you for sharing your hauls and food storage methods!
I’m going to give it a few weeks and get another. There are so many in the market now!! I saw one from Walmart that was prettier than the one I had. 1. Water is tasteless. Always use broth or bouillon when possible. The difference in taste is incredible. 2. The chub of ground beef is $4.70/lb for 90/10. In Greater Cincinnati, Kroger sells 3- and 5-lb chubs for $5/lb for 80/20. I'll take Costco any day!
Thank you for sharing your burger pricing!! I have always made my own broths for the last decade- I was definitely looking for a little kitchen helper for the times the food needs a boost. It’s been great so far!
I live in Maine so I understand winter weather. No need to risk your lives getting groceries so it was good idea to stock up. Also, over in the back corner wall near the alcohol, they have some good duracell lanterns that use solar and/or batteries. We grabbed some for the many Southern Oregon power outages! $20..oh and you can charge a phone too.
I buy Kirkland grass fed butter made in New Zealand 🇳🇿 so yummy. Manuka organic honey from New Zealand they are well known for their. Dairy honey and New Zealand ghee grass feed cows and krispy cream donuts for my boys. And avocado oil dry freeze fruit are my favorits

No Costco here--we have BJ's which is similar but smaller! I need to do a pantry challenge or something before the holidays to use up a bunch of random food and get organized for another stock up!
Pantry challenge is coming up in January!! I’ll be tackling some food rotation and organization when we halt the grocery store trips for a month or two.
Back in the day we did this too but we lived out in nowhere so if we got a good snow it could take them a month to get to us. We did it on a much bigger scale. We where feeding 12. So good for you stocking up.
Thank you Bubbles!! We have steadily worked over the past decade to build a long term food pantry we rotate through. It’s a blessing to have “just in case”.
I use better than bullion in everything. I have the chicken beef and vegetable flavor. If I don’t need a whole quart of broth I use the better than bullion. I will even add a little bit to my riced cauliflower for a little flavor. It has so many uses.
I use beef billion or better than beef in all green veggies. Also squash. Add it to veggie soup. I have a home daycare. Many parents can't believe their children eat their veggies here. I tell them the beef bouillon is the secret ingredient. I have made broth with it when I've ran out of homemade or boxed. I've never been to Cosco. Not one near by. But I shop at Sams Club.
I don’t think the ground beef was cheaper. Costco’s in Oregon(at least the ones in Hillsboro, Beaverton and Tigard for sure) used to give discounts for larger tubes of ground beef or larger uncut meats, but they don’t anymore.

@jessicaleibret8772 well they were making a hearty broth, cooking it down then freeze drying into bouillon. I may do that eventually after I catch up on life.
My Mom, who passed away last Nov at 103, loved to go to Costco. Was simply amazed that they had so many things there. Loved the free samples they had and my nephew would always get her pizza. Since I don't like pizza, she got her fill there. 😅 Looks like you got quite a bit of stuff for stock ups. I do the same thing when I go there.
Hi Linda, thank you for sharing the sweet story of your mom’s love of Costco trips. I’ll be thinking of you as the one year memorial passes. I think it’s incredible she lived double the age of my late mother. I saw two elderly ladies there yesterday- the younger let me go ahead of her down an isle and when I looked behind her- a lady with a walker was slowly strolling and browsing. It was so sweet to see- in the rush of it all on a busy Sunday, she was enjoying her stroll and he had her protective and patient daughter there to guide her safely around. I really miss my mom. Just had my 41st birthday- it’s painful without her. My mother in law passed a few years ago- she was like a mother to me. It’s been a bit lonely without her daily calls to chat with the kids. Grief is love with nowhere to go. Sending you some big ((hugs))🌻🌻🌻
@@RowesRising Thank you. I thought of her when you said you were going to browse around the store first. I'm NOT a big shopper, but she wanted to look at everything in the store. 😄 Only store she would go in. Was glad she went, cause she loved doing it till she passed.
