Purple can be made by mixing blue and red. Blue is the color of the sky/heavens. Red is the color of the earth from which Adam came and his name is linked. If blue speaks of Christ’s divinity and red speaks of his humanity, the two are blended perfectly together in the purple!

Great point! Makes sense that purple would then represent a king who would rule over mankind with the authority of God.