I buy fresh produce every week from our local stores. Occasionally we drive 1.5 hours to Costco to stock up on everything else. We were already stocked on produce when we were able to get a winter haul in before the snow.
Watching this makes me wish we had a Costco nearby. I have a Sam's membership, but Costco appears to have so much more organic options. Great haul! I believe its smart and responsible to have extra before the upcoming election.
Hi MJ!! I have never been to a Sam’s club before. Yes Costco does have a lot of organic. It’s about 1.5 hours drive away from us. 😅 It’s a rare trip!! I agree- we should be prepared for anything.
BTB is good in soups and sauces, for gravies, stir fry, etc. It's a great flavor booster on veggies. But a note, it has salt, so don't add extra salt without tasting first.😊
Now that they put natural flavoring in everything, I don't use bouillon anymore. I use to put it in so much. Making a chicken, tenderloin, beef, Turkey, whatever, I'd throw some in the broth to give it some extra bold flavoring. Now that we raise and hunt most of our meat, i have a crap ton of broth, so i just use that. Makes me so mad that they are putting all this toxic crap in our foods. 😡😡😡 I just talked with someone over the weekend and he was telling me that 4 family members in the same family was just diagnosed with some form of cancer. 😢😢😢
@@RowesRising rotten YT keeps deleting my responses. There are plenty of sites that explain what it really is. Purefoods is one of them. It's 90 percent chemicals.
Thank you for the walk through and great haul. I've never been in a Costco because closest is 4 hours away. I do have a Sam's but unfortunately they aren't strong on Organic items like Costco ❤
Judge if you must. I never claimed to be perfect. I make 21 meals a week mostly from scratch. Who gives a hoot if we have a few meals a month processed. Seriously. 😅 At least I’m honest, I can’t say that for a lot of vliggers like me.
Potato's cooked in the airfryer are awesome. I wash them dry them and rub olive oil on each one, then I sprinkle salt on each one and cook them. It takes about 35 minutes. I cooked 3 to four at a time.
Yes we need all the warm clothes Tiffany! For the first time in 13 years we turned the heat up to 70’f to see how much it costs for a month of warm. I am bundled up at 68’f. Still wearing wool and fleece inside my house at 70’f.
Hi Katie it's me Bonita from Cape Town South Africa just poping in to say I have some news my daughter gave birth to a baby girl last week now I have 2 granddaughters but the one of 6 lives with me from baby nice to see you guys doing great 🙏✌️👍
I like the Better than Bouillon when you make rice, instead of plain water add 2/3 stock, broth, etc., the rest use water, if you use 100 broth it will taste too strong, also a must is to use broth when making stuffing mix, use only 1/3 of the butter called for, use 100% light broth where it calls for water. That salami you bought, salami has allot of fat and once opened it will go rancid withing 3-6 days, for any thin cut salami I always put in freezer and leave in freezer, when you make a sandwich it will peel apart frozen and thaw out within 4 to 5 minutes and taste fresh all the time. Pre-cut salami should NOT be frigerated, just leave frozen to keep fresh.

@@RowesRising Thank you. I thought of her when you said you were going to browse around the store first. I'm NOT a big shopper, but she wanted to look at everything in the store. 😄 Only store she would go in. Was glad she went, cause she loved doing it till she passed.
Beef bullion stew any beef meat
No Costco
I like to store my chocolate in my belly . . .
The best place to store it in my opinion!!
A great investment
Well… no fresh produce departments were harmed in the making of this packaged consumer item haul. 😅😅
I buy fresh produce every week from our local stores. Occasionally we drive 1.5 hours to Costco to stock up on everything else. We were already stocked on produce when we were able to get a winter haul in before the snow.
@ sure, okay 😆
I used to always buy the logs of burger and thought it was a good deal now we get a half a cow
Hopeful we can get a 1/2 cow now that we HOPE to stay here.😅
Watching this makes me wish we had a Costco nearby.
We just have a Sam's club too. It sucks, their organic selection is slim to none.

I use better than boulion in soups and stews.
Thank you Charlene!!🌻
BTB is good in soups and sauces, for gravies, stir fry, etc. It's a great flavor booster on veggies. But a note, it has salt, so don't add extra salt without tasting first.😊
Thank you Brenda🌻🌻🌻
Now that they put natural flavoring in everything, I don't use bouillon anymore. I use to put it in so much. Making a chicken, tenderloin, beef, Turkey, whatever, I'd throw some in the broth to give it some extra bold flavoring.
Now that we raise and hunt most of our meat, i have a crap ton of broth, so i just use that.
Makes me so mad that they are putting all this toxic crap in our foods. 😡😡😡
I just talked with someone over the weekend and he was telling me that 4 family members in the same family was just diagnosed with some form of cancer. 😢😢😢
Yikes! That’s terrible. What is this “natural flavoring”?
@@RowesRising it's an ingredient that is full of chemicals. 90% of the ingredients in natural flavors are all toxic hidden ingredients.
@@RowesRising rotten YT keeps deleting my responses.
There are plenty of sites that explain what it really is. Purefoods is one of them.
It's 90 percent chemicals.
@@RowesRisingKatie, they keep deleting my comments.
I see your comments!! I just got notified with your last comment. But not the others.
🎉 wooooo hooooo I'm early
First one here!!
Thank you for the walk through and great haul. I've never been in a Costco because closest is 4 hours away. I do have a Sam's but unfortunately they aren't strong on Organic items like Costco ❤
Thank you for watching! It was so busy there yesterday afternoon. I had my family with me as well so filming in a crowd was tricky😅🌻🌻😅
WOW ! Your homemade cooking has gone out the window. But you do what you have to do🥰
Judge if you must.
That’s a great way to cook them quick!
💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you for watching!!!
Little dizzy with the camera in Costco. Had to turn off
Sorry bout that. You can fast forward past that.
I did. I’m watching again.
Great haul.
Thank you!! I will keep that in mind next time I film edit- thank you!
I also get motion sick when the camera zips around different directions. I appreciate slower movements. thanks Katie
@kittyrichards9915 I don’t even realize I was doing it. I bet it would make my husband sick- I should have him review before I post.😅Thank you!!
I'm in Alabama and I freeze like I'm in Antarctica during the winter so I love warm clothes. I say the warmer, the better.
Yes we need all the warm clothes Tiffany! For the first time in 13 years we turned the heat up to 70’f to see how much it costs for a month of warm. I am bundled up at 68’f. Still wearing wool and fleece inside my house at 70’f.
@RowesRising
Yes all of the warmest & lololol utilities are awfully expensive. It's bananas 🍌. I use my electric blanket religiously 😇.
@tiffanybenefield1980 it’s just a test for during the day. We go down to 65’f at night 😅
@@RowesRising
I understand. I test things too.
Hi Katie it's me Bonita from Cape Town South Africa just poping in to say I have some news my daughter gave birth to a baby girl last week now I have 2 granddaughters but the one of 6 lives with me from baby nice to see you guys doing great 🙏✌️👍
Congratulations Bonita! What wonderful news to hear from you today. Sending her the all the best wishes!!
Great tips, thank you so much for sharing! I always try to use up all my fresh meats as fast as possible. We freeze the spare salami too.
I tried to like your channel, you are moving that camera at the speed of light. Focus on the product
You base your whole opinion of my channel off a few rushed clips on a busy day in a packed Costco? Okay!
😂
Great haul. Suggestion- stop swaying back and forth in the intro in the future, it was literally making me nauseous!🤢
I will! 12 years of swaying babies is still engrained 😅
@@RowesRising❤❤I hear ya! Sometimes if I’m holding one of my cats, I find myself swaying like I’m holding a baby!😂
The lighting is terrible
You should be a vlogger. Sounds like you have it all figured out.
If you are trying to show what is for sale, you might want to slow down while filming!
